Isn’t plan B to call a taxi.

Fittler explains Hynes call as Gus sinks slipper into 'fragile' Sharks half

It was decided over 12 months ago.

Why Dragons' controversial call to put faith in Flanagan could turn fortunes around but also blow up in their faces

The club was informed over 12 months ago that the sponsorship would be finishing up after 2024. Westpac buying out St George bank is the main reason for them ending their association.

Why Dragons' controversial call to put faith in Flanagan could turn fortunes around but also blow up in their faces

Hi Mike,
You have Billy Burns in the 14 & also amongst other players ?
I don’t think they’ll get the spoon. Also when you’re in the presser & Hook starts on the completions why not ask a hard hitting question that has nothing to do with this to change the conversation. Something like why did so & so only get 2 minutes off the bench or why is the attack so one dimensional.

Dragons 2023 Outlook: As St George Illawarra stare down wooden spoon, is Griffin about to get Hook?

Tedesco needs to get the hell out of the way half the time & let his halves run the show.
Way too many times he involves himself & dies with the ball.

Kangaroos Tops & Flops: Mal gets the big calls right, but Latrell and Nathan need to do more

I would think his wife has already done this, Multiple times 😂

NSWRL hit Koroisau with fine for Origin camp breach

The days of a team getting into the grind & working there way back into the contest are almost gone with the six again. What’s the point of giving a team under the pump six again on their own line if they then go & drop the ball next tackle? Blow the penalty & give them the chance to kick for touch.

Are you not entertained?

The rule is a total dogs breakfast at the whim of the refs who all have different interpretations.
One ref will be lenient on the offside & the next is pedantic. I’d like to see a penalty for offside in your own end instead of six again. What’s the point of getting a couple of resets if you’re struggling to get out of your own end when you can kick for touch & gain 30/40 metres. The other thing that irks me is the tackled player(Latrell Mitchell always) rolling/walking off the mark then the marker is pinged for ruck infringement or the defence is deemed inside the ten. Play the ball on the mark & correctly but hey the NRL want the game to be like tag these days. It almost makes me miss the dreaded wrestle in the ruck.

I was wrong about the six-again rule change

Low cover tackles are great but unfortunately they are given no rewards as the defender is not ghiven enough time to get to marker. Until they fix this low tacklinh will remain a memory to us oldies. Anyway the MRC would most likely find away to charge a low tackle with something like the hip drop tackle.

Is it back to the future for the cover defender?

If there are 2 penalties conceded in the red zone within 2 sets, especially holding down then off to the bin you go. I’d even go as far as giving the penalty in front of the post & make it worth 4 points not 2.
The other thing that drives me batty is the voluntary tackle. It’s a penalty not an opportunity for someone to just dive on the ground & take 30 seconds to get up.There was a situation the other week on the last play the ball where the dummy half just fell down on the ground with 10 seconds to go to run the clock down.Either penalise them or alloy the opposition to strip the ball from them even it they’re lying on the ground.

Spare us this 'emerging trend' rubbish, Annesley. Deliberate cheating is entrenched

TB I’ve been saying this for years now re the penalties. I reckon you’ll find that most of the offside penalties come on the 4th tackle.I’ve often heard the ref say you’ve been offside the last two tackles.Well if so just penalise them the first time, not wait til late in the tackle count.

Eight talking points from NRL Round 7

Fair enough,
I’m more than happy for Richardson to be selected. As for Copeland (or someone else similar) the conditions at the Gabba under lights as well English conditions would suit him more than Siddle. The Poms will feast off Siddle if he plays a test during the Ashes.

Australia vs Sri Lanka: First Test preview and prediction

More white noise from Todd.
The only players he comes down on are the “lesser profile” ones.
Inglis found guilty, no punishment but happy to provide a reference for him.
Sam Burgess penis gate was quickly & quietly swept under the carpet. But as soon as a reserve grader spits in public he’ll be punished.

Greenberg lays down law to NRL clubs

I can’t see the point in Siddle being in the squad let alone the 11.
If they want experience I’d rather a Trent Copeland who does more with the ball than Siddle, but hey he along with others who get overlooked are probably not of good “character” which according to Paine in his Telegraph column today is the main reason players are selected.
That’ll do me.

Australia vs Sri Lanka: First Test preview and prediction

I hope you are right Walter regarding McGregor but I have a feeling he’ll get an extension midway through the season. He has too many friends in the right places.

The NRL coaches under pressure in 2019

Very valid points Samuel,
I’m sure Maxwell would love to be batting with Kohli etc at the other end

Is Glenn Maxwell the Big Show or a no-show?

If McInnes gets injured Robson steps into hooker.

Dragons look for NRL premiership in 2019

Unfortunately I reckon they’ll extend him earlier in the season like they normally do.
This Should be his Final year.

Dragons look for NRL premiership in 2019

There’s been plenty of good ones but for me none better than Reilly.

Who are the greatest Englishmen to have played rugby league Down Under?

Nothing short of a grand final spot this year should save him for next year.If they don’t make the grand final he should be gone straight away & Not to be replaced by Young or Hornby. Someone from outside the boys club.Even Humphrey Bear could do better.

Is Paul McGregor in danger?

Langlands already is.Happy for the other two to be included.

The big SCG night, when two new Immortals became five

Time wasting is now one of the most annoying things in the game. A player gets a cramp or getting blood wiped off his head/bandaged so they have to stop the flow of the game until he’s ready? Players “walk” to scrums, restarts, sin bin etc.The other week in the tigers v dragons game Lawrence was behind the dead ball line getting treatment & play was stopped instead taking the drop out why?
The other thing that drives me mad is when a player attempts to take a quick tap the ref says wait until i mark the spot, but when they are kicking for touch from a penalty they “walk” beyond the mark by as much as 2 metres.Where’s the leadership from Greenburg & his cronies.

Rugby league must stop slowing the pace of the game

Why no mention of McCullough?.
He has delivered zero in attack around the ruck.No running game,no kicking game, nothing. The trouble with Queensland has been their forwards. The blues will do a number on them now that the pressure is off them which us NSW supporters will enjoy.

Why Ben Hunt shouldn't play Origin again

Timing is everything.Crichton has played 2 decent games this year & both just prior top selection which would be fresh in the minds of selectors.

Who will play for the New South Wales Blues?

If Brennan spoke to him last October isn’t that against the rules to talk to a player under contract.
