The Stormers will win their Semi even though they’ve slumped in form since the Chiefs game and the Tahs have improved of late. With an all Saffa Ref panel all 50/50 calls will go the way of the Stormers as in the Bulls v Saders game.

Never write off the Crusaders, many were writing them off last weekend against the Brumbies and they hammered them. Sanzar got that right, by putting in a Neutral ref there can’t be any complaints of ref bias. The Crusaders now on an even pitch (ref) and the Dutchmen having lost momentum after last weekend and not playing at home will lose their semi!

Stormers v Saders in the final!

If the Waratahs go for it they can beat the Stormers

Haven’t we heard all this before (re chasing top league players), what’s the point leave them in their game rather use the money to develop youngsters who want to play Union and have a desire to play a truly international game.

If they approach the ARU all fine and well but I don’t see the point in chasing them!

Memo to the ARU: get Greg Inglis, now!

KGW – Agreed no one can say yay or nay with regards to match fixing and it’s not such a stetch of the imagination – seems everyone has forgotten about the Proteas captain Hansie Cronje and his match fixing…..

Fielding a weakened team could backfire on Bulls

I think you’re also overlooking the fact that the reason SA economy is where it is now is because of the billions sepnt on new stadiums, the upgrade to the JHB airport, the new KZN airport, the Gautrain all in prepartion for WC kick off in 30 days.

What happens next year when all those billions have to be paid back? Where will the economy be then?

You just have to google “Death of JHB” and “Death of Durban” to see where it’s all going!

Fielding a weakened team could backfire on Bulls

Ck just curious how you come to the conclusion SARFU is the strongest link in SANZAR?

Fielding a weakened team could backfire on Bulls

Give Daley a run, he’s been in superb form for the reds!

Two Big Bens in line to fill Robinson's No.1 jersey

All I can say for certain is that Robbie’s job is not going to be easy this year..which bodes well for us!

I would also definatley include JOC & Hodgson in the squad, when the Force was injury ravaged JOC and then Hodgson really stood out!

I also think Coopers tackling cops unwaranted abuse! I agree at the begining of the season it was no good, but has improved dramatically of late. He stopped Nonu a few times on Fri and seemed to be all over the park. If you can watch that game again with emphasis on Coopers tackling have a butchers.I don’t believe it’s as bad as is being made out…

Also does anyone know if there will be Possibles v Probables games this year?

Ioane tells Deans to select entire Reds side

Temba – come on who are you trying to kid, we both know what a big deal it is that one of the semi’s and possibly the finals will be played in Soweto! To say they don’t know the rugby is on is the understatement of the year!

Any more pearls of wisdom?

Do we even dare to predict the final four?

Lots of strong opions on this debate, so I’ll throw a little more in the mix.

Now I’m not saying this has happened or hasn’t happened and before you ask for proof, let me state this is pure speculation.

SA is a third world country, and like any third world country, is rife with corruption. Hell you can pay your speeding fine on the side of the road before the paper work has been completed..

Bearing this in mind would it be such a far stretch of the imagination that JZ (Zuma) & Gordhan (Minister of Finance) tapped Hoskins on the shoulder and pointed out the massive amounts the government has just spent on all the new Stadiums for the Soccer WC. As well as the billions on the brand new KZN airport as well as the upgrade and refurbishment of the JHB airport & the Gautrain etc etc. All that spending has been SA’s stimulus package with the governmet pouring billions back into the economy. Post WC they are going to have to pay all that back and while hosting the second semi will be but a drop in the pond, in terms of revenue, doesn’t it all help?

Do we even dare to predict the final four?

Must say I like your magic wand…maybe the Reds could beat the Highlanders by 100+ and knock the Stormers out completely…Anyway back to reality..

At least the Dutchies won’t be playing at Loftus and a poll on Supersport already has all the inbred dutchmen split saying they will walk to Orlando Stadium if they have to/They can’t be arsed and will watch at home..

Do we even dare to predict the final four?

Didn’t realize that Marks and Legote had been reinstated. Still some good games to come.

Now if only the Sharks hadn’t gifted the Stormers that last try….

