I stated before the match and that has be qualified last night ,Paul Green is the loose end . QRL must have been desperate to appoint him . His best chance is to coach school boy footy on basic skills

i doubt if any of these players would be interested in coming to a deads*#%! club like the Broncos. They would be a better chance in the new expansion club in Brisbane. The Broncos are going to be an also ran club for a long time yet

I feel you have the right line and constructive thoughts and i’m repeating my ideas for the last couple of years regarding the roster and the so called administration . The admin needs a cleanout first so hopefully the new CEO will have some influence there.
There are a couple more names to let go in my book and those choices would cause some ire and unfortunately i think your selections are a dream team not discounting their value but some would never come to the Broncos and by the time they settled some would need to move away or on but sound positive calculations anyway. Keep it coming
A Red Hill rebuild to save the Broncos
Wake up KEVVIE , Milford is past it , all facets of his game are poor and failing . Hasn’t played a decent game since 2015 GF. The Broncos administration should have moved him on a few years ago and considering the state of play recently the administration should follow him out the door. There are another 6 in that roster that need the boot too and the ability of some young bucks is being hampered and screwed up and preventing their evolvement . What a waste of talent.I rest my case.

My feelings are for Reynolds by far, a better half than both in this discussion. As a Qld supporter the likes of Cherry-Evans and Hunt are the worst rep selections in both SOO and the Kangaroos, but of course who else comes into contention and who will be considered in the future?

Hi Ad-O , Not difficult to agree with your sentiments regarding the Broncos and from my point of view as a retired business owner the problem begins at the top. Been pretty lousy since Bruno Cullen left and the new CEO has his job cut out for him . Unfortunately there are a number of others that need to line up at Centrelink and some severe changes in policies to regain the confidence of the public, especially considering the comparison with the AFL support in Brisbane and it’s all about money and pockets

Crow, i don’t believe you ! i can name a half dozen in the Broncos roster who should NOT be there starting with Milford who hasn’t played a decent game since the GF LOSS 2015. The Broncos are a group of individuals , some doing their singular best under the circumstances . Kevvie has a gigantic job just to make this into a team . Fifita is a great player but right now not as good as he was playing with the Broncos. Not much light on the horizon for the Broncos this year but the cleanout needs to start at the top that is administration

Bye bye for Milford , Croft, TPJ, Alex Glenn [ a year too many, great player and team man ] Lodge , Haas – Klemmer and Tino have sorted him out and he will be an also ran, Oates – too many injuries + a couple more from the roster . And then there’s the administration barr the new CEO

The exaggerated personal talent of some of the Broncos’ roster excites the hope of exceptional performances and results. Realistically , some names just aren’t going to make it
M Lodge,P Carrigan – the best they will ever be. Haas and TPJ are bye bye s . Milford was finished in 2015 not fit and slowing more each season. All due respect Alex G , a fabulous player and team man to be admired but maybe this year a year too long. No player gets faster or develops following injuries maybe except Ray Price . This group will retard the evolvement to a better level and creates a phycology demand for individual determination rather than team cohesion . What a challenge for Kevvie . Broncos 14 or 15

2 million residents doesn’t equate to a champion team or a champion fan base. There are many other interests aside from rugby league and the Broncos in South East Qld. Broncos have a long way to go and it seems their goal will be to avoid a back to back Wooden Spoon title because that’s all they have at the moment

My feelings are for a REDCLIFFE association from this discussion , purely from fan support and financial success. They will get 10,000 at the home game every day and if that’s the platform for success at REDCLIFFE then let it be. The assumption that the Broncos command Brisbane support from the general population is incorrect , 30,000 on a good day from a population of 1.5 million isn’t real flash especially considering the ALF LIONS are doing much better % wise
Talent is a big problem, without a main stream special roster a la Melbourne Storm , a new franchise would struggle to even make the 8. Having said that REDCLIFFE will always get crowd support , win lose or draw and to some degree losses from the Broncos. If REDCLIFFE admin can control their enterprise and not be swayed by the big money want be executives as in the Broncos, they’ve got it all going for them. Away from this avenue i suggest – forget it!!!

Good article Barry, being a Qlder of course i don’t agree but there is still a lot of dead wood in the Broncos roster, led by Milford, not fit and 2 meters slower last year . Sorry for the Saints ,definite Spoon possibility what with Hunt and Bird and the loss of Frizzell
If Holbrook and McGuire can make positive progress with their rosters [ 2020 ] surely we can expect some activity from the Bronco organisation but of course there needs to be a cleanout in the upper administration to complete the resurgence . Will be an interesting observation of the 3 Qld sides this year centred around the coaches more so

Rose coloured glasses Louis, Bird is a good match for Hunt ( likely to spill the drinks) . Good thing they aren’t at the Broncos. Bird got his reputation from schoolboy days and only got into the Broncos thru Bennett. Tamou is insignificant, has been overrated since Cowboy days and was never the standard for the Australian Team.Plenty of talent around superior in the forward pool. I agree with all ratings except one Cherry-Evans. I see him as the poorest player for Qld considering the standard expected from his reputation . 3-4 would be fair and this credential creeps into his game every so often. We need another type of Cronk / Keary player in the future beside Munster.
