Thanks for the positive feedback – pretty dire slide by Arsenal in the last few years. It must be very sad for Arsenal fans to see players uncovered or developed only to move away (i.e. Cesc and Nasri), while others just haven’t fulfilled their promise. Wenger is so ingrained in the fabric of the club, where do they go from here? A clean break would require a massive clear out and heavy recruitment, at a big cost. Or do they keep the faith, perhaps in vain?

It’s a pretty open competition this year – Real and Barca are clear favourites.
Although Barca have been slightly vulnerable in La Liga this year, they will bring their A-game to the Champions League. Bayern and Milan could do something, but I can’t see Chelsea getting past Napoli, who are something of an unkown quality. Struggling in Serie A, but no-one in Europe is familiar with them. Then there’s teams like Zenit, Benfica, Inter…who knows!
