Played a few sports in my time, excelled at none of them, couch expert at most.

A transfer window and a fee for signing players from another club. Problem solved.

Penrith want compensation for a fourth-choice half with six games to his name

Watson more then held his own defending in the middle when he played hooker. I reckon with the way the game is going; a faster middle, quicker play the balls and targeting around the ruck repeatedly to get that roll on, we will see more middles in the mould of a cam murray, cheese and radley. Connor Watson fits the bill there for mine. Worth a go.

Is Connor Watson cut out to be a lock forward?

“Paul Green is a premiership coach, so I’m not sure what Todd Payten will get out of the squad that Green couldn’t”.

Did you see what Payten got out of the Warriors? He’s exactly what the Cowboys need. Green as a coach had Thurston for most of his time at the cows which in my opinion papered over the cracks. NQ has a decent squad on paper but needs someone who can get the best out of them. Hopefully Payten can do what he did with NZ.

Is the NRL ladder in for a 2021 shake-up?

That wouldn’t offset for me having the club I support and the club that made me love rugby union get shafted.

This is the problem with rugby in the last decade or more – top down thinking. The success of the top doesn’t justify ripping out or neglecting the pieces under it.
Building from the bottom up will eventually yield the same results- depth, sustainability, renewed interest and a successful international team.

Australian rugby: A blueprint for the future

I’ve been a brumbies season ticket holder for the last 6 or 7 years and have been going to Brumbies games all my life.

The drop in crowd for the brumbies is synonymous with the drop in crowds everywhere in SR. The die hards continue to go but the average punter is sick of watching meaningless games against teams they don’t care about. I found it a chore going to watch brumbies sharks on a 0 degree night.

Also with regard to your first point, cutting the brumbies would be a mistake. It would alienate another chunk of supporters In Australian rugby, which is something it cannot afford to do. Personally, if RA shunted the brumbies down to some secondary nothing competition I’d find it hard to keep supporting.

Australian rugby: A blueprint for the future

Couldn’t see milos Degenek in the defence but he needs to be there. And not sure why Scott McDonald got a shout at all, let alone in the midfield

Select your Socceroos squad for a very busy 2021

I had tickets to Socceroos Uruguay with my dad and brother. I was in year 11 and lived at the time about half an hour outside of Canberra and had a practice hsc exam the next day. Mum put her foot down and wouldn’t let me go.

I watched that game at home on my own and was in tears at the end – partly because of the result and partly because I knew I’d missed out on the most amazing night of sport I ever had the opportunity to be a part of.

My dad and my brother still give me stick about it, and mum, even though she knows in hindsight she did the wrong thing, still is adamant I had to do the exam that would have absolutely no bearing on my life.

Ten 'you had to be there' moments in Australian sport

Yeah maybe. We still have chair who is coming on well who would go part of the way to filling Ezes void.

Ebere Eze: The best player in the Championship?

I’d argue BOS has had a better second half of the season than Eze and is as possibly as important. Not taking anything away from Eze though, the kid is a freak. God i hope he doesnt go to Spurs…

Ebere Eze: The best player in the Championship?

The Gold Coast isnt a problem for the NRL, its a problem for sports teams full stop. No team in a national competition has had any success despite there being a number of professional teams for the better part of 40 years. NRL, AFL, Soccer, Basketball have all failed. I dont know why (players go up there to party, no connection with the area and community??) but figuring that problem out is key.

The Titans aren't going anywhere, and that’s a good thing

Good read.

The NRL statistics you haven't heard of before

Ive read a few of your articles and bit my tongue but i cant anymore. This is a terrible article. It truly serves no purpose.

Why would the NRL cut Manly, Cronulla and Canterbury to bring back the Bears? Ive read some crazy things on the roar but that takes the cake.

And then you suggest bringing in Perth, Darwin, Adelaide (and more reasonably albeit an idea thats been said a million times before) and Central Coast as expansion teams with absolutely no suggestions as to how that would work in reality.

I hope this article is an attempt at satire, otherwise i have no words…

The five expansion clubs that could replace the Titans

Bold tactic going against Jordan with only 10 on the park, could be a good morale booster if we get up though…

Questions the Socceroos must answer before the Asian Cup

If you find it difficult to support your team because they finish low to mid table every year then thats on you. You’re a glory hunter. Sport isnt about everyone getting a trophy or waiting your turn to be the best because itll inevitably come around. Its about supporting the club that you support through thick and thin, regardless of results. 99% of football fans clubs in england wont win a league, doesnt deter them…

The NRL is the world's most even competition. This is good, right?

England will run away with it in the last 10 minutes, but will be a tight game until then. I think this will be the game of the 6 nations if it can stay dry, and hopefully will be high scoring

Finn Russell is the key for Scotland

Isi Naisarani or Rob Valetini will be our 8 come seasons end

What do we want from Super Rugby in 2018?

Tahs fan im guessing

What do we want from Super Rugby in 2018?

Simmons is more of a negative than positive – hes been garbage for years.

What do we want from Super Rugby in 2018?

Tough times mate, i feel for you this weekend. I was very pro force, but always had that feeling that the Rebels would stay. I dont hate them nearly as much as i hate the tahs, but they are a very easy second to them now.

What do we want from Super Rugby in 2018?

Nope. Tahs will run third or fourth behind Brumbies, Rebs and possibly QLD

Super Rugby 2018 preview: Waratahs and Brumbies

It’d be nice to see, just once, that a junior they developed themselves would get a go.

Four players who could replace Karim Benzema at Real Madrid

It starts with more community engagement. Im a primary school teacher in Canberra and we’ve had numerous Raiders and even GWS visits over the last few years – none from the Brumbies.

What’s the top priority for our Super Rugby sides?

Best coach in Australia by default; two are rookie coaches and the other is Darryl Gibson. Dan McKellar will be ‘the best coach in Australia’ by the end of the season. That is, unless Eddie Jones comes home for a few weeks after England tour of South Africa.

What’s the top priority for our Super Rugby sides?

Not until they sign for the tahs…

What’s the top priority for our Super Rugby sides?

I’ve been a lifelong Brumbies fan, but if Tom Carter comes out of retirement to play in the row for us I’ll be done
