Starting from a low bar though?

Five things: The Reds have flipped the script - and it promises to be rewarded at the Wallabies selection table

If it was continuing the same, fair enough, punt it. But private equity is paying off some of the debts and raising money to run a franchise in Vic.

Rebels' Super future hanging on creditors' Friday vote as Rugby Australia set to go against plan

Harder to et out than in the squad. I mean, really? Just pick the youngster in hot form. Pick him ahead of Warne, David, Stoinis or Wade.

T20 World Cup: Marsh named captain, Smith and Fraser-McGurk miss out

Seems like a good summary.

Just on Tom Wright – he has always been very quick, agile, clever, good hands, decent defender. The issues are trying to do too much or silly things, and some brain explosions. Remove those things from his game – ie play the odds a bit more and leave out the extra-curricular stuff – and he always had the potential to be very good.

Kellaway has always been a high IQ player, and can sniff out a try.

Five things: Aussie sides finally discover what it takes to compete against Kiwis, rookie outshines World Cup Wallaby

$2.8m to arrange a loan????

Rugby Australia announce $9.2m deficit, board member fails to be re-elected but coup falls over

Can we just pick the Blues on form (some allowance for previous years)?

Cleary at 7, Edwards at 1, Burton in. How is Tom Turbo going? Trell is brilliant when on, but seems unfit and disinterested right now.

Hynes states claim for Origin with perfect performance as blood-thirsty Sharks devour 'embarrassed' Raiders

I would open with head and JFM ahead of Warner.

Australia's brightest rising T20 star JMK may have to wait his turn for World Cup selection, despite already setting IPL alight

Nah. JFM and Head are must starters. Ditto Mitch Marsh, Inglis and Maxi.

Add Zampa and 3 quicks. Marsh and Maxi to share 5th bowler.

That leaves 2. Green and one other.

Ok I’ve just watched that about 6 times in a row, admittedly from the only angle shown.

Right shoulder hits. Left arm waving in air. Right arm looks down and cocked. Recoil looks like hit in chin.

Really not a good look from that angle. Are there others absolving him?

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

Not if the arms are level with or in front of the shoulder.

No way. It was borderline chin.

Some didn’t use the arms you mean?

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

I don’t think it was actually.

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

I thought it caught the chin or throat. It was very close. Arms were up but way behind the shoulder, like an afterthought.

And while it wasn’t penalty late, it was after the pass.

Not really what you want to see imho. It’s a shot on someone not expecting it.

You know he’s been penalised for some of them right?

And Finau. Send 2-3 players at him every time he does anything.

Yes you can’t have it both ways. If the Board shared the blame for Hamish’s decisions, then they also get the credit for Phil’s decisions.

'Definition of madness': Rugby reform must start with total cleanout of RA board - and this should happen next

OK maybe for him, but more as a general comment!

I’m not saying you are wrong – but it would be a big shift in culture to change that.

'Definition of madness': Rugby reform must start with total cleanout of RA board - and this should happen next

Is that necessary? If so, how?

Exactly. Highly offensive and uneducated comment from someone who claims to know better.

“Now apparently reporting the traffic”.

That single comment has set me against you and your group Russ. Straight middle aged Anglo men appointing straight middle aged Anglo men is one thing wrong with Aus rugby (and several other institutions).

That was a highly offensive gutter jab at a very qualified person. Why would you lower yourself to that, when you are all about transparency, accountability etc? You are accountable for making that comment.

You continue to talk very much in generalities. You are relying on getting good people in (assuming they are appointed) and letting them work out what needs to be done, I suppose.

“We propose the Member Unions reject the Nominations Committee recommendations and move a vote of No Confidence. This means a Special General meeting to formally spill the Board. At this meeting an interim Board with an interim Chairman would be installed”.

So you are suggesting the Member Unions vote to reject the model that lets them choose the Board, in preference for a model where they have much reduced say?

Fyi it’s Aaron Gordon.
Not sure of the surprise result between Denver and LA, it was a 4-0 sweep last year.

I skimmed through a bit, but I liked:

– Kalani Thomas, crackign game
– Jock Campbell
– Reds import props

Paisami overall good too.
