I too support the Waratahs first and any other Australian team playing against international teams. The problem with supporting the Waratahs is that after their strong game against the Crusaders they served up the most tedious game I’ve been to in a while. Every time I get re-engaged they let me down. I’m more than happy to jump on any bandwagon but I’m loathe to stay on one careering into a ditch.

Passionate, visceral, irrational tribalism is vital for any competition to succeed. Is a lack of it damaging Super Rugby?

No problem Eddie. I have enough regrets for the two of us.

Eddie puts his foot in it again by claiming 'no regrets' after leaving Wallabies in 'a better place'

Agree that shield runs should count for something but who is standing out there? All the names mentioned have been tried before and would need to be scoring career best runs in order to convince me that they were worth another go.

Test Mortem: Epic comeback win but cracks remain in line-up, Shield form has to count for something, Pat should bat higher

Yep…but then it would be authorised .

The Wrap: The two massive power shifts shaping Australian and New Zealand rugby

Who else at the World Cup could have?

Are you teasing us with something Geoff? Have the ARU merged with LIV golf?

I mean how do you physically spend that much without authorisation. Did Eddie just put it on a corporate credit card and clear out before his statements came in?

I’m a Tahs supporter but I must say I agree reference Lynagh. Still having 2 quality 10s can’t hurt I reckon.

Five things we learned: The general who caught Schmidt's eye, why next week is vital for Coleman's Tahs

I seem to vaguely remember that the Rebels had a strong legal case to remain and were threatening to sue and likely to win. The ARU were damned either way. The only solution may have been for the Force, who were coming off that Firestone sponsorship catastrophe, to buy the Rebels and absorb them. So many sliding doors moments in Australian Rugby and they are all bad.

'He screwed our state': The act that still angers Twiggy Forrest and why he's not ready to jump back in

Well mate , I’m interested as well but I just can’t put myself through the horror all over again. Would love a brief synopsis so I know who to focus my rage on and who to give a free pass to!

The Wrap: 'Curious and uncomfortable' move on the eve of SRP, and 12 players who will light up the comp in 2024

I like your alliteration there but Twiggy should be able to finance all of those on his own. We still need to find our own patrons in other states. Maybe an ad in the Financial Review . “Wanted. Eccentric billionaires!”

Rugby Australia is back where they hoped they would never return - and their next move could make or break the game

In this day and age it seems that many rugby clubs are reliant on a billionaire patron who supports the team financially for the thrill of it. The French, Japanese and for a while English clubs all have these wealthy sponsors. As results naturally improve their investments return but it is not their priority. “Welcome to Wrexham” is a great example from football. What Australia really needs is 3 or 4 more fairy godmothers who’ll throw money at Rugby because they can and because it’s fun!

He was embedded in a centralised Irish Rugby Union. With great success. I wonder what that means for centralisation here in Australia?

'We'll sack him and be in the same position': Ex-Wallaby condemns Larkham snub as Schmidt deal CONFIRMED

Paul Cully put Len in his world 15 not long ago. Hanging onto these premium Wallabies is so important for the health of our game. What we lack in money has to be compensated with a professional and nurturing environment to play your rugby in. For every RA stuff up another player ends up in France or Japan.

'What the hell is going on?': Jilted Wallaby reveals Jones chaos and tells coaching flop to 'at least be honest'

Thanks for this catchy article. I’ve got to say ,it may have been an accident but Meades doesn’t sound very apologetic!

'Stands beyond rivalry': Passing the story of Wallabies icon Ken Catchpole through the generations

“We have been clear that we do not want to copy systems from around the world – rather we want to take ideas and concepts from similar structures and apply them locally.”

Is this not copying?

CONFIRMED: 'I doubt it' - Nucifora returns to the fold after backflip, as new head of HP locked in

I’ve never been a QC fan and thought that he personally created a lot of the drama surrounding him. I also thought that he had flaws in his game that prevented him from becoming world class. However he has clearly matured on and off the field and I am very happy for him. Probably too late for him as a player but not too late for him as a man.

'It was remarkable RA couldn't see it': Quade slams Eddie chaos, praises 'phenomenal' McKellar

I’d heard he’d offered to loan them money but no more. The Force could be the perfect controlled experiment to see if a big cash investment could work. Certainly the Rebels with all their stars never won a thing.

COMMENT: 'Best interests of the game'? Hamish's dummy spit proves RA was right to cut him loose

I’m honestly so confused about the number of teams we should field. On one hand I’m told that we don’t have the talent or money for 5 teams. On the other hand having only 3 teams seems like a significant backwards step. I wish Twiggy Forest would just give Rugby $50 million dollars so that we can have it both ways.

Indian captain said he’d bat first if he won the toss so there goes that theory.

'India still best 50 overs team in the world': Former star blames 'sandpaper pitch' and toss of the coin for World Cup loss

It’s increasingly difficult for Australia to doctor our pitches given that they are all dropped in after the AFL season ends. Over the years they’ve all lost their individual characteristics and are no longer regarded as a significant factor for visiting teams.

Cooked wicket paranoia has gone too far - why should World Cup hosts lose a key privilege?

Actually when an agent calls you in the middle of a world cup tournament the correct answer is, “Are you insane? I’m in the middle of the most important month of my life. Do you know how inappropriate this is? Give yourself an uppercut. “

'I am a better coach': Eddie's head-turning take, says several teams keen on him despite Wallabies flop

Maclennan torches the place and then, without a hint of shame , states ” I am the only one who can put out this fire”. Genius.

The Wrap: What will the Wallabies' external season review reveal that we don’t already know?

Replaying Kolisi’s tackle it looks like his shoulder hit the ball first and bounced up into the head. Cane was just unlucky. All Blacks have had plenty of good fortune over the years so it balances out. They and their supporters should take comfort in the fact that they were incredibly brave in defeat and did themselves and their country proud.

There. Now I’m a genius again.
