Lmao – The bunker decided the game??? Well given the bunker overuled an obstruction call with an interpretation that has been called obstruction all year I thought it had actually favoured Cronulla. (Catch ball on inside of lead runner, run behind then pass)

Five talking points from Manly Sea Eagles vs Cronulla Sharks NRL elimination final

A Patterson inclusion would have been justified before the tour match. Now it’s a must. I would like to see the following team for the 1st test against the Sri Lankans:

Harris
Renshaw (will probably get Burns)
Khawaja
Patterson
Head
Pucovski (will probably get Labuschagne)
Paine
Starc
Cummins
Lyon
Tremain (will probably get Richardson or Siddle)

Kurtis Patterson added to Australian Test squad to play Sri Lanka

Interesting side. Although I’m not sure its fair to use a very small 5 or 6 game sample size to rely on for selection.

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?class=4;id=2018;type=year

The above link shows most first class runs for 2018 and you can clearly see top 3 for Australian batsmen are:
1. Travis Head 1460 @ 41.71 – Only 1 century
2. Usman Khawaja 1444 @ 43.75 – 6 centuries
3. Matt Renshaw 1398 @ 42.36 – 6 centuries

Not sure how any case can be made for Labuschagne to play at #3?

Who really belongs in the next Test XI?

This is a markedly better side than the one who played India.
I would like to think the side would be
Harris
Renshaw
Khawaja
Burns
Head
Pucovski
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazlewood

I still think Maxwell very very unlucky.

Three changes confirmed in new-look Australian squad to play Sri Lanka

He’s left handed…

2018 First Class Runs
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?class=4;id=2018;type=year
Top 3 Australians:
Travis Head: 1460 @ 41.71 (1 hundred, 10 fifties)
Usman Khawaja: 1444 @ 43.75 (6 hundreds, 4 fifties)
Matt Renshaw 1398 @42.36 (6 hundreds, 4 fifties)

If that is failing then who is the alternate choice and what do their stats look like?

VOTE: Pick your Australian XI to play Sri Lanka

Change.org currently has one that is starting to gather a bit of support. https://www.change.org/p/cricket-australia-select-new-selectors-for-australian-cricket

Good news! We can stop calling for replacements, there's none there

That would be fine if any of them averaged over 40…

What would Australia XI vs Australia A look like?
