They weren’t asked.

FFA ratify new banning procedure

And the journos too huh. 😆

You are spot on about privacy laws.
Ironically I would say the behavior of those people was more enabling than preventative.

Victory issued show-cause notice for flare up

Short doco on the events that got us here.

Victory issued show-cause notice for flare up

It’d be nice to think so Q but remember, a 5 year ban means nothing, I don’t think booing will make them think twice.

Victory in FFA sights over flares

Being asked to stop and getting some current affair style footage should not preclude the positive pictures they wanted.

Victory issued show-cause notice for flare up

Refusal to come up with something unique?

I think that having a combination of European, middle eastern, African and south American songs and rhythms, under laid by the rest if the crowd rising and falling, is pretty unique and perfectly reflective of western Sydney myself.

So when a group of people say please don’t film, the positive story is chucked out the window.

If a positive story was sought all that needed to happen was to shoot the next lot of fans going to the game. Or perhaps they could have asked people for their landscape footage if they were desperate. They chose to keep filming. .. and got enough.

Not defending anyone who assaulted anyone if that is found to be the case.

But you talk about “trouble anyway”. This is it. Footage of people with hands blocking a camera lens before the game has kicked off.

Oh there it is

Something else to chalk up to the rbb.

Not to do with missing 3 of our most influential players.

Not to do with the counter being effective in the heat.

Not to do with our continual lack of precision up front.

Not to do with some pearlers from Powell.

FMD.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Wellington Phoenix highlights: Nix shock Wanderers

Your 4231 is a 433 variation mid.

How football's 4-3-3 formation works

And in too.

Everyone’s hysteria needs to find a new notch now and the FFA are in a tight spot.

Melbourne City vs Melbourne Victory highlights: Derby ends in 2-all draw

I’ve been playing and following football since I could walk. It’s not unusual where I live in Australia – and that’s understatement. Please don’t tell me I’m “not authentic” or putting on an affectation. It’s my community and my experience and its the same for many many others.

If one of the reasons you don’t like something us because it seems affected to you – you might need to have a think about that a little more deeply.

Hey sockah people, here's a tip

Flares outside the ground, Herald Sun all over it.

Your move FFA….

Melbourne City vs Melbourne Victory highlights: Derby ends in 2-all draw

He was taking the mickey when he wrote that MF. … “having something sporty to do” is probably a more accurate description of the intent.

Hey sockah people, here's a tip

MF there was big difference between the shrove/village/folk/festival games, and field games, which there is also evidence for existing for a long time. Folk games were large and unruly and played on special days; field games were contained and had teams and could be played anytime (provided there was time off or his nibs wasnt watching).

The schoolboy games were not descended from the folk sort and were probably not descended from the field games either; they were the product of young boys with free time and space.

The Sheffield game has a much closer link to the lower classes, without any public school boys being a part of its formalization.

I agree though, that people knew what football was. A game where you kick a ball probably covered it, and there were many variations which could allow for people to pick up different variations (although the public school types usually didn’t deign to).

After all the first reference we have to it in Australia is in Sydney in the 1820s.

Hey sockah people, here's a tip

Actually MF they were largely pinching bits of games from their schools. Those games were not particularly ancient – most 20-50 years old from memory.

There were older field games but the public school boys were not likely to have come across those.

This was possibly different in Sheffield where the progenitors weren’t as “respectable” and were perhaps influenced by the wider field games. And of course it was Sheffield that saved the FA bacon in the end.

Hey sockah people, here's a tip

So he played for a cambridge sporting team in the period when his old mates at rugby and their colleagues from the other schools were trying to get football up and running there as well.

Hey sockah people, here's a tip

While they’ve always worked with the club and successfully so with pretty much the same statement known well to the club there’s plenty.

Red and Black Bloc's response to FFA flare up is embarrassing

Wills was at cambridge for a bit too. So that’s three.
The significance is that at Cambridge they said the same thing – that their rules were based on Eton, harrow etc. Same idea, people from the same milieu, and while an original copy doesn’t exist , we’ve got a very good idea of what the rules were…. and they were very similar to the code that pops up in Melbourne.

Hey sockah people, here's a tip

No, you are not blaming the perpetrator. You are blaming the bystanders for not “cracking into” people.

The perpetrator and the perpetrator alone is responsible for the flare. They should get what’s coming. AND THEY DO MOST OF THE TIME.

But no, better to use vigilantism because someone thinks security couldn’t handle pat downs – even though they can and do and coupled with other measures, aided by all parties including the dreaded rbb, this appears to pretty much work.

Wanderers will become top dogs, but mischief makers must pull their heads in

I think its who uses the most phrases out of hooligan movies. WF, you are on your way me old China. Now jog on.

Wanderers will become top dogs, but mischief makers must pull their heads in

Yeah…

Parra has height restrictions due to heritage of the park. Expansion really is nigh on impossible.

I think though, we like our shade. And also complaining about dodgy roofs that fail to keep rain out.

Wanderers will become top dogs, but mischief makers must pull their heads in

Nobody’s forcing you matty. Imo organised support leaves anything else for dead, and is still reactive in its own way. Add to that the sound of a natutlral crowd in the rest of the joint and you have perfection. Each to their own though eh?

Wanderers guilty: Fined $50,000 and docked three competition points

Quite possibly fadida although AZ is right in terms of it being next to impossible. But I know what you are getting at.

So here’s the thing.
If the bloke best to him knows, most likely he won’t do anything. You follow me? So now there’s two blokes the potential whistle blower has got to worry about. Maybe he will just provide an alibi – he didnt do it! And mr whistleblower also knows that there are a stack of cameras pointed in the direction which will pick up this guy…. and if they haven’t…. how can it be proved it was him anyway?

So… You can do that and create problems… or just let security and police do what they are paid to.

Wanderers guilty: Fined $50,000 and docked three competition points

How is it the fairest? There must be 1500 people in the rbb, the vast majority of whom are not responsible for any flares.

The fairest solution is to get the flare rippers and punish them. Which they do most of the time already.
