I believe we will win. It’s the very first time ever the All Blacks go into a RWC game as underdogs. The occasion is bigger for Ireland. The pressure is immense. I feel the All Blacks will do what other teams have done to them in knock out RWC matches. Ryan and Schmidt will astutely make the plans. Ireland were awesome against Scotland but I wonder if the analysis will bring them down. Their bench looked poor. Without Sexton they looked lost. SA monstered their line out and scrum. Frizzel is back J Barrett and hopefully LF is there and gets on early. AB’s are the only team that can destroy a team in 20 minutes.
I hope it’s a southern hemisphere ref. We lose 12 points if it’s Barnies.

Schmidt is the key. I’m unsure where Cane fits. Personally I’d have Savea as captain and Whitelock as back up. The All Blacks have the better prep physically and mentally. They have to take it and restore their mana. Go deep without the ego, deeply at one with playing for Aotearoa and the All Blacks will win. 👍 😊 😱 🥊

Personally I would change the interchange rule and make it three changes only, and make the defence line go back 5 metres. It would open up the game and display more skill.

It’s been too drawn out. It needs be quicker. That way it tests the strategy and depth of a squad. Then Ireland and SA take fake injury breaks. It’s getting too close to gridiron! A Tier 2 comp played at the same time. A relegation/promotion and speed the comp and game up. These easy games aren’t the best huh?

What it shows to me is the AB’s can tear anyone apart in 20 minutes. They can be inconsistent. With positions like 6 and 12 and starting props the next in line is real downgrade especially 6 and 12. The AB’s need them healthy. Without J Barrett and Frizell the dynamics change too much. On their day they can beat anyone. If Ireland get shunted in the scrum and loose in the LO the All Blacks will take them down. If Ireland get parity in the set piece then they’ll be favourites but only by small margins. I feel the All Blacks can get them at set piece, and take the game.

I slept in and missed the beginning, damz it. I recently got invited to a Hansen and Gretel play, and that seemed pretty weird after the Steve Hansen saga. I was perusing a rare cassette tape but my plans were interrupted.
But I did see the second half and man they were good! The scrum was lethal. If they play Ireland, their LO and scrum will be targeted. Without their props, J Barret and Frizzel the AB’s can look weak. But then it changed and they were sleek! Suddenly the hope is back. As for the Hansen and Gretel play, I dunno’. If I go I may sneak into the chorus.

Your best players weren’t there. Experienced players are always needed at the RWC. Surely history shows that? And it’s really emotionally huge on the players that missed. It will take a while to resolve those emotions….maybe if ever, but I hope they do.
Steve Hansen lost the ‘19 RWC because he went too new. New with a bit of ego is the worst thing for a RWC.

One of them has eggs. I think they are quite short though, under four feet so probably not ideal for the line out unless they have some sort of spring power? Your RWC ‘11 team was pretty awesome. It couldn’t afford to lose players as the depth wasn’t there. If you hadn’t lost your pool match in ‘11 you must likely would have played the All Blacks in the final, and it would have been really close. You also would have beaten the Lions if Beale had got his penalty near the end. That was not Dean’s fault.

Let it go, start fresh. I would go for a kiwi again like Jamie Joseph. Problem is if your team isn’t number one in the world the coach will be sacked. Robbie Deans had you at 2 in the world and had a backline that was fast, slick and so close to being the best backline in the world. But was deemed useless by many.

I’m an ex banker if that helps at all Kennith. After watching a Seinfield episode where Newman says he longed to be a banker, well I’m became obsessed too. Problem was I could never get a professional job with my look or personality. So I made up a fictional CV and on paper I looked quite the part. I had my flatmate as my referee. I told him to polish up his accent and to use business cliches. At the interview I flattened my hair down and told myself I only had to act normal for 30 minutes. I was worried I would make a mistake – I get mixed up with “pre” and “post” and also “balls” and “heart”. When they offered the job I was very close to saying “one moment please while I ask my balls.”
Despite having banking experience I don’t know if I can help you. My true talents lie in psychology, potions and psychic powers. But even with the origin print, ‘Hansen and Gretel’ book to guide me I’m no miracle worker. I don’t like to admit to any limits but trying to fix Eddy Jones is like trying to fix a cone head, it’s just not that simple.

Hansen and Gretel review and update:
Steven Hansen entered the camp and gave Jones the original first print of Hansen and Gretel. Problem is I think it could be fake! Everyone knows Steve Hansen wanted to play out his favourite book and place the book into real life. “No no!” Scream Jones as he follows Steve Hansen’s advice, “this is the magical script and I will follow!”
Jones has been played by his half brother and half sister metamorphosed into seperate egos but as one. The ego has multiplied personalities. The soul just one; the truth but flows and shape shifts if need but always with the one heart.
The witch is a cannibal and gets beaten. A win against Wales can only be his chance of survival, otherwise how does Jones recover from this …? “just a game” maybe or “it’s only a book that Steve Hansen gave me…I thought I could change the finish and make the witch win.”
You’ve got one game to go so you never know. Whoever is in the Zen will win.

I have to agree Ireland are favourites. France have lost their 9 and 10…it’s difficult to see them getting through the quarter.
It’s a bit sad. I haven’t seen it but a broken jaw on a 9 seems dubious. Ireland, SA, AB’s France in that order.
The AB’s have the bests stats I think on line breaks. It’s telling. Individual brilliance but poorly coached. Foster needs to let the reigns go and let Schmidt lead the way. It’s frustrating as I feel I could pull it off with the brilliance that’s there. The Wallabies have it worst …what could have been? Man…I would be nearly inconsolable, thumb in mouth pleading for the pain to go. But it’s not over yet! The moment can change fast huh? It’s kinda’ like sort your problems out and have 80 minutes where you’re in the moment and free. At one with a plan man…!
