We have also signed Hame Sele. He is an excellent recruitment. If we can add AFB and Helum Luki we will have a top 4 pack. A front row rotation of AFB, Hame Sele, Blake Lawrie and Frank Molo is formidable. Sua, Luki and De Belin complete the back row. Throw in the Couchmans and we look good up front. Tom Deardon at half. Perhaps Ben Hunt will be more open to playing hooker in this pack. If not, perhaps we can swap him for Mo Fotuaika plus Kieran Foran.

Yep, I would swap Addo Carr for Matterson, but there is no way in the world I would swap Matterson for Addo Carr. The Dragons should give the Eels a call and see if they can get Matterson in red and white. We can swap them Suli, or Feagai in return, or both!

It’s crazy that you are correct. The Dragons brand should be the premier sporting brand in Australia, but atm it is in the gutter, thanks to inept management for the last 13 years.

If I was Bruce Gordon, it would be a matter of pride for me. I would not want to be associated with a club coming last or contending for the spoon, especially when it is so easy to change that situation. He only needs to bring in Deardon and Joey Manu, a couple of middles, maybe Terrell May and Butcher, and a couple of backs, and it is game on for the Dragons.

He should stay. He’d be mad to leave. There isn’t much difference between 850 and 1.1, after the agents commission and tax, cost of moving, stamp duty, etc.

Blake Lawrie was the deserved winner. It would have been ridiculous had Hunt received the award. Hunt had a very ordinary year overall for the Dragons. He is a test player when he wants to be, but that is only when he is playing rep footy. For the Dragons, he has not delivered in any way, shape or form. I definitely want the Dragons to flick Ben Hunt and bring in Tom Deardon.

(1) Good to see Blake Lawrie win the best player award for 2022. Well deserved. He is fearless. (2) We must not let Sua leave, but it looks like he will if the media is a good guide. LOL. (3) Suli is a major weakness defensively. I agree with you Tony, he should be on the wing or not there at all. I’d be inclined to let him go.

I have made the point before and I make it again. I’m still waiting for Bruce Gordon to do something positive and bring the players to the club that are needed. Otherwise, what use is he. It is why the Roosters, Rabbits, and Storm are successful. It is the third party deals introduced by board members and insiders like Politis, Crowe and Tripp. If Bruce Gordon is not going to do that for us, I’m confident I speak for all Dragons supporters when I say, Bruce, please go away and leave us alone. Please sell your stake to someone who will give a sheet.

I’m 100% confident that 98% of supporters agree about Sloan. He has the potential to be a superstar, to be the Australian full back, and we want him to realise his potential here at the Dragons, not somewhere else. He is the one player we must not let go. Supporters have lost neither patience nor hope. I know Mal agrees 100%. He sees Sloan.

Tony, who is this Bruce Gordon? How dare he buy half our club and then sheet on it by sitting on his rs and doing nothing? He owes it to the club and supporters to put into his pocket and bring Tom Deardon, Joey Manu and some angry middles to the club. Otherwise, what good is he? If he is going to be a happy loser he should pees of. The Dragons are winners. The current situation is an abomination. But yes, I’m optimistic Flanno is one big step in the right direction, at last.

If Doust had given Bennett the contract he wanted, we would have won 3 or 4 premierships. In 2010, the distance between the Dragons and the rest of the field was significant. The way Darius was creating 3 on 2 plays was incredible. There were no defensive structures that could handle it at the time.

So much has been disappointing about the Dragons since 2010. But keep the faith Tony. I rate Flanno. He can coach. He inspires his players and he will be able to recruit, unlike the last few coaches we have had. Players respect him. For Dragons supporters he is the ideal man to come in at this stage. I’m hopeful. It was a very good move bringing Sele home. More will follow. Sloan is a good young man. He is exactly the sort of person we want at our club. I’m backing him to fix his defensive weaknesses and become the superstar he has the potential to be.

The way Lomax has been going, he might kill it at fullback. Perhaps in that event he will stay put and see out his contract. Must admit, I was surprised to hear both Lawrie and Ravalawa are on the chopping block for this week. Didn’t see that coming at all.
