To all Kiwis showing moral outrage at Swain “attacking the leg”, what happened to “we’re not playing tiddlywinks bro”?

NZ View: 'Eight-week ban' wanted for 'full on grub'. While we rage at ref, Kiwis blow up at Wallabies 'villain'

Mate the Kiwis cried and bleated like lost sheep when their beloved AllBlacks held on for a draw in Bledisloe 1. Their whining after that game far surpassed anythingon this thread, and it wasn’t even a loss. For heavens sake, much of the wailing on this thread is just from Kiwis with nothing better to do. They are best ignored.

Argentina score historic win over Wallabies

Dumb rugby by the Wallabies, kicking possession away when they’ve had so little of it. And they make inroads when they have the ball in hand….Why. why???

It might have something to do with the fact that some contributors to this site use every article, regardless of its contents, as an excuse to give their parochial opinion on how superior the AIG set-up is to to the Qantas set-up, or as an excuse to have some cheap shot at the wallabies players group or management. The relentless, and often completely irrelevant, Kiwi self promotion gets extremely tiresome, and no doubt some will react poorly to that from time to time. If you don’t like the response that you sometimes receive to your posts, perhaps you and your kind will take some responsibility for the future content thereof. Yes, we accept that the AIG’s are a good rugby team, but its not as simple as AIG good, Qantas bad, and every post need not be a reminder of supposedly how superior the Kiwi set-up is to everyone else.

Kurtley Beale's career in limbo

Wallabies wilt under late Boks surge

I could try to explain, but I’m sure it would be a waste of time. It seems your level of comprehension is pretty basic. How anything I posted could possibly be construed as being a sore loser, is quite beyond me. And as for telling me to pull myself together, well what thats got to do with anything is quite mystifying. Perhaps you’d care to explain, rather than stringing together a few meaningless phrases. Or do you just get your cheap thrills by trolling Australian rugby sites and gloating when the national team loses. It would be a sad life should that be the case, wouldn’t it Wii?

Wallabies wilt under late Boks surge

Too aggressive. Settle it.

Wallabies wilt under late Boks surge

Well, you’ve got one thing right – your name is very appropriate.

When will Ewen McKenzie get the selection message?

I’d say more likely the NZ “hatred” of Cooper was simply driven by fear. Cooper had been in good form, and he and the younger generation of Wallabies had rolled the AB’s in HK in the lead up to the WC. This made the Kiwis fearful, and they responded poorly. As it turned out, they need not have been so fearful, however mass hysteria had taken hold, and proved difficult to shift. All the BS about a “cheap shot” on McCaw is just that. McCaw clearly started it, and then he and the NZ fanbois bleated like sheep when he copped it in return. Never has so much been made of so little on the rugby field.

Cooper hopes for Bledisloe rugby nod

A measure of how much better Cooper is than Foley is the different standards of accountability applied that are applied to both. Whilst people seem to be happy enough to say that Foley is more stable and secure than Cooper, one can imagine the headlines if Cooper had turned in performances similar to those of Foley in recent tests. Why isnt anyone harping on about Foley dropping a high ball cold, missing tackles, ignoring support and bombing tries or poor option taking, being caught in possession and turning over the ball, erratic passing etc etc? Any mistake Cooper makes, and all 10’s make mistakes during the course of a game, is seized upon by his detractors, and made the centre-piece of an article.

Cooper hopes for Bledisloe rugby nod

Yes it would be sad to have so little that you have to live vicariously through the deeds of a sporting team….

[VIDEO] All Blacks vs Wallabies: 2014 Bledisloe Cup highlights, scores, blog

Try to remove the chip of your shoulder. Its the Kiwis that are doing the pathetic sledging, harping on about how the wallabies couldnt beat them even though they were robbed by the ref. The amount of wailing coming from the Hobbit Isles is astounding. Get over it you kiwis, rugby is a game, the AIG’s are a sports team, winning or losing a rugby game doesnt define you as a nation, except in perhaps a negative way.

Ha ha keep telling yourself that John. The AIG team had no-one to blame but themselves for having two men binned. Its not a sign of greatness to have to resort to cynical professional fouls to stop other teams from scoring tries. Its nothing but a sign of desperation. The Wallabies tried hard, but made a number of very poor mistakes. Their main attacking weapon (Folau) had probably the worst game of rugby he’s played for Australia, White, the scrum half turned in a very poor performance, Beale didnt really provide any room for his outside backs, the AIG’s kicking game was better than the Wallabies, and the track was wet. Yet the AIG’s were unable to make the Australians pay. In fact they didnt even look like scoring a try. In my opinion there was nothing in the AIG performance that spoke of an aura or greatness. But feel free to believe whatever you want to. Its obviously very important to you.

Bledisloe Cup opener ends in tryless draw

Oh come on. You blokes were supposedly superior in every way, your forwards were apparently going to own the Australians, you supposedly had more class all across the field, and yet the best the mighty AIG’s mob can manage is to skulk back to the shaky isles having held on for draw. Yet you construe that as the Australians having blown it? Not to mention that the wet track should have been a massive advantage to the AIG’s.

