I was going to mention Fishers Ghost. The Ghosties… Fishers Ghost Busters… NRL area so the BooFC…. I guess at least Gallop kept to his word and fished where the fishers are…. ok I’ll get my coat.

An aesthetic assessment of the A-League's new expansion teams

did you complain about Melbourne Heart encroaching on Victory’s territory?

Dharawal FC? Tell 'em they're dreaming

what’s the got to do with the sports constitution, the role/power of the states and overall governance of the sport. Gee you are sensationalist. Will you admit you had no idea what you were talking about when calling for the FFA to clean out the state feds? And if you did know and deliberately spouted “fake” opportunity, what does that say about your journalistic integrity Mike?

All the politics don't mean a thing until the FFA fix football's problems

“a root and branch clean out of the state feds”… such a naive comment for a football “journalist”. Please explain the power and mandate the FFA have under the constitution to do that? It’s like when uninformed people say “the Government should get rid of the state governments”…. The only “governments” who have the power to write themselves out of the Constitution are the states themselves!

All the politics don't mean a thing until the FFA fix football's problems

A Sydney derby kicking off before a world cup match. There’s so much wrong with this article, I shouldn’t even bother commenting. Obviously not a soccer fan or maybe just a youngen….

A FIFA World Cup in Australia: Could it happen?

what’s wrong with that? if you know the risks up front then you gotta spend to put a team on the park that will perform. its a win for fans and a win for football.

A thorough recap of the FFA candidates community forum

I’ve been on that price for ages. I don’t know about a link. It’s what I negotiated. Do you want me to post a copy of my bank statement?

Streaming may be the A-League's future, but is it enough to pay the bills?

I have basic plus sport HD for $39p/m. Not sure why people keep hashing out these $60 figures. If anyone is paying that, they’re not a good negotiator.

then it would have been a back pass

Masterful Craig Goodwin performance carries Adelaide to FFA Cup glory

Poor Izzo. What’s a goalkeeper to do in that situation. It’s a rubbish rule he gets a yellow card (I know it’s better than the old red card/pen rule). If anything Elsy should’ve gotten the yellow for a shocking stitch up!

Masterful Craig Goodwin performance carries Adelaide to FFA Cup glory

i don’t see how VAR is any more disruptive than play acting. If anything it’s probably less disruptive because the ref has already stopped the game after a goal so all that is being delayed is the kick off.

VAR here to stay, says head of A-League

i’m obviously in the minority. I like it and think it adds a bit of extra fun. They just need to get it right like at the world cup.

VAR here to stay, says head of A-League

all sounds fair enough from the FFA

Mariners' offer for "much, much less" than Bolt's request

word is they had the lowest coin for stumping up a license. so where is billionaire Bruce?

Wollongong Wolves bid rejected as FFA provides expansion update

as if you don’t work for AFL. and anyway, what about the subsidies these clubs received from AFL to keep them afloat?

Wollongong Wolves bid rejected as FFA provides expansion update

things went quiet with bruce Gordon after the dragons purchase. the bid went silent. might’ve been something to do with that. hardly the FFA’s fault. And Canberra are still in the running. that’s a regional bid for you.

Wollongong Wolves bid rejected as FFA provides expansion update

so many people will follow Celtic or whoever but then claim the A-League is crap. Amazing.

I'm on the Bolt bandwagon - and you should be too

Why wouldn’t the FFA want to chip in some funds for Bolts contract? If the Mariners are going to offer him one, FFA might as well chip in some funds in order to lock in some commercial value from Bolt for the league. They could then use him in advertising and marketing. Without FFA chipping in then either the Mariners might not be able to afford him or if they do sign him, they will control all promotional activities (i’d assume?).

I'm on the Bolt bandwagon - and you should be too

what do you mean for sale again? c’mon Waz that is plainly false.

Is the A-League due for a little luck?

interesting comment about women and soccer. do you know whether the AFL has a strategy to address their aging baby-boomer supporter base? and with their China obsession, do they have plans to import club scarves once all the old knitting ladies die out?

New stadiums alone won't solve attendance woes

that’s cos there’s naff all else to do in dreary Melbourne. plus the folk there are just strange

New stadiums alone won't solve attendance woes

depends what league model they have in mind to present to broadcasters. Could it be expanded Australian content (hopefully)? Or a Sage Asia expansion model (that would definitely boost value)? Or perhaps CFG have some international broadcasters lined up? Who knows!? that’s half the problem. What are the clubs plans, why haven’t they released their alternative operating model they have publicly admitted to putting together?

What do you think the A-League will look like after the EGM?

another scatter gun article from Mike. Man where did you learn to write? You need to slow your brain down and think about what point you’re trying to get across.

And the 20 comments a few weeks back, i’d say is more on the new design of the Roar than the article itself. But don’t worry you’ll get tonnes (well as many as the new format allows) on this article cos you threw in a strange bit about an NRL player in a football article.

Is it the media's responsibility to only report good news stories?

funny Waz. I do expect they’ll have great crowds though (apart from at the SCG) and prove once and for all Allianz is the wrong place for the team.
