The Professor?…is he in his sights? He’s always said he’d never go up against the AB’s.

How Schmidt landed All Blacks icon at Wallabies - and why '80 per cent of coaching is selection'

Hard to defend Pearce when Barrets 6’5 & he splits his forehead with his snout.

Force cop fresh blows after Rodda's latest setback and Pearce's ban, Rebels open up on 'deflating' start

TT’s like a 135kg bully when the opposing packs back off him – the problem is the big 4 teams don’t. It’s a combined effort that takes those guys down & sometimes he looks to be operating solo, picking & choosing when to inject. Atonio, Furlong & Malherber are the top-shelf tightheads that spring to mind, maybe not explosive around the park but massive contributors to the forward effort. Will be interesting to see where he stands with Schmidt.

'There's a responsibility': Waugh's message to Tupou as RA CEO rejects flight risk fears

Like it Dunc…If its good enough for the Breakers, the Phoenix & the Warriors to hitch onto an Australian comp it should work the other way as well.

'You can't sell a secret': Biggest issues facing Australian rugby - and why it's in better shape than meets the eye

Staying heavy didnt affect Antonio Uini & NZ’s stereotype on player weights would have seen him go no where in their system. He came back to haunt New Zealand.

Nuclear blow to Wallabies' hopes of dominating key area - as Fiji selection puts full glare on Donno

I’m still worried that an AB Prop (Lomax) couldn’t counter the bore in, if it was happening as you suggest. Is it a lack of technique or strength to drive thru if he’s getting nailed, don’t know, but Owen Franks sure as hell countered it. Not sure Xavier Numia needed replacing tho.

…you had me up until Laumape 😛

The Wrap: Tense, gripping clash of styles falls the All Blacks' way

Agree. Kwagga punches above his weight with good mobility, much like Pete Samu – who also had question marks over his size at International level. I’m not sure Kwagga suits the current style of SB play. Continuity seems his style which will ultimately get him isolated by his team mates lack of mobility or fitness – Etzabeth not included.

'Bring back that wild waterboy': The Boks are 'sick' and maybe a return to Rassie is the only cure

Alas you may have to find other stimulants for a “stiffy” Kent as there’s no chance of rucking coming back. BTW South Island teams were the masters of rucking back in the day, just ask Welsh great JPR Williams after John Ashworth dug a hole in his face back in the ’78 UK Tour.

'Grossly negligent': Lions legends call for end of finishers and impact subs to make rugby 'safer'

Maro Itoje MOM for me just tipping Lawes. Itoje’s composure & thinking speed at crunch times is impressive. AWJ was also massive, slowly becoming a fan. While most pundits are calling the game boring (After the diet of Super Rugby), I enjoyed the contest. Waited for the Bomb Squad 😛 only to find it was a dud. Did Bokke arrogance backfire? the starting front row were great.

Match report: Lions roar back to down Springboks in first Test

you wanna be the best or keep on bulls%&$$ing yourselves….

How to fix Australian rugby's trans-Tasman problem

I hope TJ plays well and dispenses with the theatrics. He needs a big game, there’s a noticeable drop in rhythm when Smith leaves the field.

Four Bledisloe 4 debutants for New Zealand as Foster makes mass changes

He’s not short on confidence, is he? “I’ve stuck my head in those dark places” – I think it’s still there to be honest. He’d give Louis Armstrong a run for his money.

Scrum coach to make a weapon of the Wallabies

Agree Potsie Re; Karl & Ofa for that matter. I don’t mind giving up mobility for scrum dominance but I’m not sure we’re getting that.

Why is there such variability in the All Blacks' forward performances?

Nick Bishop has video of TTs scrumming. He’s angled so much into the hooker his right foot almost touches the B/S Flankers hand. Wasn’t legal in my day, has that changed? Ofa Tuungafaasi was penalised for the same technique in the North South game.

Brumbies cry scrum foul ahead of final

since when was angling in legal at scrum time….boring in is illegal from a loosehead prop so when was boring into the hooker legal as a tighthead ?

The great tighthead prop debate, Part 2: Triple-A versus Tongan Thor

Jeez read the title…thought PK had trouble with the family jewels.

Phil Kearns: Keeping the elephants inside the tent

Cameron George has been at the forefront of a lot of stuff that we shouldn’t of even heard about let alone seen. Him & Johnson’s fallout was akin to watching mum & dad having a domestic in the middle of the street 😔 .

Stephen Kearney at the Warriors: The good, the bad and the ugly

😂 You win Mr Smith

Where should journeyman Green play for the Knights?

Yep I dont disagree at all. The system has its critics but its distribution of players works for them.

Club or country: Balancing each side's needs at the selection table

Thats an advantage of NZ’s Centralised contracts system. AB coach wants to see Joe Bloggs play at this position – has quiet word to SR coach – hey presto. Any chance of Rennie getting favors along that way?

Club or country: Balancing each side's needs at the selection table

I was implying that from about the 50-55min mark his input at the breakdown area is severely reduced. He starts to turn into a roving back rower. I realize my post may have had insinuations, that wasn’t my intentions.

Any which way you can: Australia’s intriguing choice at tighthead prop

Any which way you can: Australia’s intriguing choice at tighthead prop

Just saying Max, to be able to haul 130kg+ around at a rate of knots at the 70min mark is either a result of super conditioning or …

Any which way you can: Australia’s intriguing choice at tighthead prop

Yeah but who’d you want to start. And what version of TT do you want if you want him to start?
