The first half of the 3rd game was the Wobblies worst half of the series, the two sides never looked further apart – men v boys was the call from most.
You’d be hard pressed finding anyone saying that the sides were closer in Perth than NZ – but for a little resurgence after the game was already lost.

Seems to me the biggest change is the Boks struggling to play a side that plays for space. The Lions, Argies and Georgia all have one thing in common, and SAF looked very comfortable facing that – not so much these last two games.

His two attempts at short kicks over the top were too deep, most of his longer kicks were easily fielded with little or no kick pressure (not entirely his fault).
His goal kicking was how ever flawless, although only two being difficult.
His general play was ok, not outstanding but far from poor.
Considering it was a successful return after 5 years – it was a great performance (despite SAF being poor-average everywhere but the lineout and maul).
But too I think there is good reason why he was selected for this game and not one earlier. earlier

Any way personally I don’t care how the Boks play, sure it’s a bit like plus size models – you know, not as attractive as the rest and sometimes its better to just avert your eyes
But if they’re happy with expressing themselves that way and care not what the audience thinks – all the power to them.
