Another Clarkson apprentice- I’ve lost count of how many have gone on to senior gigs including premiership coaches.

Congrats to Adam.

'Want them thinking they can make the top four': New Richmond coach Yze urges Tigers to dare to dream

A Dee-nasty destined to remain unfulfilled.

Finals Fix: How Melbourne killed their season with the butcher job to end all butcher jobs

They’ve always been soft on Geelong…. 😛

UPDATE: Maynard sent straight to Tribunal over Brayshaw collision as AFL steps in

Time for Michael Christian and the Tribunal to go. The consistency of decisions has been on the slide not improving.

Lots of shockers this year but the Sicily suspension was the last straw for me.

UPDATE: Maynard sent straight to Tribunal over Brayshaw collision as AFL steps in

Haha. Join the queue but yes, he’d take the Pies over the top 😛

Footy Fix: Jack Ginnivan just sealed a finals spot - and he might be the Pies' September secret weapon

Another classic 👍

Footy Fix: Jack Ginnivan just sealed a finals spot - and he might be the Pies' September secret weapon

Is it just me or does Ginnivan look like a cross between a young Leonardo DiCaprio and bad guy gang leader Luther from the 1979 classic, The Warriors?

Footy Fix: Jack Ginnivan just sealed a finals spot - and he might be the Pies' September secret weapon

Every team needs a bit of cream on the cake and Ginnivan fits the bill but IMHO the Pies desperately need another KPF to really contend confidently.

Great to see the Bombers form slump is substantively real 😉

Goodwin talking absolute trash – his best mid was pantsed which is what Finn Maginness does supremely well.

Get a clue….

AFL News: Crows captain's incredible classy response to goal controversy, 'broken' Dogs savaged

Fair enough but England did engage in a fair bit of sh#thousery throughout the game which intimidated both the Matildas and the ref who was too inconsistent in dealing with it over the 90 mins.

It is all part of tournament football and most WC winners display the same attributes. English fans should feel confident going into the final.

Sam missile strikes with World Cup worldie but Matildas bow out as Lionesses roar into Final

Outplayed and outgunned in the end.

Defensively the Matildas looked brittle tonight particularly Carpenter who had a poor tournament and probably shouldn’t have started.

A lack of squad rotations also came home to roost tonight when the energy levels dropped after Kerr’s equalizer.

Overall the team was mighty in reaching a WC semi.

Sam missile strikes with World Cup worldie but Matildas bow out as Lionesses roar into Final

Hmmm…..Swans and Dons winning.

Results elsewhere will break your heart I reckon, Doc.

😛

Footy Fix: No Daicos, no Moore... no better win for Fly's mighty Pies

Selling hope but it sounds less convincing by the week.

Can’t see finals for the Cats this season.

Footy Fix: No Daicos, no Moore... no better win for Fly's mighty Pies

Go Pies!

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

Non Serviam: Hawks still need some key pieces forward and back but they will now start to appeal to some FA’s who previously wouldn’t have considered them.

Sam Mitchell’s previous connection with the Weagles may also see some interesting trade maneuvers this off season. Ryan and Tom Barrass would be good and Ricciardi from the Giants also being discussed under FA.

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

The thing that stood out for me yesterday was that Sam Mitchell has finally brushed out the final few remnants of the Clarko era – these are his players (some rescued by him from the Box Hill ‘scrap heap’) and his game plan.

The recruiting on the sniff of many long draft picks and the MSD (Sicily, Lewis, Worpel, Newcombe, Ryan etc) has been excellent with only Grainger-Barass to deliver on his potential.

Seeing Tom Mitchell struggle yesterday franked the decision to move him on while Worpel continues to play career best footy given the opportunity.

I wish Clarkson the best but the decision to move on from him is proving a watershed moment in the history of the HFC. Unfortunately Jeff Kennett will claim it as his parting legacy to the club and maybe, I hate to say, it’s fair enough that he does… 😱

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

Correct, Roger.

Just like a few other clubs like yours since the mid 90’s.

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

Everyone loves an underdog I guess….

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

Definitely. Will have learnt a lot today from another level of attention.

Mind you I heard he got home and Finn Maginness opened the front door for him 😂

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

Great read, Tim.

The Weddle trade up in last year’s draft will have the Swans regretting it for the next decade or so IMHO.

As for Will Day, he looks like a young James Hird to me.

Go Hawkers.

Footy Fix: If you're not terrified about your team facing the Hawks yet... you should be

A total champ for both the Hawks and Sydney. It never quite sat well with me how he left Hawthorn particularly after the AFL awarded derisory compo (pick 19) for a generational player but we went to have more success without him so all good I guess.

I was at York Park for his 13 goal masterclass although I missed the last one as my NM mates threatened to make me walk back to Hobart if I didn’t leave before the final siren. Wonderful memories.

Farewell to Buddy, the greatest player of the 21st century and the game's most awe-inspiring entertainer

The Dons kick marked themselves to death.

Obviously scarred from their Geelong mauling they lost all dare after qtr time.

Just as Carlton turn a corner, the Dons go down a blind alley. When will it end for these ‘big two’ Vic clubs?? Karma carries a very big stick it seems.

Footy Fix: 136 marks for seven goals - desperately dour Dons just bored their season to death

Moore took a while to fulfill his potential but his past 2 to 3 years have been stellar.

Footy Fix: Forget Darcy Moore - THIS is the real star of Collingwood's electric back six

What I see is a cohesive defensive unit which is a result of the sum of its parts.

Quaynor is integral but if you were picking a Pies defender to get to your club it would be Moore every time.

Footy Fix: Forget Darcy Moore - THIS is the real star of Collingwood's electric back six

lol

Six Points: Cram the Crows condescending, Bucks, Swans weren't that good, and the rule change AFL must make
