Hope that is true Larrikin, love to see Ross go to the Roos.

Brad Scott bows out: Roos coach to forego final year of contract

Scott has a job somewhere he would not be risking his $750,000 next year to go looking. It looks like Carlton, maybe Sydney.

Hopefully North and Carlton have crack at Lyon ? but i doubt it.

Common sense agreement, sets the scene for Freo if they drop there next two against Lion’s and the Pies you would imagine ?

Freo’s forward line is still the major problem, Taberner is done for the year although he has not worried the scoreboard. Cox only had 4 disposals last week probably survives now, McCarthy was poor in the WAFL it is time to give big forward Hugh Dixon a shot. It is hard to see where the goals are coming from as usual. It is Freos G.F. this week they really have to give David Mundy a bit more support.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 10

Would be silly to risk Rance this year, not match fit, confidence in the knee silly in my book. They can easily win it without him.

At this point, it's Geelong's flag to lose

This is where society is today, no name calling. Heavy fine yes, but suspension is absolutely insane.

Lloyd wishes Blues had Mumford's aggro

Attention seeker, it appears a battle between him and Razor Ray, it is a shame not a good look at all.

Patrick Dangerfield fires back at Kane Cornes

In the ‘good old days’ 1992 Geelong finished on top and were odds on to win the flag but a brilliant BOG from Peter Matera (5 goals) playing on the wing saw West Coast cause a upset and win, Ablett kicked 3 what a game !!! that is when real footy was played…….1994 West Coast rolled Geelong again 20-23 to 8-15

At this point, it's Geelong's flag to lose

Not a Tigers fan at all, just my take on it all.

At this point, it's Geelong's flag to lose

The Cats are purring, the Tigers are under manned and playing well regardless. It is like the Melbourne cup the leader peaks when the pressure is applied at the business end. The Tigers apply big pressure and can take the best of it when it comes. When the real stuff comes for mine they are the best. I saw it first hand at Optus (on the road) with 8 top 22 out 2 on the bench in the second 1/4 i witnessed a truly great footy team. I have taken the juicy odds for the flag to flog GWS.

At this point, it's Geelong's flag to lose

Give them nothing, they have been given more than any new club. There 16 games over 7 seasons is more generous than Freo’s. Maybe they should focus more on Cameron and in house issues than more gifts.

Mindset key to Giants poor MCG record

Brian Cook is the man, a true West Aussie !

2019 AFL Power Rankings: Round Nine

Good article Marnie, i am in the middle, from the old school but just my impression that the big majority of the hate appears to becoming from the left. It is sad as in my younger days there was very little anger. A large amount of today’s society does not know anything about Respect !

Outrage is ruining our game

I backed Buckley when most were calling to sack him, i think that Bolton should be given to end the year at the Blues. I said Lyon should be given till the end of the year to make the eight but that is looking very unlikely already. If they lose at home again this week the finals are gone, it is their G.F. against the Lion’s. The worry for me is Taberner. Cox and McCarthy were going to be the BIG improvers with the edition of Lobb and Hogan, in fact they are worse this year. Lyon appears to not be able to improve them or get the best out of them, or have they stopped listening !!!
Or are they B graders ?

Five talking points from AFL Round 9

McGovern and Hurn were sensational in the last 1/4 the two best in the competition. The Eagles are way off there best for some reason, but it is early days and apart from the Cats every other team is all over the shop, so i would suggest they will only get better. You have to feel for the dees they were undermanned and threw away easy shots on goal. Even though the free kick count was even the dees copped some shockers at vital times in the last 1/4 which added to there woes.

"We're not helping ourselves": Simpson concedes Eagles still off the pace

Sorry Pete scomo did not back stab anybody, it was Dutton, i have voted Labor most of my life and loved and voted for the the great man Bob RIP but he was stabbed himself and dumped by his party you probably do not remember that . Just stick to your Get-up comments , and ignore the truth. Cheers !

Vote 1: Women's sport

Eagles will win easily, Melbourne are not playing any where as good as last year and it has nothing to do with a couple of injuries, every club has a couple it evens out at the end of the day. Take the Tigers 10 out 2 down at half time beat freo at home so it is obviously depth in your list . Injuries are a excuse ….. try looking out of the square for the real reasons for a loss.

West Coast vs Melbourne: Friday night forecast

If you hate Abbott obviously you have been brainwashed by Shorten’s Get-up trash. He is a man who is honest, a surf life saver, volunteer fireman who has cycled and raised money for charity and more. A rare pollie that does not lie or bull…t and call’s it as he see’s it, obviously he does not appeal to everyone of course, also i have never seen any hate in this guy and he is a fighter.

Vote 1: Women's sport

Maybe divide that into four, just joking.

Vote 1: Women's sport

Take it from a wise old man coming up to my 50th election 40 for labor 9 for the other mob, a vote for Shorten will cripple the country wages may be higher but the loss of jobs and opportunity’s will be severe.

Vote 1: Women's sport

Not true at all ! Richmond were Thrashed by the Bulldogs at home (melb) the previous week.

AFL Round 9 will be season-defining for many clubs

Still excuses for Freo…..its never ending. Right Freo were not that bad on the day, but please at home against a depleted tigers, also losing two key players in the second quarter put it into perspective it was terrible loss. Lyon perhaps should follow other good coaches, try the boundary line. He has to use binoculars like Malthouse, obviously he is struggling to see. If you cannot win at home in what should have been a easy 4 points, stop the excuses and address the problem.

AFL Round 9 will be season-defining for many clubs

Lyon, ”Horse” and Roos created a lot of the rubbish and Pyke said himself last week other coaches are being dragged into there style. I know there is not a lot of love out there for Pyke but he is right. No one more than me is looking forward to see them gone.

The easy fix to the AFL's scoring woes

I was one that thought the new rules would be for better viewing, but i think its deteriorate heaps just on last year alone. I reckon we are averaging about 2 good ones a week this year. Last year probably 3-4 but the standard IMO is going down hill .