Bledisloe Cup opener ends in tryless draw

Strange how the Kiwis are the first to tell everyone to suck it up, and move on when someone blames a referee for a loss, yet when their beloved AIG AllBlacks actually get reffed, and receive sanction for their repeated cynical infringements, they squeal like swine. If the AIG’s are as good as their fans and press would have us believe, then why must they continually resort to institutionalised cynicism to try to win games? As the side ages, and their “aura” dims, I expect to hear more wailing about refs from the other side of the Tasman.

Bledisloe Cup opener ends in tryless draw

Beale was, in my opinion, pretty ordinary last night. He turned over a bit of possession, threw a few poor passes and never really looked like creating much room for those outside of him. If the much maligned Cooper had played the same game that Beale did last night, there would be negative headlines in most of the papers….

Bledisloe Cup opener ends in tryless draw

Not a lot of positives for either side I would think.

Bledisloe Cup opener ends in tryless draw

Here’s a translation of the latest haka Pedro, choreographed about 10 years ago:

Let me become one with the land

This is our land that rumbles

And it’s my time! It’s my moment!

This defines us as the All Blacks

It’s my time! It’s my moment!

Our dominance

Our supremacy will triumph

And will be placed on high

Silver fern!

All Blacks!

Silver fern!

All Blacks!

So its not just a recently choreographed dance that makes good theatre, its a highly significant cultural occurrence that demands respect.

MORTLOCK: Kurtley set to repay Link's faith

Rugby players are moving all over the world in search of employment opportunities not available in their home country. In the same way, lots of Kiwis have come to Australia to avail themselves of economic opportunities not available in their home country. Put away your anti-Australian diatribe jack. Its disgraceful.

Brumbies knock out Chiefs in Super Rugby finals

Reds fan here Peter, but backing the Waratahs in the finals. I like the way they’ve been trying to play, its a good blend of brawn, brains and skill. Good luck to themand their fans in the finals.

Michael Cheika on the brink of making history at the Waratahs

I would argue that I’m not as mad as those that think a group of pre-pubescent boys and girls doing the haka is awesome, or being so arrogant to assume that they could teach a larger neighbours national team about pride and passion.

And as for you “Chief” well its not me giving myself as big noting title on this site (Chief indeed LOL). You must be a real keyboard warrior. Good on you champ, I mean Chief haha. Oh and thanks for the “typical Aussie” generalisation. I hope you are enjoying your stay here you ingrate.

The All Blacks domination continues

Oh please, turn it up. Are you suggesting that only Kiwis understand what pride and passion is really about? Try a grip on reality, rather than on your nether regions. When the inevtible happens, and Australia and/or the Boks roll the All Blacks what then for folks like you?

And besides, the AIG’s are already allotted more time pre game than any other country, what with the Kiwi national anthem, (in not one, but two languages – is this the longest rugby nation national anthem??) followed by the haka. The last thing non Kiwis want or need to be subjected to is more Kiwi self promotion…..

The All Blacks domination continues

You can’t win this one Jak, Kiwis are not just very good at rugby, they’re also very good at telling everyone they are good. They’re probably also world champions at righteous indignation, and at over-estimating their own self worth, and indeed the many virtues of their remote isles. They’d also rate up there if there was an international competition for living vicariously through the deeds of a sporting team. And should their be a competition for hypocrisy, well then they’d be contenders for sure. We’ve also seen they are quite good at interpretive dance. And have a read of these pages, they’d surely be world champion keyboard warriors wouldn’t they? So lets be a bit more charitable shall we? Clearly they are good at things other than rugby.

The All Blacks domination continues

Well Greg, you’ve got to love collective national-scale man love that’s displayed by the Kiwis. Its kind of cute the way grown Kiwis get all starry eyed, full of boyish enthusiasm and carried away with their hero worship of their national team. It harkens back to a gentler more innocent world doesn’t it?

The All Blacks domination continues

Yes i agree that Harris had his best game in a long time. Maybe his contract negotiations were taking a toll? I recall he dropped the ball with the line open in front of him a couple of times earlier in the year, his handling had (prior to this game) been poor and he had absolutely no thrust when he entered the line. But last night, his decision making and impact, particularly in the first half, were very good. His goal kicking was excellent as usual. i hadn’t considered him much of a loss when it was announced that he was off to the Rebels, however he was good for the Reds last night.

Simmons was great in the lineout, and strong around the field, and whilst Horwill dropped a bit of ball, he was powerful around the field. The whole pack seemed to have found another gear. I haven’t watched the Highlanders much this year, but was surprised that the Reds dominated their set piece so convincingly.

Lucas played well, and it was good to see him get the chance to show what he was capable of in the 10 jersey. I imagine however that had Cooper thrown the intercept at the end of the game, that we’d have heard a lot more about it….

And the young centre that came on (Kerevi) looked like someone that could provide something that the Reds have been missing in the backline for a while. He’s a big solid young fellow, and looked to have a bit of pace. It would be nice to see a bit more of him. I hope the Reds can retain some of the young guys in the squad. There is some exciting talent there.
