The All Blacks need you to be better hence my annoyance. I don’t want to be dragged down to an unacceptable level.
I remember the circus’s performers north of Wellington in Waikanae being livid under the Cheika reign. “Circus performers” “clowns.” They were hard trainers and their reputation was being pulled down by the Wallabies. I like Quade Cooper but I can’t imagine him handling the taunts from the dwarfs. They can be quite mean with a nasty bite on ‘em.
Who would have thought the AB’s might win this?! A mighty front row. An awesome 3,4 and backup. A big 6 and 12, Schmidt and it all looks different. It will be sad to see Schmidt go.
AB’s defence was sublime. Only Barnsies kept Ireland in that match. In that last 37 phase there was a forward pass, a neck roll, a Savea steal penalty and a knock on. When the AB’s went up to 13, Barnies looked to try and reel it in. How innocuous was the Frizell penalty off the kickoff? I’m unsure how Barnies feels about SA? He might be the finals ref. God!

Barnsies ‘big moment’ was around the 63 minute mark – he missed the neck roll, followed by a clear turn over from LF, but AB’s pinged for not rolling away. Whitlock clearly rolled fast and was shifted by an Ireland player . A clear, good turnover penalty for the AB’s, but Barnsies gives the penalty to Ireland …then LO then penalty try with yellow. Barnes finger prints all over it. I find the dude corrupt ! But we won!! Sweet 😁 😊 👍

We will find out early on but the All Black scrum should be a weapon. Easy points could come from it. The line-out too. The Boks destroyed them in both, which the All Blacks know all about!

Spot on man. Especially when the man taken out is where the channel for the break originates from (the Scotland one was clear and the TMO needs to review it). Cane has to lead, shine and make this his moment. He only needs 50 minutes. Yes protest these moments. Same with the slow down. When Scotland came back and momentum was building and Irish player went down. I don’t like it at all.

Undoubtedly they were fluent and multi- faceted and Sexton was playing like a NRL star halfback. There was obstruction on one try. Just observing the whole picture, cuz 🙂 😊 👍

Awesome team. Certainly fresh. Telea is not a big loss as the inform damaging Fainga’anuku enters. I doubt Foster would have had the balls to put him on the bench. Ideally Telea starting with Fainga’anuku entering at the 45 min mark with Roigard at 55. Foster is always slow moving with his bench. The tight five with replacements look good huh?!
Nervous as. I still believe the AB’s can take this. I’m backing they will. Frizell will be pumped. I’d almost die for this win. I’m sure the AB’s feel the same. Ha it doesn’t feel like “it’s just a game”. If they stay in that zone and keep the focus they will win.

One of those tries was definitely an obstruction and the dummy runner took the man out, and created the gap.

I believe we will win. It’s the very first time ever the All Blacks go into a RWC game as underdogs. The occasion is bigger for Ireland. The pressure is immense. I feel the All Blacks will do what other teams have done to them in knock out RWC matches. Ryan and Schmidt will astutely make the plans. Ireland were awesome against Scotland but I wonder if the analysis will bring them down. Their bench looked poor. Without Sexton they looked lost. SA monstered their line out and scrum. Frizzel is back J Barrett and hopefully LF is there and gets on early. AB’s are the only team that can destroy a team in 20 minutes.
I hope it’s a southern hemisphere ref. We lose 12 points if it’s Barnies.

Schmidt is the key. I’m unsure where Cane fits. Personally I’d have Savea as captain and Whitelock as back up. The All Blacks have the better prep physically and mentally. They have to take it and restore their mana. Go deep without the ego, deeply at one with playing for Aotearoa and the All Blacks will win. 👍 😊 😱 🥊

Personally I would change the interchange rule and make it three changes only, and make the defence line go back 5 metres. It would open up the game and display more skill.

It’s been too drawn out. It needs be quicker. That way it tests the strategy and depth of a squad. Then Ireland and SA take fake injury breaks. It’s getting too close to gridiron! A Tier 2 comp played at the same time. A relegation/promotion and speed the comp and game up. These easy games aren’t the best huh?

What it shows to me is the AB’s can tear anyone apart in 20 minutes. They can be inconsistent. With positions like 6 and 12 and starting props the next in line is real downgrade especially 6 and 12. The AB’s need them healthy. Without J Barrett and Frizell the dynamics change too much. On their day they can beat anyone. If Ireland get shunted in the scrum and loose in the LO the All Blacks will take them down. If Ireland get parity in the set piece then they’ll be favourites but only by small margins. I feel the All Blacks can get them at set piece, and take the game.

Yeah probably eh. Barnsies and his English mates really helped Ireland. He was astute with the scrum as Ireland tried to cheet. But some major calls like the LF turnover ruled illegal was a terrible call, this followed the penalty try. I just cant see Barnies doing that to Ireland. Four infringements on the 37 phases was awful. Then there was the accidental offside, “off Black, off black”. No Barnsies. The Reiko kick off penalty was Barnsies just looking for something.,I just find him biased. I hope he is less inclined with SA. Two southern teams so it should be fair…one would hope. The All Blacks are now slight favourites though 50/50 to others. The All Blacks do get an extra rest day. All assuming they get through. England could pull something off with some home town TMO’s
