If he went to the Sharks, all of a sudden the shire could get their ring, and they won’t throw this one into a volcano. If Carney-Gallen-Lewis all played in the one side, they would have tremendous go forward. Not to mention as time goes on the players around the core will get better and they will all improve. The halves will be better next year for experience together, while Carney should absolutely fire next year to prove that he isn’t going to mess up anymore. It would be good to see Gallen-Lewis-Carney win a grand final together.

Lewis' interest proves Sharks credentials

I am so over hearing about him. You can tell how much he hates Orlando and how much they don’t want him there. Just make up your mind and get out, and please, don’t come to Milwaukee ever in your career!!

Dwight to be the next All-Star in Hollywood

If he wins, we all go on a massive bender. I am rooting for him. I always have and always will, he is a champion in my view, just from what he has done so far. He just needs to confirm his status now by actually winning it. 2012 is his year.

Can Mark Webber pull a Cadel?

I love golden point, even on Monday night! It makes things exciting, especially when it is your team involved. I will never forget the draw the Storm fought out with the Warriors on ANZAC day in 2009.

The golden point is that we want a result

This is such a catch22. If Sonny plays the cup, the buzz around it would be enormous but then again why would we give it to somebody who does not deserve it or is out to make a quick buck?

Sonny Bill no certainty for Kiwis World Cup

It has been made clear that no mergers or relocations will be done. I do not understand why people are holding out for it. It would be bad for the game IMO and we would be rubbing out two whole fan base because we feel that they are needed to be sacraficed for a new club they could POTENTIALLY die out.

Rugby league's new era: where to now?

The product for Rugby League has much more potential and appeal than the AFL does if you truly think about it. Rugby League has a top flight code in another country and also has a competitive, well for the most part, international season.

Eddie Maguire. Look no further for your problem, he is easily found.

An open letter to Channel Nine

The Australian deal is already in its early stages of talks, so there is no real threat to running out of time there. But Sky Sport and Prime are keen to get the NZ deal out of the way and the ARLC has to look to improve it to be fair to the growth that has been had over the years. It is also big for our battle versus the Super 15 across the Tasman as, in my understanding, all of those matches are on pay tv, there is a real opportunity.

In regards to the new brand, well to be frank, I have no idea where to go with it. It cannot be the NRL and the name ARL will be tarnished along with the fact we have a kiwi side involved. I think some surveys and a think tank is to be had for this job. Do you have any ideas? And for the record, hopefully the brand looks good ;).

Rugby league's new era: where to now?

I mentioned a minimum to support the game and I am not talking a drastic pay cut that could potentially hurt the game. But if we get at least $1.2 billion dollars, I do not see why not we could part ways with channels offering more money that would hold us back in terms of broadcast, for a longer term gain.

Rugby league's new era: where to now?

I don’t think relocation will do any good for the game so I believe that is completely off the board for now. As for the NT, I can see where you are coming from, but I cannot see it in the near future. Down the track it would be very easy to admit a NT team providing the interest is there and the growth is sufficent but for now, we need to focus on a WA, SA, NZ 2, CCB and possibly the Brisbane Bombers, in no particular order.

While Queensland may have the dominance over NSW now, if a Women’s competition was established that would bring more professionalism, which means contracts and salaries. If the Queensland players were willing to sign lucrative deals to the other sides, then there is no reason why this won’t work in that regard.

Victoria currently play in the ‘Lesley Bunning Trophy’ tournament against Western Australia and South Australia. The Northern Territory has also begun playing in the same tournament so obviously there is interest from Women nation wide. They could become professional Rugby League players and join the first Victorian team. As for the ACT they could easily feed off the NSW Womens sides as well as coincide with the Canberra Raiders to promote the game to young girls.
