I love this idea, and think fans would relish the chance to see their new draftees run around in the team colours.

I love the NBA summer league, it’s a fun event.. and definitely a great opportunity for young players.

The missing link in the AFL’s quest to become a year-round sport

I think a little more journalistic instinct is welcome, I stopped watching the over-scripted un-funny nonsense in 2014, but might switch back on.

The Footy Show at it’s best was a good mix of football journalism and off the cuff footy-related humour.

If it dies, it dies – but I think this is a good move.

Will Brayshaw's departure mean the end of The Footy Show?

So exciting to see him up and about!

Awesome news for Melanoma sufferers as well, break-through treatments in that area are inconceivably amazing…

Jarryd Roughead gets the green light for AFL training return

I think that the players definitely deserve a percentage of the profits…

I understand that people compare their salaries to that of AFL players and think “What are they whinging for?”, however, when you look at AFL in comparison to the greater professional sporting industry, their pay is a sparrow-fart in a methane factory.

They are the lifeblood of the game and put their bodies on the line. They are in football for such a short time when you compare it to a full life, but the ramifications on a player’s body and mind can effect them until the day they die. They deserve fair and equitable remuneration for this, without that devotion, we would not have such an exciting, jaw-dropping game.

Give them the cash, I say!

AFL players strike a possibility in preseason says Dangerfield

She is an absolute beast in the cage and she’s unapologetic for her skill and dominance.

I’m not sure she has transformed the UFC, I think that she is another aspect of an ever-evolving competition, however, I do agree that she is certainly providing a change in viewer demographics.

I’m an MMA fan all round, I have been since being introduced to an Ultimate Fighter series in 2009… I love combat sports and this is by far the most electric and exciting. She is an eccentric, high-level athlete that brings more depth to the sport. Well done on celebrating her prowess.

I do think she could take it to some of the men, Bones might be a bit ambitious… he’s got a bit of reach on her. Ha.

I love this, your writing placed me smack bang in the middle of Vic Park, I’m unsure if I should thank you for that or not…

An ode to suburban deprivation: Victoria Park

I have never met Adam Goodes, I don’t claim that I have.

I take no issue with his pride in his culture and commend him for his work with Aboriginal kids and communities. His respect for his history and his desire that it is not lost makes him a wonderful role mode… someone the Aborigibal people can identify with. Someone that all Australians can admire.

My issues are:
1. As a provocative personality, he is trying to push constitutional change without taking the time to fully understand the effect this could have on the welfare and support of Aboriginal communities. His language is deliberately polarising when discussing this and I don’t feel it is the best approach to equality OR change.

2. As a footballer he could choose inclusive language and actions, but he chooses to be challenging and contentious instead.
He could have chosen to perform the war cry towards the Sydney fans and create a celebratory news story and perhaps start a trend… instead he decided to direct it to opposition supporters which has caused a diverse and devisive response.

I’m not sure whether the decision to direct his cry towards the boundary where Carlton fans were was conscious or unconscious, but it highlights a poor choice from someone who expounded that people need to be careful of their actions in his Australian of the Year speech… especially considering that he has been dominating football news all week.

I have found in researching his comments that he has anger about the plight of his minority community within the greater Aus community. I’m not saying that that anger isn’t valid, but I honestly think it’s detrimental to his own cause.

He is going to be an influential personality in the discussion, challenging racism is not a bad thing, it’s a great thing… I just don’t think he goes about it in the right way.

In the end my main point is that I find the cavalier accusation of racism amongst the supporters who were booing Adam is out of line and everyone in the community has a responsibility to not immediately jump to conclusions and direct unwarranted hate and derision towards them.

Adam Goodes a provocative figure in Australian sport

I’ve gotta say, the tone of this article rubs me the wrong way.

I respect that you’re trying to convey your opinion in an engaging way, but you lost me with excuse number four. To decry racism by engaging in narrow-minded stereotyping is lazy and detrimental to the point you are trying to make.

Give me some facts, statistics on racism in AFL fans, or even a statement from someone in the crowd who heard racial slurs being shouted at him and I’m on your bandwagon. Evidence, my friend, is better than satire… unless that satire is very, very funny. Yours unfortunately misses the mark.

The idiot's guide to booing Adam Goodes

Yes. Well played.
