With our population one domestic homicide per week is actually very very low when compared to all other nations.

USA is more than 8x our rate. UK is double.

Any murder is too many, but some perspective is useful.

Paul Kent's domestic violence charges are far more serious than just a 'rugby league soap opera'

No they wouldn’t.

Do you think a truck driver, a butcher, a baker or a candle stick maker would get stood down??

Most employees wouldn’t even know if they’re staff were charged with a crime.

Australia is not facing a Domestic Homicide Emergency.

This is simply not true.

It is a falsehood perpetuated by certain sections of media & society.

The rate is trending down.

The rate is one of the lowest of all developed nations. Only Singapore, Japan & Ireland have a lower rate.

Mary would know this but chooses to report otherwise.

Why?

Stupid Question: How can they play night-time BBL Matches (& AFL & NRL Matches) at this ground but not play test cricket on an overcast day?

‘Light rule is too soft’: Border fuming, Labuschagne frustrated, Proteas up in arms in dramatic start to SCG Test

Yep, it’s just biased media reports about poor li’l NAS. Nothing to do with the broken teeth & the raking of the elbow viciously across the eye socket of a downed opponent. ????.

Moses surprised NAS shot put on report as Bellamy blows up about media 'picking on' Nelson

Well Melbourne are quite partial to some under-the-table payments…

If they’re not included in the Salary Cap are they included in their income tax??

It was late & he didn’t wrap the arms. What does he expect? If he had a brain in his head he wraps the arms & gets away with it….

Craig Bellamy’s protestations are getting funnier by the week.

On a side note – how funny that Mitchell Moses (of all people) headbutts Bromwich out of the game. What goes around comes around eh??

Should we start a GoFundMe to buy Craig BellyAche some tissues??

Yet somehow Nat Myles got the gig on this list??

Enjoyed the article. But Nat Myles?? I can only presume he was included to provoke comments!!

The players who explain Origin: Maroons edition - Queensland’s finest contributors to league’s fiercest rivalry

The phrase “Player Led Environment” sends a chill down my spine.

The coach is not there to make friends nor to keep everyone happy. So far as possible it should be a friendly & harmonious environment, but ultimately he’s the boss. And the boss has to make hard decisions.

I would have thought Langer’s current successes would have cemented his spot. But no, anything but!!

I mean to say, I’m terms of on-field success it’s hard to fault him isn’t it??

Perhaps he needs to soften his approach a little bit, but surely sacking him is not the solution.

Horses may not like being whipped, but boy do they love winning.

Ashes Scout: Shock 'favourite' to replace Langer, suffering Stokes should be dropped for own good

Thanks.

A little bit of light in the dark.

'How racist do you have to be?': ABC presenter stunned by de Kock decision as cricket world divided

Colin’s stance was brave, individual & exceptional powerful. He has my respect.

But this business of The Cricket Board COMMANDING players to do such & such is ridiculous.

It is a form of silent protest & respect people’s right to protest. But surely it cannot be made compulsory??

'How racist do you have to be?': ABC presenter stunned by de Kock decision as cricket world divided

They accept rules that we, as a society generally agreed upon over the course of many centuries. Rules imposed by democratically elected governments. Not rules thrown upon them by clumsy fools from the Cricket Boardroom who are rushing to BE SEEN to be doing something about a political/equality issue in society.

'How racist do you have to be?': ABC presenter stunned by de Kock decision as cricket world divided

Well at least it solved all racism in Australia – so the ends justified the means….

Did you take a knee before you started work this morning? Are we all now expected to make these meaningless gestures before beginning on any & all activity?

Is every player in every sport across the world from now until kingdom-come expected to take a knee prior to any and all matches?

From U/6 Soccer in Sumatra to the Olympic Finals in Paris??

What started out as a grass-roots act of solidarity & in some cases defiance has been seized by PC corporate interests & mangled & actually now created more division.

Now excuse me while I make my Weet Bix. After taking a knee (of course).

“ Origin games are traditionally a slow and low grind, but 2021 was different.”

Whatever happened to the incredible pace of Origin games where your lungs are burning & legs are jelly yadda yadda?

The ruck speed & number of play the balls is typically higher in Origin. It is most certainly not a slow & low grind.

As for last year’s Qld team being “worst ever”: that was a throwaway line from some knucklehead on a panel show. A lot has been made of a little; repeatedly on that one.

Origin is hard, a sweep is harder: seven talking points for State of Origin 2021

Don’t sack your dealer until you get another one.

Yes but they had a line in the sandPAPER see? It’s an important yet subtle difference…

Vaughan starts the BBQs. Lodge finishes them.

Seeing as you’re in Singapore I’m happy to collect the fines on your behalf & mail them across.

PS Postage Stamps ain’t cheap these days.

He’ll definitely get a gig. Just on 50% of his current contract.

'Stupid and irresponsible': Vaughan says sorry after party costs him $750,000 contract

Well; Leichhardt Oval is next door to The Callan Park Funny-Farm…

It’s a club tradition!

'Stupid and irresponsible': Vaughan says sorry after party costs him $750,000 contract

Zero Chance.

There’d be clauses in every playing contract re: off field breaches, game into disrepute yadda yadda. It’s 2021. NRL & Clubs have been burned too many times. No way they’d sack him & leave themselves in anyway exposed.

Time for Vaughan to find a new club. Could actually be good for him. Get a two year deal & play out of his skin to try & get two more on a bigger money. Alas he’ll never ever get $750K again. That must’ve been based on his State of Origin selection (remember that??)
