Pat Cummins is a massive hypocrite. He goes on about climate change but then flys first class everywhere. First class has a carbon footprint 7 times larger than economy class. He drives a range rover, one of the most polluting cars on the planet. Pats carbon footprint would be 10 times of a rank and file person yet there he is lecturing us like a true elite….’do as I say not as I do’. Why does he never say anything about India’s human rights record or India being a massive polluter? Oh that’s right, he’d lose his lucrative IPL contract. I respect pat for having the fortitude to speak his mind but I don’t have to agree with him.

How about schedule the BBL so that all the best players are here for the full season? Year after year the finals are a massive anti-climax because all the best players are gone by the time finals start. What other professional sport in the world has its finals with all the worst players?

As someone from South Australia I’ve often posted that I don’t understand why Rugby Australia and the Wallabies are always such an incompetent basket case. It’s one failure, one disaster after a another. Never received an answer on this website as to why.

As an AFL fanatic from South Australia, I grew fond of the Wallabies and Union as a kid in the late 90’s. For a sport mad nation like Australia I don’t undestand why the Wallabies are always so bad. It’s really depressing. How is it possible to be so bad all the time when Rugby is a popular sport here? What an appalling disgrace. I read somewhere that Wallabies players can only come from two elite private schools? Surely that can’t be right? Seems like all our best talent plays league but the rest of the world couldn’t care less about league, only us. How does Australia get the talent to play Union?

Have a look at Port’s list profile currently. It’s very young, most 24 or younger. The club has gone hard at the draft the previous 5 years.

Port have invested heavily in the draft for the 5 years 2018 to 2022 inclusive, and done so very astutely I might add. I’ve include 2022 because they essentially traded up for a 19 year old in JHF that would’ve been pick 1 in that draft. Furthermore they have a stack of young talent 23 or under. Then there’s a big gap in the 25-29 range.
If any club can afford to and really needs to trade in some 25yr old role players it’s Port. They’re bursting with young talent and players that were 30 plus.

Classic media overreaction to Bribane winning at the Gabba. The joint is a hot sweaty humid slippery dump, which we were never going to win at. Just really unlucky that finishing 3rd meant we had to go up there. Stinks really but oh well we know how the top 4 works. If we finished 2nd we would’ve flogged them at Adelaide Oval like last time. Brisbane can’t beat a decent team outside of the gabba unless the Oval has a roof on it to protect them from the cold.
It’s typical of short sighted media to now be talking Carlton and GWS up even though they only played a couple of very ordinary bottom 8 teams but apparently Port are cooked because they lost at the Gabba!

These days a player almost always gets to the club he chooses. Making an opposition club stronger is largely irrelevant compared to what the player wants.
Melbourne will naturally huff n bluff but ultimately there’s no room for two no.1 rucks in a team and they don’t want to be paying the salary of a disgruntled player languishing in to two’s simply because there’s no room in the one’s for him unless Gawn is injured.

Dear oh dear oh dear we are in big trouble. Our two practice matches have shown nothing has changed at all under our lame duck coach. Not one thing has changed from Hinkley-ball. People will say calm the farm fella it’s only a trial game but I’ve seen almost 10 years of hinkley-ball and it doesn’t stand up against good teams. Hinkley is a lame duck coach in his final year of 11 years. I can’t think of a team that has excelled in such a situation. 58 inside 50’s for 6 marks and 8 goals. It’s classic hinkley.
