Wonder if the Qld heat will be a factor. Carlton lost at the Gabba to lowly Brisbane last season and also lost to them in the finals in 2009 (remember the last quarter fade out). Might be a factor, might not be, but worth mentioning even though it is a saturday nite.
Why the Gold Coast Suns will win their debut game
10th out of 15 (5-1-12) without Ablett, Brennan, Bock, Rischitelli, Fraser, Harbrow, Brown, Krakouer.. theyll still struggle tho
Why the Gold Coast Suns will win their debut game

Doomsdayers beware: don't write off the Cats in 2011
so players and coaches get punished for their club’s off-field performance? seems a bit strange dont u thnk?
FFA avoid a farce as Skilled Park surface gets the nod
“Do you think the Grand final should be played in Gosford rather than Sydney should the Mariners win v Brisbane?
Sounds like the FFA will play this in Sydney regardless (no advantage to the Mariners should it happen) so what’s the differance here?”
Difference is deferring home ground advantage from the side who earned to the side who didn’t. big difference to moving it to a neutral venue.

i actually like cahill and kewell up front. quite dangerous, and better them than scotty mac.
We're through, but Bahrain proved tough opponents
we need all the fit options we can possibly get.. positive news

Is Jedi’s lack of passing quality outweighed by the goal threat he’s presented in Qatar? He’s been quite handy with his goals.

as well it seems the big stars, like Lucas Neilll, Mark Schwarzer, Tim Cahill are doing alot of the big extended interviews. not such Harry kewell which is interesting

havent been that impressed by Iraq. i must say i thought group D was easily the weakest at the asian cup. neither north korea or UAE knew how to score goals. quite hopeless. so on that, i think we should be more than good enough to beat Iraq

Anyone want to guess how many will turn up on Sunday? I’m thinking 11,500ish?
Sunday is just the beginning for Gold Coast United
agree, bigger issues than player salaries. it probably is a problem, but if its changed it wont solve anything. just a bandage measure.
It's simple: A-League players are not overpaid
given the ‘mexican’ population on the gold coast, i’d expect a mexican wave on Sunday?!
What difference will a big Gold Coast crowd make?
Hughes was awful. what kinda shot was that?!
Can't bowl, can't bat, can't toss a coin now, either
But they’ve got Gary Ablett and Karmichael Hunt.. how can they fail :p

i thought clive palmer made no money from those sales. all food, drinks went to skilled park management who – correct me if im wrong – is owned by the qld govt? merchandise on the other hand….
Sunday is just the beginning for Gold Coast United
they’ve got good grassroots and juniors numbers though. maybe they just dont like the GCU product…
Sunday is just the beginning for Gold Coast United
