The AFL view his ability in a very different light. That is why North Melbourne received pick 3 in the draft as a compensation pick for losing him. The same level as Gold Coast received for Tom Lynch, a 50 goal a season goal kicker in 2018.

I was waiting for it to be awarded.

RT, what is your thoughts on those footy fans whingeing about the Swans getting support with their relocation from South Melbourne in 1982? How do you think those detractors are viewed by modern day footy fans? Okay, it took 23 years to win a flag, but it was the Swans first flag since 1934. I am also interested on your view on the Brisbane Lions history & their merger with Fitzroy? Our game commenced in 1896, long-term vision often gives you a better a view of the majority of situations.

'Dripping in inequality and stupidity': Footy is back... and so is AFL interference

Non footy areas? AFL interest has steadily increased in both the states that have the 1st & 3rd highest populations in Australia. We all know that both national sponsors & numerous media groups also notice that. Long-term footy purists may find a negative way to view this, but the players association, the new fans & all the various parties that can draw a professional income from our game our viewing this increased interest in a positive light. Keep looking backwards, if that is your preference.

Keep going Macca. Another half dozen times should do it !!!!

The AFL didn't need to rob the NRL's house with Opening Round - it's more than big enough already

Come on Macca, post your thoughts on this a few more times this week. It might have missed a few subscribers.

You will never put away the fact that there were spare seats at the NSW games. It will consume you forever!!!!

What have you been growing on your land? Because it sounds like you have been smoking it!!

AFL Oracle: There's always one! Which of last year's bottom five is September-bound in 2024?

So you believe in a Dogs premiership in 2024?

AFL Oracle: There's always one! Which of last year's bottom five is September-bound in 2024?

I agree, I wouldn’t think any other club was knocking on the door. I would have waited to see what the first 8-10 games produced. Good luck to him.

Pete, what is your honest prediction for Carlton finish in 2024?

The panel are a mixed bag? I have no doubt they are pointing at us & thinking the same thing !!!!

The Roar's AFL top 50 players, 10-1: Why the reigning Brownlow Medallist couldn't even crack the top five

Best comment on this article Rowds. Whatever a player’s intention are, if a player comes in with that much force, they must get it right. If they don’t and illegal contact occurs, then multiple week suspensions should be handed out. It’s not rocket science.

COMMENT: Angus Brayshaw's retirement isn't Brayden Maynard's fault - it's the AFL's

What type of bouquet did Patrick Cripps sent AhChee in 2022, Daisey’s or Daffodils? The AFL should have changed the rule after that incident & Brayshaw would probably still be playing in 2024. https://www.afl.com.au/news/817981/blues-huge-boost-captain-patrick-cripps-free-to-play-as-ban-overturned

That is sport SP. The 49ers dominated for most of the Superbowl but couldn’t finish it off. The Chiefs stayed in the game & got it done late. Just like the Panfers did in the NRL GF last year. Good teams often find a way to stay in the game & make their own luck 10 metres from the finishing line.

'Special to watch': David's demolition propels Australia to last-ball cliffhanger win after bowlers earn unwanted record

I have interest in the past & the future. That’s one of the many things that’s separates us.

'Disaster out here': Hawks rocked by training 'carnage' with two injured as pre-season from hell gets worse

Don, don’t let anyone discredit your opinions on ranking low-end teams. After all, any Dockers fan would have great insight as to what it takes to be one. Never won a premiership in 29 years of existence & have finished 12th or lower on the ladder all but once in the past 8 years. The Dockers have almost got it down to a science.

Yes they can. They are tough athletes aren’t they?

Is Opening Round actually a good idea by the AFL after all?

I hate to be the one to inform you, but winning drives & performance under pressure are two very critical aspects when rating a quarterback. When rating the greatest players in any sport, longevity is a huge factor. In the long history of NFL, Tom Brady ranks number 1 in each of the following categories. Wins: 251, Pro Bowls: 15, Super Bowl MVP Awards: 5 Completions: 7,753 Attempts: 12,050, Passing Yards: 89,214 & Passing Touchdowns: 649. How confident are you that Mahomes will be taking the majority of those records from him?

No expectations, no disappointments.

Cats toying with shock switch for All-Australian defender: 'It can only benefit the team'

Yes, we can all have our different views on how to play the lower order. But I am still shaking my head & looking at how the upper order played. Of our 7 recognised batsmen, only 27 runs were scored between 5 of them. And this was against a bowling attack that only included 1 bowler that has taken more than 100 test wickets. Great stuff West Indies, but pretty embarrassing effort by our batting lineup.

Trust the lower order or farm the strike? Smith follows Waugh path but tail ends poorly after his crucial late error

Could not have said it better myself.

Great rips into Smith's opener technique as Aussies crumble, Aus Day protest leads to pitch invader and Gabba lockout

Why change things now?
