Ok. Everybody minus McLennan.

COMMENT: 'Best interests of the game'? Hamish's dummy spit proves RA was right to cut him loose

Stop wasting column inches on this crap.

Everybody has moved on.

Looking forward to see what the new season of Super Rugby brings.

COMMENT: 'Best interests of the game'? Hamish's dummy spit proves RA was right to cut him loose

“Former Rugby Australia chairman Hamish McLennan has blamed a co-ordinated smear campaign by the state unions for his ousting and believes the decision was one made due to “money and control”.

Sometimes you have to eat s^*t so others can eat caviar, Hamish.

'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year

Exactly. Props on diet duty. 😱 Must be the biltong that builds them big over on the Cape.

ANALYSIS: McLennan's fatal blind spot, and why his exit leaves Australian rugby in a better place and a worse one

Cut and paste the comments from ‘The Roar’. Job done.

ANALYSIS: McLennan's fatal blind spot, and why his exit leaves Australian rugby in a better place and a worse one

“Found a way to bring people together, not divide them.”

This is the core failing of the McLennan reign. Change management may sound like a corporate-speak however it is the fundamental task which faces whoever replaces McLennan.

I will never forget the Chairman advising those fans grumbling about the RWC campaign – “Don’t watch”.

And for what it’s worth, I never liked Cadbury as a sponsor, I never thought chocolate and rugby were a natural fit.

Someone who understands rugby and is actually passionate about the game not just ‘connected’ and angling for a World Rugby gig.

'I won't back down': McLennan set to dig in as embattled RA chair calls on EGM to 'clear this up once and for all'

That would make some sense if McLennan was the one calling the meeting.

A rugby fan could be forgiven for wondering why this wasn’t the first thing he did when appointed 3 years ago.

'I won't back down': McLennan set to dig in as embattled RA chair calls on EGM to 'clear this up once and for all'

Just waiting for the board statement that “Hamish has our full support”. That will be the sign that the final nail is being hammered into his coffin.

He’s a victim mate, don’t you get it? 😡

McLennan said it was important he stand up to the “bullies” who are holding Australian rugby back. “The RA board should stand firm against the bullies,” he said.

Perhaps he needs a session in the hall of mirrors. Didn’t he bully the Board into agreeing to switch out coaches 5 minutes before the start of the RWC?

Money always backs money.

Well it is about that too, the rugby community don’t want the Hamster at the centre of anything.

'No longer have any trust or faith': Rugby Australia chairman told to resign by SIX states, EGM looms with 'gloves off'

I can’t think of worse position to be in than having everyone around wanting you gone.

Not exactly an advertisement for good officiating to be frank.

But it wasn’t the deciding factor anyway.

Rugby News: World Rugby warns Kiwis' over 'robbery' whine, Barnes hits back at ABs, damning report into 'toxic' culture

But they went back for a penalty in the line out. I don’t recall exactly, but was advantage being played throughout that passage of play leading up to the try? If they saw the penalty infringement, why not the knock on?

Of course scoring tries wins trophies. In 7 out of 10 World Cup deciders, tries were scored. You’ve simply highlighted South Africa’s tournament style which proves that defence wins trophies too. In the latest case, one team was down to 14 men and still had the opportunity to win the game but were unable to take their opportunities. None of this takes away from the salient point that without a decent kicker, a team’s chance of success in tournament rugby is limited.

Possession Rugby is on life support - and the stats from the World Cup prove it beyond doubt

The trouble with podcasts is there is no room to read.

But he is just repeating what everyone else was thinking and saying at the time. Which really makes his comments redundant and likely unhelpful at the Rebels.

100% of tries score in the tournament were scored by the team in possession.

Caterilllar rucks must die. No player may join the ruck after a ruck has been established to purposely allow the ball to be rolled backwards for a box kick.

Just speed everything up around the scrum, the set, the reset and the put in. Obvious penalties only.

Tactical substitutions only. This whole playing for 50-60 mins then bring on finishers strategy is nuts. 12 players must play 80 mins unless injured in which case a substituted player must return. It’s not that there is a great deal wrong with having subs but it was noticeable in the RWC how incredibly disrupted the 2nd halves were. Constant stoppages for one reason or another to break the momentum of one side.

Water carriers and medical staff may only enter the field of play if expressly permitted to do so by the officials.

'Always knew it would get really ugly': RA chief's strange admission as World Cup budget blow out revealed

Which he is entitled to do because, you know, he donates his salary to fund indigenous and women’s rugby.

The question is – why is his salary taking precedence over the game? And despite this largesse from Hamish, RA still overspent on the RWC. There appears to be an accounting problem.

As previously stated on the Roar, I’d rather a Chairman that really needs the money instead of someone who thinks it would be really cool to run rugby as a hobby.

Bad decisions are always made by the Board. Good decisions are usually only made by the Chairman. According to some.

Well he checked in with the referee. “What am I supposed to do if he calls me a…….”

Do what you did last time Tom, nothing.
