I couldn’t agree more. How many wooden spoons does it take for a board to realise they’re the problem? Having said that I don’t think ex NSW premiers are good for anything other than god-fathering the NSW cartel.

Pressure Points: Benji is the unseen party in the Tigers' boardroom upheaval - but he might benefit the most from it

I think he meant as a coach not as a manager.

'I’ve got nothing to show for it': Neill opens up on bankruptcy after ex-Socceroo narrowly avoids jail

They’re going to have to draw a sternum line on the jerseys to make this work. You can’t expect players to just know where the sternum is, in the heat of a game.

'Can of worms': Rugby Australia introduce radical tackle law reform to protect players

I’ve just come back from an x-ray ordered by my chiro. There was shocking wear and tear on my back and leg joints, which I’m told it’s going to come and get me badly within a decade. Will there come a day when people like me sue the codes? Codes, plural, in my case because I played three of them, up to first grade.

Vickery and Henson join list of legends in major concussion lawsuit against World Rugby

My daughter bought me a 4x brewery tour for Father’s Day. Seems like they only make 4x one day a week, the rest of the days they’re doing contract brewing for all sorts of craft beers. However the old formula XXX brew isn’t too bad I discovered; they should unleash it on the world

Madge is an outstanding choice for the Blues – but only if he embraces the difference of rep footy

The only way that could happen is if it was sold was an anti-AFL consortium. My enemy’s enemy is my friend…

Actually it’s a step down, for sure.

Cash-strapped Rugby Australia sign $80m debt deal to help give game second life ahead of Lions, World Cups

True for established business, not startups. However we can assume RA is an established business, sort of. Although it’s almost at an administration point then reset. There I said it….

'Thank f--k': Why RA's new chairman has brought 'hope at last' - and won't be scared of tough calls

Often an exec chair just takes on just one of the CEO’s role where the CEO has a weakness through lack of talent or experience

'Thank f--k': Why RA's new chairman has brought 'hope at last' - and won't be scared of tough calls

The last time I critiqued the tech here they shut me down. Lazy owners sitting on the asset

'Thank f--k': Why RA's new chairman has brought 'hope at last' - and won't be scared of tough calls

I think they’re confused about what a chair is. He isn’t “the man in charge”. He’s the CEO’s boss in an HR sense and mentor, and he manages the board process. Anything else gets us right back to where we just left.

'Thank f--k': Why RA's new chairman has brought 'hope at last' - and won't be scared of tough calls

It looked to me like RA hasn’t really factored in the key stakeholder into their actions, the fans, especially the rusted on ones here. They’re very vocal. I understand it’s hard to keep everyone happy with your actions and decisions, but at the very least you’ve got to communicate what you’re doing and why. Sacking Rennie and hiring Eddie was clearly a high risk decision because it exposed RA to the ire of the fans. Poor judgement. Even if the chair tabled the motion, the whole board voted for it, so they all should go. To be replaced with folk with a better understanding of risk, and more independence from a dominant chair.

ANALYSIS: McLennan's fatal blind spot, and why his exit leaves Australian rugby in a better place and a worse one

Well it worked. I don’t give a stuff after barely skimming that article. No one knows what the future will bring, and their prognostics look and feel self serving, so I’m just going to sit back and wait for the war to be over. Hopefully in 5 or 10 years or so we can watch some good football

States not RA the issue Australian rugby is facing as Wallabies great calls on reform measures to be backed

In Vegas per chance?

Don't mention the war chest: NRL gearing up for rugby raid makes strategic sense but won’t change much

NZ rugby did better with Thorn and SBW. Maybe the league clubs should raid the all blacks instead and do us all a favour

Let’s call it the “zero magic round”

COMMENT: Congratulations, AFL - 'Opening Round' is the dumbest thing you've ever done

Get out, I’ve never heard such rubbish. How dumb do they think we are?

They don’t call him the big show for nothing. Maybe he has to wear a camel back full of staminade for the semi?

True but they didn’t actually need the new stadiums. That was a freebie you’d take if you could. Football needs quality it doesn’t currently have. Thats for the code to figure out for itself.

Can Matildas' continued sell-outs prove the genius behind Ange's drive for change in Australian football?

If your solution requires politicians, no matter what the problem, you’re up the proverbial creek.
