Love Rugby! Currently in SF Bay Area. Australian born WB's fan, but huge admirer of AB's & Boks and the game in general.

Splitting hairs, neither team has been good in recent years.

Five things we learnt: Why Cheika could be the man to resurrect Tahs, Thor is the new Quade, value of sevens

This comment is only true if AAA is unavailable / injured.

Problem is the don’t come back. Dempsey, Hansen, Monty, Morahan etc. Giteau and Mitchell definitely improved.

'Such an emotional guy': Why RA should let their biggest star leave for the sake of the Wallabies

Agree higher expectations. Surprised they are even interested considering his brittleness.

'Such an emotional guy': Why RA should let their biggest star leave for the sake of the Wallabies

He’d be welcome back on half the deal at most.

'Such an emotional guy': Why RA should let their biggest star leave for the sake of the Wallabies

Perhaps not but it’s hard to be the bloke getting paid the most when you aren’t performing. Paints a big target on your back. A reset or a massive drop in pay are the logical options.

They will also improve in Europe. TT will not get any better as a player playing SR Pacific.

They are putting out their regular rabble. No change this year.

McReight masterclass, Uru statement: Reds smash Rebels in Aussie Super Rugby derby

Send him OS to play in premier competitions and learn. He is bored in Australia and costs too much.

McReight masterclass, Uru statement: Reds smash Rebels in Aussie Super Rugby derby

Farce and the Rabble can’t win or be competitive even with wallabies. You are promoting taking those guys out but leaving these teams in the comp?? Makes no sense.

You know this is an Australian site right?

The Wrap: The two massive power shifts shaping Australian and New Zealand rugby

He is a solid super level winger, no better. Not sure he’d make a kiwi super team.

Rugby News: Petaia weighs up NRL, NFL options as Reds contract winds down, All Black confirms 'f--kwit' sledge

God no. He is a terrible decision maker. His kicking game is horrendous. Passing game also not great. Cmon Soap!

Sad to see this. I’ve worked 20 years now and I get it though – you see your employer throw dollars at hypothetical resources vs. proven performers they got cheap / early. You leave.

I’d have gone to France on a one year deal though and played the BIL. He was already one of the first on the team sheet with so much ahead of him. Now he will play domestic league and…….

Done deal: Wallabies star signs with NRL powerhouse in brutal reality check for RA at start of 'golden decade'

“how dare you mate…”

REPORT: Eddie Jones to quit Wallabies and join Japan as head coach

And Broke-o was his name-o

Exclusive: 'Seismic shift' as Waratahs to hand over keys to RA in boost to reform push - others to follow

Good post Don. Think you meant not bringing in a genuine 10 (we had three 9s). Also think you meant we needed a new tighthead after AAA and Tupou, but you might not have noticed is there isn’t anyone else. Once AAA went down we were one prop a away from a pool exit. Said it at the time!

WALLABIES REPORT CARD: 'F--k mate, what didn't go wrong?'- Few pass marks and an F for Eddie in Pool C disaster

Our good was a few phases, no tries against top tier teams. B at best of times E at others. D is about right.

WALLABIES REPORT CARD: 'F--k mate, what didn't go wrong?'- Few pass marks and an F for Eddie in Pool C disaster

Pone, Petaia, Leota & Uelese are made of glass with the top 2 inches missing. I wish I didn’t have to say this but it’s true.

Still haven’t seen a frame by frame of that masterpiece yet!

Hopefully that will stop him running at the line with his elbows up.

The Wrap: Wallabies scrape a win but the team, and the code, have entered Chinese water torture territory

They certainly hit reset, potentially losing the few remaining fans with this pathetic performance.

The Wrap: Wallabies scrape a win but the team, and the code, have entered Chinese water torture territory

Let’s be real, none of these issues will be addressed in time to flood the team with talent and structure to compete with Lions in 25 and next home world cup in 27.

An extreme short term policy would be to send our best to Europe to experience higher standards and knock out rugby at quality institutions. Send Bell, Tupou, Frost, entire starting back row plus Harry Wilson, Tate, Lonergan, Ikitau, Mark Nawa and more.

Drop back to a domestic comp that won’t admittedly house our top talent and get the house in order. It’ll have dumb blokes like Petaia, Pone and Leota who will star. A 33 man Lions squad needs to have 20 guys playing year round world class levels of rugby, plus a smattering of the best up and coming talent.

Even better go into a deal with League where their players can go on short term sabbatical in the same way a 15s player might play 7s at the Olympics.

The Wrap: Wallabies scrape a win but the team, and the code, have entered Chinese water torture territory

Agree totally. It’s a dumb side. Dumb penalties and errors across most players.

'I watched the whole game, mate. Incredibly depressing': How the Wallabies moved on from their horror night in Lyon

But you ignore the press and energy with making a QF. Aussies follow winners. Pool was relatively easy and we didn’t get it done. Momentum lost. Aussie public will care in a few years just because it’s at home? Doubt it, most don’t know what RU actually is.
