We are of a similar vintage I think when you refer to long kicking, high marking etc ..when the game was more of a spectacle

I just think Pearce and Taylor are the lynch pins in two very good defence units which makes their work that much easier.
It’s always been , to me, get the backline really strong and organised and the team builds from there
Saying that I’d have either Pearce or Taylor a my key back…two great defenders

Agree withe the comments on Cox. He was at least getting his hands on the ball. If not marking it it came into a 50-50 situation. His ruck body work looked better as well
