Why do you say Ben Smith is the worlds luckiest wing? He is the worlds best winger. Strong, quick, agile and vision. The best counter attacker in world rugby. What else do you need? Like how Read is the captain and McCaw and Carter are not included.

McCaw. He should retire right now, he has nothing left to achieve and is the greatest AB ever. Playing on is just tarnishing he legacy.

Australia need Clarke, without him they are poked. He’s the last of the generation of great players and they need to build the team around. If he goes, then the question needs to be made what was the point in sacrificing the careers of Hussey and Katich? He is a great player even if he is a knob.

If Australia win the Ashes, would Clarke retire?

Congrats on a great article. This sums up Mundine’s career. He’s a dreamer who will never challenge the worlds best.

Austin Trout’s rise reveals Anthony Mundine’s folly

Good article. Come playoff time LeBron will explode. With all the pressure off his shoulders he will have reset his goals to eclipse Jordan, something I expect to happen. Time will tell I guess.

Has LeBron James become boring to watch?

Mundine has done well as a boxer, making a name for himself in Australia. That’s where it ends I’m afraid. Although beating a future hall of famer in Mosley is the only decent win on his resume, Mosley is well past his best and openly said he only fought Mundine for the money. Mundine could do well in America if he fights lesser known fighters, however he has left it too late. He should have gone to the states four years ago and began making a name for himself, now he has left it too late. He has talked about fighting ‘the best’ well this will never happen and if it did Mayweather would make him look like a bum. Mundine has also said that he wants to fight Alvarez or Cotto. Both would dismantle him. Cotto in particular would beat him up so bad he wouldn’t fight again. In saying that I hope his gets a fight against someone like this so he loses then retires. Mundine has had a great Australian boxing career but was too scared to go to the US (in 2011 he was due to fight the well respected Austin Trout but backed out.)

Anthony Mundine moves up world boxing rankings

He’s stopped acting like a dickhead and his rugby has improved. Aussie need Quade Cooper to play to his potential if they have any chance of challenging teams such as South Africa and New Zealand, he is the key. With a firing Cooper at test level the Wallabies will become a much greater threat and may have some success in the next two years.

Is SBW really the best on the planet?

Hi Brian, I didn’t bring up those names you did. Thanks for reading.

What should be done with New Zealand cricket's alleged matchfixers?

Hi hog thanks for the comment, yes that’s exactly what the article says innocent till proven guilty.

What should be done with New Zealand cricket's alleged matchfixers?

Thanks for reading. Yes I failed to mention they all played for the same team in the ICL. Which brings the question what happens if these allegations are proven what happens to the libel case that Cairns won in 2012?

Who are the top 20 horses in Australian racing?

Unsure how Pruissance de Lune made the list seems to be alot of talk from Bossy with not alot of substance in the ones that matter. Buffering should be a bit higher in my opinion. 3 group 1s on the trot means it should be at least in the top 5. Good list though and good to see the kiwi Dundeel on top!

Who are the top 20 horses in Australian racing?

Muzz, I’d say #1 DCE, #2 Cronk only slightly above Carney at #3 , #4 Reynolds, #5 who cares/Mullen

Is SBW really the best on the planet?

Yeah top 12-15 I’d say. No denying he’s good just don’t believe he’s in the game’s elite that’s all.

Even then it is the recruiters opinion as to who they think is the best. Not all recruitment managers will agree on who is the best in the game. Cheers for reading.

Is SBW really the best on the planet?

Thanks for the post Jack Henry. Again everyone is entitled to their opinion. So here’s mine, Cooper Cronk should never be mentioned in the same breath as Smith, Thurston, Slater, Inglis, DCE even Gallen and possibly Hayne. Cronk is a solid player who tries his heart out, practices more than most and I take my hat off to him for that. Going from a utility at Melbourne to premiership and Australian halfback takes alot of talent and hardwork. But that’s where it ends for mine, he is very overrated when people mention the big 3 it makes me laugh and even more so when some say he’s a future immortal. The fact Cronk won the Dally M is a joke, its a given that he’s consistently good but without Slater or Smith what would he be? My answer is very average. The best player in the comp this year? please. Kieran Foran is even a player who I would rate more highly, he has just as much ticker and preparation but more talent. Cronk definitely in the top 12 players in the NRL but top 5? no way. So to say he is better than Sonny is ridiculous, although I would have no problem if you said the names Smith, Thurston, Inglis even Burgess…anyone but Cooper Cronk. This article was meant to ignite debate though so thanks for reading.

Is SBW really the best on the planet?

Thanks for the comment maximillian. The article is asking at this very point in time who is the best rugby league player in the world. Smith Thurston and Inglis deserve to be in the conversation maybe even the waning Slater but in my opinion its Williams. Your opinion differs and thats fine, cheers for reading.

Is SBW really the best on the planet?

Hi ph1lstar thanks for the comment. Unsure what you mean by a ‘bitchy’ headline? It is simply asking the question of whether he is the best player in the world. The article then says that he is.

Is SBW really the best on the planet?

Completely agree Damien. When the minor premiership was on the line SBW stood up and outplayed Burgess. Burgess outstanding in the RLWC SF but Sonny was not far behind.
