He landed on his back/side with his arm breaking his fall.

'We have to protect the game': Barrett's controversial red for face kick splits fans

You are joking right? Koroiete stands in front of him waiting for him to hit the ground, and gets kicked in the head. I know people are one eyed but trying to say being kicked in the head is making contact is ludicrous.

You know with this modern technology you can pause the video yourself and see it frame by frame?
36 seconds into the video above, shoulder right into the face. And Mitchel is flying, like he launched himself.
Manu is being tackled by Gagai, in that situation height and target point are likely to change suddenly, running in like that is reckless. He should be out for 8 weeks.

Another crazy chapter in the Book of Feuds as Mitchell's moment of madness stuns Manu

This is silly, of course you would take the second innings 100. The reason sides lose test matches is in part because no-one scores big in the 4th innings. If you could have someone banging out hundreds in the 3rd and 4th innings then that would reverse this trend.

First innings versus second: Does the timing of runs matter?

What person from any generation wants to be yelled at for something beyond their control? Maybe the gen Ys stand out because an older person would know exactly where to tell him to shove his carry on.
You can be as angry as you like if you are Kerry Packer and own the business, or a park cricket coach who can punt players until you get ones that get along with you.

You mightn’t lose someone the first time you yell at them, or even the 10th or maybe even the 100th. But at some stage you are going to hit a sore point, or on a day they just broke up with the missus, or they just get sick of taking it.

BRETT GEEVES: 'The day I truly believed Justin Langer was going to kill me'

Sigh, a shoulder charge can be executed standing still. Most of them are.

Flegler have nothing to do with it.

'The rules are ridiculous, with unbearable outcomes': NRL inconsistencies not all the referees' fault

Warren Boland, Quentin Hull, Peter Wilkins, Andrew Moore in no particular order. And I liked Brian Smith in the expert bit and Matthew Elliot is good too. Warren Ryan great too.

As for the list, take a few out and it might as well double for the 15 worst commentators ever…

And out of left field, I have always enjoyed Mark Geyer’s commentary. He might play a big boofhead but he knows his stuff.

Sterlo says 'freeze it there'. So where does he rank in rugby league's top 20 commentators list?

Um what you have described IS a shoulder charge. The ‘charge’ part is purely figurative, you don’t have to be running to make one, most of them are from a stationary position.
The reason it is NOT a very low risk tackle is that when you completely stop someone’s momentum in an instant like that their head snaps forward and a lot of times straight into the shoulder.
Cleary’s tackle was a textbook example of what they were trying to ban. Either get out of the way or make an arms tackle.

You just play it south african style. You only have to play for what 16 mins, fitness is a waste. Let the other team get all fancy against your 150kg avg forward pack.

'Grossly negligent': Lions legends call for end of finishers and impact subs to make rugby 'safer'

So every player instantly needs to put on another 20kg of muscle if they only need to get through 40 mins.

'Grossly negligent': Lions legends call for end of finishers and impact subs to make rugby 'safer'

Hello Rob9, what you are saying is most likely correct. BUT.

What you have forgotten to factor in is that everyone is always at peak fatigue. When guys were playing in long pants and caps they would just just as blown as today’s athletes who train 5 days a week. Every piece of sweat that isn’t on someone’s brow is just an indication that they need to put on 5kg more muscle. So the fatigue isn’t changing but the bodies are getting bigger. You should be able to work out the solution from here.

'Grossly negligent': Lions legends call for end of finishers and impact subs to make rugby 'safer'

Considering there are lots of injuries that head in under a week then this doesn’t make a lot of sense. Sitting out two weeks because a head cut or dislocated finger?

'Grossly negligent': Lions legends call for end of finishers and impact subs to make rugby 'safer'

Just make anyone needed injury assessment have to get a testicle squeeze and finger up the bum examination before being allowed to go off. That should discourage all but the most pressing of injuries.

'Grossly negligent': Lions legends call for end of finishers and impact subs to make rugby 'safer'

Funnily enough the players could indeed set a scrum without a conference in league once a time limit was put on it.

'Grossly negligent': Lions legends call for end of finishers and impact subs to make rugby 'safer'

It never stopped specialists back before the huge bench. Why would it stop it now?

Is this a Nathan Cleary shoulder charge that everyone missed?

I don’t think the rules allow for biffing someone in the head because they bob and weave…

“but he bobbed and weaved sir!”

'One of the worst I've seen': Raiders forward sent off for massive high shot on Storm halfback

Save the black armband for people who fall for that rubbish.

We should all thank Rassie

Is it possible to criticise something without bringing something totally unrelated into it? Myself, I didn’t realise how crazy he was until I saw a man riding an electric wheel.

We should all thank Rassie

The pathetic heritage that brought you the security and safety you live in today. What have the Romans ever done for us?

We should all thank Rassie

But shutting down and putting the country under house arrest to benefit a small portion of society who might die from the virus is ok?

Why are you selfishly putting your own personal preferences ahead of the needs of society??

'I will protect your right to be an idiot': NRL players must be free to be unvaccinated

Well that’s very condescending. You don’t have the patience to argue with someone because your view is so obviously correct.
Your post seems to boil down to, rules are there to be followed, which is what I see when someone either has no argument or doesn’t understand or know the deeper concepts behind a law or rule.
“their job or work was shut down because of somoene else’s selfishness and stupidity”, their jobs are already being shut down for the impossible job of entirely eradicating the virus. I bet you would not be so sanguine if your house was looking like being repossessed. Do we keep closing the economy until the very last job is gone?

'You’re sorry you got caught': An open letter to Api Koroisau

Spare the sanctimony. How many people do you think are ignoring the bubble and lockdown if they can get away with it? My bet is lots. You can’t impose house arrest on the whole community just in case some 90 year old in a nursing home dies. 450 people die in Australia every day, life expectancy is directly correlated to household income, how many more people are going to die or have their lives shortened from poor economic outcomes?

'You’re sorry you got caught': An open letter to Api Koroisau

I get you now.
To me he looks more like a line busting fullback like a Garry Jack or a Julian o’Neil.

Broncos roster deep dive: The three men holding Brisbane's fate in their hands

That rule didn’t applied in the origin where Haas was putting pressure on the catcher from an offside position. They ruled he had no effect on play or something.