Do we even dare to predict the final four?

RR – good point there – that Barnes wasn’t even mentioned. Based on his performance this year though not that much a suprise although like Rocky he is hitting form at the pointy end…

Also agree Pocock (c) Genia (vc)

Genia next Wallabies skipper?

This is going to be a hard game, even though I’m a Reds supporter, I’d like to see the Tahs win this one because I can’t see the Brumbies beating the Crusaders in Christchurch.

Let's get physical, Waugh tells Waratahs

Agreed Dave, would love to see Coops at 10 – even his tackling has come along way since game 1 this season!

Cooper, Gits to fight it out for No.10 jersey

What I don’t get is why Sanzar, when they have the option, don’t go with a neutral ref?

Take last weekend for example, surely they must have forseen some uproar with putting a Saffa in charge of a Bulls game? Why not let the SA Ref preside over the Sharks v Stormers game and make it an all SA affair and then let Stu ref the Crusaders v Bulls game making him a neutral ref?

Super 14 refs need to be held accountable

De Villiers still rated New Zealand’s Super 14 sides, saying talent was more evenly spread around in New Zealand, whereas in South Africa the vast majority of internationals played for either the Stormers or the Bulls

Well they definatley don’t play for the Lions…

Super 14 no guide for internationals - de Villiers

Thought Stu had a good game in comparison to the clown Jonker! The Stormers were outplayed fair and square the Sharks were to pumped for the game. That was Smit’s game of the year and Rory was fantastic! Just a pity the Sharks let in that last try!

Stormers' semfinal hopes dealt blow by Sharks

Agreed – they’ll all makes mistakes from time to time but just over the last weekend Dickenson had agret game in the Stormers v Sharks game!

Thought the Crusaders were a bit hard done by as was evidenced by Stranskys commentating. There almost needs to be an umpire at the game who can pull the ref aside and set him straight, because lets face it, after the game it’s to late!!

Super 14 refs need to be held accountable

Genia is an absolute genius, really loving his play this year and his leadership cannot be questioned.

If he is made the Wallaby captain just hope it wouldn’t detract from his perfromance. Either way the game tonight is going to be a cracker!

He's a Genia but is he a Wallabies captain?

Gatesy – I think you’re after Total Rugby for the coverage from around the world?

As for the SA commentators Bobby Skinstad & Joel Stransky are rediculously biased especially if the Saffa side is losing. Darren Scott is not to bad though with Owen pretty good.

I must say I enjoy Marto and Kearnesey it doesn’t bother me that they are slightly biased, in whole they’re not the worst of them.

My father in law was recently over here (from SA, Sharks fan) and thought the commentators did a good job and enjoyed the Rugby Club. I agree though I did enjoy last years panel more though and the input from the Kiwi & Saffa commentators was great. Warren & TJ were great. Bring them back.

Some great comments as well with regards to them in suits WTF! Put them on a couch with beer!

Where are the quality local rugby shows?

Agree with you about the forwards, but not so sure about Fourie! Based on form in the S14 he should be playing for the Blues! Absolute dynamite in one game and doesn’t show up for the next?

IMO I think SA is peaking to soon and has to many old players when they meet the AB’s in the semi’s it will be a tough game but hoe ground advantage will win out, just like the Bulls at Loftus.

But all said and done we can muse on here till the cows come home, until the RWC kicks off it’s just pie on the wall!

Super 14 form suggests it's the Boks year

Thanks for that Sam, was curious about the other years.

Super 14 form suggests it's the Boks year

Agree with you there johnny-boy, I think the Brumbies will win this match but still won’t be able to get their bonus point even with Mortlock & G Smith back!

Big-ego Brumbies finally pulling together

While we’re on the subject of ref bashing – don’t forget it was the Sharks “complaint” that got Paul Marks demoted for his handling of the Tahs v Sharks game..

Everyone is in the same boat paddling up the same creek…

Is it time to say goodbye to the Crusaders?

Weeks is definatley out for Fri and it looks as though Van will be back with Braidy and Davis a good chance as well..
