Excuse me you have got the”drift of Pacific Island players to NZ/Aust not entirely correct. Get it right, some of these players are born in the country or lived there since they were of young age.
Why should large sponsors support such feeble tournaments when there is no commercial return for them. The big sponsors are onlY interested in the Big boys-end of story!
Returning to the old format for touring teams playing local club teams is a good idea-don’t know why they IRB ditched it in the first place!
And just who is going to pick up all this expense? I doubt the IRB will.

I totally agree the Boks/ABs game will be a ripper but before that there is the matter of the Boks disposing of the Wannabes-a week before the semi.
This promises to be a cracker and both sides the Boks and Wannabes I’d imagine will be going hammer and tongs-whos left standing will play the ABs in the semi!
Whoever plays the ABs will battered, bruised and injuries aside will have to get up and play the ABs at Fortress Eden. The ABs will firstly need to win their QF and thats not going to be a walk in the park either ! Lets just wait and see what happens from here eh!

Most Kiwis support both All Blacks and Warriors
You may have pointed out all the good points about the NRL But they are nothing more than a bunch of money hungry labels. The NRL need to look at themselves theres, jobs for the boys, flash cars, staying in flash hotels, big salarys Plus bonus,bad, bad judicial process and poor refereeing.
The rugby league international calendar needs attention urgently! What a joke, laughable playing a four nations comp that includes Aussie, NZ, Papaua-NG and
England. And then you have the Rugby League World Cup circus travelling to a city or playing field near you! This is laughable and a joke too!!!
Wheres the promoting the league code in other countries around the globe-oh theres none! Wheres the development of the game around the globe-None!
What a shame! The rich get richer and greedyer!! League is nothing more than a circus code for the rich league clubs!
Why Warriors' success is good for rugby
Good time for some R&R and injuries to heal. The Wannabes will take stock and regather their thoughts about where they are and where to from here. Mr. Deans needs to re-assess the game plan. Firstly a decision needs to be made on replacements on those players unable to continue in the WC.
This will certainly test the depth, character and talent base of the Wannabes on wats on offer. Is there a space for Mr. Gitaeu? Robinson and Phil Waugh-can they be brought in? Only time will tell!

What a joke the NRL are? How can you have a fair playing field and treat every one on a level par with that kind of rubbish! Obviously the NRL were either blind or had blinkers on. The Warriors are up against it and tell you now they won’t win the Grand final. Manly will have the momentum going forward and I feel the Warriors have played their GF. Getting up for this one won’t be difficult for the Warriors But luck, odds, chances are against them pulling it off! Go Warriors!!!

Yes we still have a way to go to reach the final however its one game at a time. Good performance and win over France in the weekend despite some saying it was a B side. You can only play wats in front of you! The English press have beefed up the ABs to win. It would be nice if the Wannabes could knock off the Boks in their proposed Q/F match up but have a few injury problems and their player depth will be exposed for wat it really is. Anyone who can beat the ABs at Fortress Eden deserves to win the WC. The Boks have a poor record there as they haven’t won for 20yrs there. Only the French were the last team to beat the ABs in 1994.

Cooper, Beale, Genia and Co-they went missing!!Cooper especially played poorly and was shown up-end of story. The Wannabes will be lucky to string a team capable of beating the Boks with all their injuries going on. And there it it!!!

The ABs needed a game like the French to gee them up and now it looks like Argentina could be their Q/fs opponent. That will be a solid work out for the forwards and grunt up front at the breakdown and scrum But one game at a time eh. Timing would be perfect!
The Wannabes depending how they’re travelling including injuries will find their path difficult with their likely opponent the Boks. Have the Wannabes got good depth we’ll soon find out! Go ABs!!

Fantastic and Super performance by the Warriors. Great night for Sport for Kiwis!!! Not too many people thought the Warriors were going to win and that was proven wrong. Now its to the Grand Final so Go the Warriors!!!

Great performance by the ABs. The forwards did the business, made less mistakes and valued possession. Good games from Sir Ritchie, Thorn, Thompson, and the backs were Super. Dan Carter showed why hes the man and best #10 in the World. Dagg looked dangerous on attack and his D was outstanding!!
The French fell away but managed to score a few tries. This was the type of game the ABs needed and got at last. Go ABs!!!

Wat alot of injuries and damage done! The win was good but this is the cost. Wat a shame! Mr. Deans maybe on the phone shortly calling for replacements depending on how serious the injuries are? Really unfortunate-replacements need to fly over asap!!

I wouldn’t read too much into this result or score. Besides the Wannabes were just playing cannon fodder a useless USA, just a training run again! Doesn’t tell us anything-wait till they play the Boks in the quarters!!!

The inclusion of Dagg and SBW into the ABs backline could be the x-factor needed in launching a serious threat to opposing teams. Granted the Wannabes look good when Mr. Cooper is on song but now with Ioane out due to injury that sernario has changed. In comes James O’Connor who as we have seen previously is a match winner-this was always going to happen at some stage.
Being not overly impressed with the performances by NH teams-Scotl/Irel/Engl have been disappointing and boring to watch, only Wales and France have some credit to their recent perfomances shows just how strong the SH teams are.
This next round will throw up some more interesting results.

The present rugby league WC setup is laughable and a joke. Why because the NRL and State of Orgin are rated more important than some ding dong comp.
And besides the money hungry powers that be are very protective of their brand product and probably still see a WC as an intrusion. The Aussie league have zillions of money but will not help develop the game around the Pacific basin.
Even the world body is seen as a committee with no teeth and weak leadership.
Nothing will change the WC is just a dream! Wat a shame!
How to close Rugby League's international gap
The Wannabes are without doubt favs for this WC and the ABs home advantage won’t trouble the Wannabes either! Mr. Deans has provided an excellant team environment for his young team and I’m looking forward to their first game against Itlay who won’y be a pushover. As I understand the Italiains have a powerful scrum and a forward pack that enjoys the physical contact. Mr. Deans has been busy blending his team and they have deserved their recent”lucky” success with wins over the ABs and Boks!
Now we are down to the real business of the WC-and it promises to be a Super comp!
Would be great to see an ABs and Wannabes final!! Bring it on!

Some good observations! Yes it would be great to see the Wannabes play the ABs in the final but there is some way to go yet! OMG James O is a shoe-in for the team despite his misbehaviour and no way do I see Cooper/Beale kicking succesfully (90% required).
in this WC. So young James is urgently needed. The Wannabes forwards will struggle right thru the WC, its their weakness and don’t have the drive, passion, strength or power to provide a stable platform for the slow moving back 3!
Mr. Deans has done well of course being a kiwi who knows wats required to bring a team up and competitive but the Wannabes lack suitable depth in all positions-they strike as simple but clever players of some skill. No doubt with the 3rd best halfback Mr. Will Genia in the world-this bloke could almost be a match winner! the Wannabes are set for success against the minnow teams in their pool games.

Look this is the game played in heaven and yes if Jesus returned he’d be an ALL Black for sure-but don’t ask in what position! Good on him for standing up for his faith I mean the Legend Micheal Jones didn’t play on Sundays and his fellow ABs respected that.
