Thanks Geoff.
Incredibly painful for those guys over there and the Wallaby fans all over the world.

This is quite a blow to SH/ Oceania rugby, while money would help, it’s rugby structure and tge right business guidance that is needed now to save and lift Australian rugby.

The Wrap: With Wallabies done and dusted in 15 miserable days, who do we trust to take Australian rugby forward?

Would Paps work as a number 8 with Cane and Frizell?? Heard he played his younger years there.

SPIRO ZAVOS: Skelton a force of nature, All Blacks' strategic error that has put their World Cup in peril

I wonder how many we have lost to Basketball in the last 5-8 years, especially for locks and loosies.

SPIRO ZAVOS: Skelton a force of nature, All Blacks' strategic error that has put their World Cup in peril

Cheers Spiro.
Just wondering roarers thoughts on Mo’unga not taking control of the game and BB having to take control as opposed to BB taking over by force???

Completely agree with the No8 situation, Sotutu never transitioned into a dominant 8 like he is at SR, Cullen had injury problems, there was a Boshier that was doing OK but he left.
Frizell could have got in there at 8 if he didn’t gave his issues in 20/21.

SPIRO ZAVOS: Skelton a force of nature, All Blacks' strategic error that has put their World Cup in peril

Cheers Geoff for the Wrap, ive enjoyed the first round of games ive watched, only going to get better.

I know the ABs like the pace, but if they slowed down abit, could eliminate those mistakes when pressure has been built.

She’s pretty brutal from NZ fans at the moment, I do wonder if they’ll even jump on the wagon if they make the QF or SF.

The Wrap: Tupou coup looks more profound by the day, Christie vitriol out of order, Argies and Scots a shambles

Thanks Mal for the details, hard to get an idea of what’s going on, we will have to wait for the doco or book I reckon!! Lol

I thought we had it sorted with the kicking game until the 60th minute, overall the kicking was good, there were bad ones from BB, Mo’unga and Jordan, but there were over 40 kicks so not every kick is going to be perfect.

It was the last 10 – 15 that they couldn’t change the plan to gain points, there were times where they could have pick and go up the middle, with plenty of support, but kept going wide and kept the kicking, hoping for a turn over.

'Why did they kick it all the time?' - the All Blacks tactic that failed them in Stade de France

West, do you think the bench coming on altered our structure, rhythm? We had, Christie, Havili, Jacobson come on around 60 mins.

Allez, Allez! All Blacks suffer first RWC pool loss as France make huge statement, Fozzie remains upbeat

Cheers Geoff, when i woke to Cane being out, the shuffle around, too many key changes in 4or 5 days, expectations changed.
Thought the 1st half was decent, ran the French tired, but the 2nd when they tightened on us, kinda exposed the changes, who we were missing.
Interested in your thoughts on Reiko and ALB, thought Reiko was better both Def and Attack?? thought things broke down a bit with ALB off.

Lift off! World Cup opener is just the rocket boost to hook in all of France

It’s just hard when you look at the first SA game this year, even if the SAs were under done, where did that start come from?? The composure to finish it out, even to take the win over Oz.
Is that being saved for the QF?

REACTION: 'Failing upwards' - Pelters for Foz after new all-time low, Ardie says 'we've still got a war to win'

People still living with the expectation on 8- 15 years ago. Things have changed, support them in the tough times and the good.
We go on about consistency in selection, which we get for 10 or so games, then those guys get injured and the replacements are expected to be better without playing.
While Fozzie is in charge, he’s still assisted by assistants who have say on how they can use players.
At least there’s still a path to the QFs.

REACTION: 'Failing upwards' - Pelters for Foz after new all-time low, Ardie says 'we've still got a war to win'

I thought the 1st half was good from us, French saw the opportunity in the 2nd half in tight with our loose trio playing.
It’s the team we had to play, gutted we lost, but its building to Italy and to the QF.

Allez, Allez! All Blacks suffer first RWC pool loss as France make huge statement, Fozzie remains upbeat

Well it’s all we can do I guess. Paps or Savea will have to stick with Cane or we won’t stand a chance like last time.

Gutted for Narawa, will be interesting if they go for a replacement wing and have a plan for so many or if a loosie or lock comes in.
ALB, time for you to shine and help Ioane there. I can see Ioane doing crash balls and ALB the distribution moves.

RWC Teams: Wallabies star axed, Hansen misses Ireland squad, England spring two surprises

Thanks Spiro!
Great read, as a ABs supporter, it’s one game at a time for us.
This cup is going to be a close one and some big teams will lose in the pool games.

SPIRO ZAVOS: The best team in the tournament, not necessarily the best team, will win the 2023 RWC

Thanks JD
Crazy draw it’s ended up with the top 4 on one side of the QFs.
While SA have prepared for this from 2018 there going to be up for it and tough to beat. Their pool is a tough one though, Scotland will be priming for an upset on both SA and Ireland.
These QFs games could really go either way of the 4 that get through.
Different this time to with the bye week, teams won’t be as depleted after a tough pool.

