UFC 145: Evans on the right road to title
Thanks! This one is really tough to pick, but something tells me that lightning can strike twice and I think Rashad may get it in Atlanta.

I definitely think that Noke will be back and depending on the injury suffered, should be ok. We are seeing quite a few fighters come back from a knee injury and return to form, there should be no reason for Noke not to do the same. His gym is also one of the best in the US and I’m certain they will focus on him returning 100%.
UFC Sydney: winners and losers
Interestingly Dana White mentioned at the post-fight press conference that this was a record fight night gate. It certainly wasn’t packed out for the first fight however really did consistently fill-up until the main card.
It was a great card at the end of the day, we witnessed some great submissions and TKO victories and some really really close fights!!
UFC Sydney: Kampmann chokes one out of the bag
The rematch between McCall and Johnson should be as close as the fight was today. I think it was good of the commission to stand up and acknowledge the mistake in adding up the scorecards. Unfortunately it means we have to wait for the title, but if we have to be subjected to that fight again.. than I’m ok with it!!
UFC Flyweights impress as Johnson and Benavidez progress to final
Martin Kampmann defeats Thiago Alves via Submission (Guillotine Choke) in round 3. It really looked like Kampmann was in danger however he saw the opportunity to take Alves’ neck and pulled off the win!!

Now on to the main event of the day Martin Kampmann vs Thiago Alves. This is quite an interesting match up, with both fighters suffering a bout of losses before coming back with a win. That said, Alves previously lost to Rick Story the last fighter Kampmann faced and won.

I think this is a great addition to a card that is meant to be one of the highlights on the Vegas fight calendar. I was expecting another fight given that (unfortunately) I don’t think Cruz vs Faber III was a strong enough draw. Hopefully appearances on TUF will allow Cruz to gain more fans, he seems to be the only title holder with a somewhat low profile within the sport.
