The idea of position switching the country’s best young prop from a supposedly top coach is absolutely gobbledygook and the kind of brain dead thinking that has gotten Aus rugby lagging behind.

Although gutted for Bell and hopes he takes the time off to get that foot right to put some more mongrel in the pack again.

'Needs to be considered': Bell out of Super Rugby season as ex-Wallaby suggests left-field positional switch

Hard to think of two worse figures in the history of Australian Rugby than Eddie Jones and Hamish McLennan

'Everything was approved': Eddie hits back at $2.6m RWC budget blow-out, says Wallabies can build team around young gun

Seriously mind-boggling that this game isn’t being televised.
How is this not a core requirement when scheduling an international fixture? Not trying to be negative, but this is a ball drop from RA

'It's still a gold jersey': Swinton out to impress as key to Aus A success against Wallabies RWC pool rivals revealed

Phil Waugh has set the pass mark as a semi-final appearance. Given the easier pool and pathway there, the Wallabies have a chance of making it there.

Considering though the Wallabies have gone winless in 2023 you would consider a quarter final berth reflective of where they sit in the world rankings. This talk of using this World Cup as development is ludicrous, and like every other country we’ve had 3 years to put forward the strongest team possible.

Eddie has done what was needed four years ago and ripped the bandaid off. Now he's breathed life into Aussie rugby

The sheer fact that only more Brumbies players were selected than the Force is bloody stupid.
Brumbies – 6,
Rebels – 7,
Waratahs – 8,
Reds – 7,
Force – 1

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

It genuinely feels like RA is stumbling from bad to worse decisions, and Eddie is supercharging the downwards spiral. No fault of the guys picked, but it’s hard to keep the faith with Australian Rugby. Will let the results at the World Cup speak but if the results aren’t there, the screws need to be turned on the board, the chair and the coach.

“Pack of dogs” – frame that and put it at the end of the locker room tunnel. You gotta love to see the fight the Reds showed tonight. A few 50/50 balls won through sheer will, especially that Chiefs fumble from kickoff that Vest (?) gathered was a momentum keeper

'We defended like a pack of dogs': Tate leads Reds to stunning win after Thorn's huge call ends 10 years of pain

Similarly, a big fan of Wilkin’s work. Keen to see how the standings play out at the end of Super season and let the results pick to a degree

Every country has a position that defines its rugby soul. For the land of Ned Kelly, look no further than No.7

Thanks for reading! I reckon it boils down to game plan and play style – McReight more as an offensive threat, Hooper defensive and Wilkin as a bit more physical and ace ruck forming. I rate Wilkin as top flight and would like to see him put in the fire and see what he can do as part of Wallabies back row.
My open-side power rankings are:
1. Wilkin
2. McReight
3. Hooper/Rory Scott

Nailing down the No.7 options shapes as one of Eddie Jones' toughest calls

Brumbs pack are shaping up nicely with the return of Tom Hooper heading towards finals season

Super Rugby Rd 11 teams: Wallabies bolter makes return, key All Blacks duo back from lengthy injuries

Consider me a Tom Hooper truther! High work rate, physical and a difference maker for the Brumbs last year. Rate him to string games together to make a finals run and be a Wallabies bolter

'Roam, hit, run': The bouncer Eddie must find in the Wallabies' most open position
