Until they actually embrace Indigenous talent and signing some players of substance I don’t think they should wear the jersey. I know it makes them millions so they won’t stop but that’s the point I’m at.

Exclusive: 'I back him 1000%' - RA chair endorses Eddie's 'bold, brave' Wallabies selection for RWC

I have a problem with the trip to Arnhem land, because it’s all about optics and not substance. He goes to an Aboriginal community in NT for a photo but won’t go to one in NSW so to sign some of the best athletes in the world. I’m sorry but I’m going to criticise that kind of hypocrisy, if he is not going to give my kids the same opportunity as kids in Sydney don’t get the photos and wear the shirts, simple.

Well said Jane.

Crocs, snakes and bonding: Inside the Wallabies' camp and why Eddie took them back to where it all began

Exactly Jane, I’m so off the jerseys and boomerangs if they don’t back it up.

Can’t wait to see the Kangaroos and Jillaroos play again, they are such DEADLY teams. It’s so good for my kids to see Aboriginals represent Australia.

World Cup Final rematch to headline Pacific Championships as international RL returns to Australia

So Rugby Australia will go into an Aboriginal community for a photo op but not to sign a player?

The biggest difference between League and Union is cultural, and I think it is now worse than ever. in NSW at least, if you do not go to an expensive Private School you aren’t given a look in. Which means that you are either from a wealthy family or one of the handful of kids that get a scholarship (who most end up going back to RL as they feel more at home like Connor Watson or Cam Murray), to be looked at by RU. Problem is a lot of talented players then go overlooked by Rugby just because they do not have enough money to go to a rugby School or are ineligble for a scholarship as they might have misbehaved as a kid. Until Rugby builds a more accepting culture the talent pool will continue to shrink.

Take the blinkers off - Rugby League players can add great value to the Wallabies

A team playing in Bathurst? I like the sound of that!
Also I would have the western Sydney team playing and Training in Penrith for the great facilities.
Overall an article I see you have worked hard on se well done.

How a new NRC could help save rugby in Australia and what it could look like

The funny thing is the tactics are not working as well anymore, those comments were the most outlandish yet and only Danny Wielder and the Daily Mail printed them, he has had his flash in the pan and people don’t care again, like the Waratahs crowds, they get less every week.

McLennan treading fine line between ringmaster and clown with snarky rants when rugby needs more from chairman

I find it strange that the Chair managed to get himself in the media every second day yet not once did he ever think to talk up Super Rugby.

How will Super Rugby Pacific be run in 2024 and why do we still know nothing about it?

Yet you are reading her article? Mary is a champion of all women’s sports and it’s because of writers like her that our daughters believe that they can play sports as a profession if they’re good enough. You haven’t heard of her cause she’s a woman from western Sydney but it doesn’t mean she’s wrong. I’m sure she appreciates your readership.

Rugby living rent free in NRL's head but childish chairmen of both codes raise questions on governance issues

Great article Mary, do you know if Rugby is going to invest any of that surplus into growing Aboriginal participation? Because at the moment less and less kids out this way are playing union.

Rugby living rent free in NRL's head but childish chairmen of both codes raise questions on governance issues

The NRL have had a 20 percent rise in crowds and ratings, 300 kids tried out for a NSW cup team this year. I’m not sure they care about Union atm, only the talking heads on Fox Who deal In fake outrage.

'The NRL has lost their mind': RA chair fires back after Suaalii attack as another NRL star's interest confirmed

RA keep misunderstanding the Australian audience, yes we love the Wallabies but more than that we love a team that we can cheer on week in week out, players that we can pin our hopes on. When the Brumbies flew over to NZ in what should have been a cracker and just decided that they would sit out their best players it spoke volumes that Super Rugby is not a comp where passion exists. The problem is for two decades the ARU kept putting the Wallabies above all else and the game went backwards here. For better or worse we have tied our horse to New Zealand it is time to really start marketing SR as the premier comp in World Rugby not just a trial run for Test Matches or a poor cousin to the NRL.

The Wrap: Super Rugby's two-speed expansion so far provides multiple headaches

Railway is long gone mate, they all just play for the Panthers in town, my boy is with the Bulldogs now so he plays in Sydney.

On a global scale, Australian rugby's war with rugby league is meaningless

I can only speak for the aboriginal kids in my community and none of them play union anymore.

They all play for the Panthers now mate.

On a global scale, Australian rugby's war with rugby league is meaningless

I really don’t understand your overall point? Yes rugby is big globally, but our market is here in Australia. And we have one of the best club RUGBY tournaments operating here. The kids here in Bathurst don’t care about Newlands or Twickenham, they care about the club they can watch week in week out. Rugby needs to engage with people here and stop explaining to people how good it is out there.

They could have Latrell cheaper than this, what a horrendous signing.

'Back home': 19-year-old 'freak' NRL star signs multimillion deal with Rugby Australia

is there anything in this CBA or announcements about getting more Aboriginal kids playing Rugby Christie? Or are they just going to let them keep leaving, like the 10 kids that left Union to play League this season in Bathurst alone. 10!

RA open to Super salary cap increase, NRL stars, but says 'focus' is on grassroots as CBA announced

You play a game on sacred land you can be quiet for five minutes while the owners of the land welcome you.

Where do we find the positives from an A-League season not going to plan?

I’m sorry I have to push back here, the situation at Penrith was horrendous, something I personally have dealt with and my wife and kids too, but the kid was 15? What do you want the NRL to do? My son now played league and the sport are so supportive of him and his background and I think the condemnation of this confused and racist kid has been pretty swift and strong too. Soccer fans actually shouted down a proud dharug woman doing a welcome to country. I think football does some great things in this country but before you throw stones you need to check your glass house.

Where do we find the positives from an A-League season not going to plan?

“I haven’t heard anything from Eddie. I haven’t heard from anyone, really.

“I’m not someone who will say, ‘I’m happy to win a few comps and then go somewhere else’. This club means too much to me to just tick off a few comps and then leave.

Doesn’t spund particularly promising, but I admire how many articles you can pump out about 1 NRL player.

Rugby News: NRL gun leaves door ajar to join Wallabies ahead of RWC, Samu set for French move

I really hope that the NRL can get this right and bring everyone along on this journey because when they get it right it’s pretty special. When I see a bus full of kids prepared to travel
16 hours from Bathurst to Queensland for the Indigenous all stars game with beaming smiles I know that the players and the game have got it right, I hope that they can get the pride round concept right also

Why NRL should NOT have a Pride Round until it means more than a chance to sell rainbow merchandise