Last chance for NZ's Rennie generation, Boks' edge of experience: Which teams are peaking on 'strong side' of the draw

Yes Italy is a bit of a worry for us now.
Yep we don’t have anyone really to fill Frizell, I have seen Papalii play at 8 and can be a good line out option if needed, but its getting round the Savea factor.

I like it how the 3rd teir 9-12 teams have a very good chance of an upset against a 2nd XV from the top 2 teams in each pool.

A far from golden generation of forwards has left the All Blacks badly exposed

Thanks JD.
Been a crazy 4 years to build to this point, there’s been a crazy amount of interruptions(covid), a coach having to fight for his job with wins instead of developing players, injuries, that have led to so many players getting a shot and not working out and reduced amount of tests.
Key players missing time ALB, Moody, Blackadder, Cane, Frizell, Mo’unga, Goodhue.
The persistent playing of Savea at 8, probably need 4 jumpers against the NH and SA at the moment.
After the France game, the young guys will have time to come of age during pool play, primed and ready to support the older guys for the QF.

A far from golden generation of forwards has left the All Blacks badly exposed

I think it’s great for PI nations especially, getting more players into top flight rugby around the world, getting internationals from other teams back.
As we have seen in warm ups, this cup and the next, it’s going to be a risk playing a 2nd 15.

'Not good enough': England in disarray as Fiji pull off historic win to emerge as World Cup's darkest horse

Cheers Highlander, its a difficult game to analyze with the Red, I believe that the top six teams should be able to win over one with it more then half a game.

Just watched it again, SA used there forwards well for there tries and capitalized on the ABs mistakes well for the other tries.
15v14 for 53 mins it was 28-7
15-15 for 27 mins it was 7-0

Not sure what the ABs plan was, they did keep it simple, not too much viaration in attack, limited kicks and lots of playing off 9, it could be that the dropsies didn’t let them build the attack they wanted, but I thought alot of players were stand offish, toned it down, more then expected, maybe the red card changed things and they just wanted to get through safely.
Missed Frizell big time, will need him and retallick for the QF,

Really would like ALB at centre and Ioane on the wing, just another specialist positional player starting, we have 5 outside backs starting!!

Bring on France, lets get it started!!!

ANALYSIS: 'Time to make the tough call' - South Africa raised the stakes, and the All Blacks folded

Can’t wait for the France game!!!

'It stings, it hurts ... we got exposed': All Blacks alarm bells ringing after Springboks dish out worst EVER defeat

Yep definitely far more attention paid this year to there teams. Hard to tell on some of the games play in the NH summer series with teams changed often. But some good rugby being played.
Ireland will have tough run out of there pool into the QF.
ABs and FRA are a certain for QF and the ABs will take it game by game.
The other 3 pools could potentially have some upsets, I like Scotland, Japan, Fiji and Georgia chances for an upset this year.

Kiwi View: All Blacks fans finally tuning in to RWC threats - should they pay more attention to a dark horse in blue?

Thanks Jamie, great read.
Can’t wait for it to kick off, I think it’ll be good to see France first up and see where we are at to get ready for Ireland or SA in the quarters.
On review, it’s a work load for the loosies isn’t it.
Roigard has to be the bench half doesn’t he?
With the extra wing in the squad, I don’t think we will see Ioane at 11 and ALB at 13.

Kiwi View: This All Black team can win the World Cup but is it better than 2019?

Great looking squad, Congratulations to the guys that made it.
Great gesture for the Hawkes Bay and East Coast to spend time there.

Great blend of experience and youth.

On the team split, I didn’t realize about the rest between games, thats quite a change. Maybe a couple games will be high tempo, using the outsides with the extra wings.

All Blacks CONFIRMED: Fozzie's HUGE Rugby World Cup gamble, Retallick to miss France opener

Yep good for those guts to get a run I feel.
Good run for ALB and Whitelock, two that are pushing for starting spots.

Finau has a big future, liked McLeods contribution.
It’s not going happen but they almost need to take a 10 like Cameron, J Ioane, Burke instead of Dmac.

Mission accomplished: Foster 'stoked' with lessons learned and back ups tuned - but injury concerns raised

While I can understand where he’s coming from, there’s got to be some point to give the fringe guys ago, players could still get injured in training, against Oz or SA before France. They have to be ready or given a shot.
I also think this team has been well tested over the last few years and you have three coaches that have failed and succeeded in tournaments, have experience of what to do and what not to do.

'Not the time to experiment': Ex-skipper's warning to fall on deaf ears as All Blacks tipped to make mass changes

Nice, I like it, going to secure the Bled with a nice settled team.
