Not a Wade fan are we.

Standing up to the stumps a bad call by Matthew Wade

Great choice of captain. Love this guy. And I am a big fan of players that choose to keep their own number, even if it does mean going against traditon.

Cotchin takes reins at Tigers AFL club

Amazing horse but I agree I think this is going a bit too far.

The Cult of Black Caviar goes too far

Wow – massive call. I agree the missed stumping did hurt, and was one you would expect any first class keeper to take. But besides that, I dont think he has put a foot wrong.
Bit rough there David. If your selection policy was introduced we may have a different side every week..

Matthew Wade should be replaced as Test 'keeper

Grafter and Steve B, say it to him and then go 12 rounds with him. Then we may see you change your mind about him.

The sporting world needs more Danny Greens.

Green proves he's the ultimate professional

John and FrancisC – what I am saying is if you are happy to sit there at your computer and dig your boot into Lance Armstrong then you are no better a person than the one you are labelling Lance Armstrong as.
All the best with it.

ANDERSON: Lance Armstrong - acceptance, but where to from here

John and FrancisC – Please tell me how much both of you have done to not only make the sport of cycling the sport it is, and also what you have done to make the world a better place? I am just assuming what you have to say and the amount, that you have both done a lot?
I don’t live in a bubble, but perhaps those who live in a glass house shouldn’t throw stones? Because I get the feeling neither of you have lied or cheated in any form before?

ANDERSON: Lance Armstrong - acceptance, but where to from here

John I just think you are making some pretty big statements about a person you have never met. Feel free not to be a fan of Lance Armstrong, but enough is enough. No need to keep sinking the boot in.

ANDERSON: Lance Armstrong - acceptance, but where to from here

John and Langou – Feel free to be against Lance if you wish, I have no problem with that. Have either of you sat down with Lance and had a conversation with him about his life and everything that has happened? Until you do, I find it hard to make statements like you are both making.

And Langou – I never said it was it was “okay to lie, cheat, commit fraud, intimidate and bully other people as long as the percentage of fraudulent money made goes to charity,”

ANDERSON: Lance Armstrong - acceptance, but where to from here

Lance is the type of person that everyone wants to believe, over the years he has won the hearts and the respect of many, it still to me feels impossible to believe he is a ‘drug’ cheat. Even if Lance himself says he is, there is still that feeling inside me and I am sure many others where you want to believe it’s not true.
Despite the stripped wins and perhaps having the title of one of the world’s greatest cyclist stripped from him also, I don’t think he can ever have certain things stripped from him.
His charity work he has done, and his story which has no doubt inspired thousands of people are non drug related, whether he used or not, he is still an amazing person.
I will not jump off the Lance Armstrong bandwagon.

MIKE – When it is a first year side, basically an under-19 team, playing in the AFL the scoreboard isn’t used to gauge how the side is developing and the potential of it. I find it hard to believe that he (Choco) ‘must know something’ if not for family reasons or because he was unhappy that he wasn’t made senior coach, I’d lean more towards the chance there was a falling out between Choco and the Giants, that would make more sense than Choco not rating the side?

Floyd Calhoun – Floyd, not once did I say all high draft pick mid-fielders are going to be of the same quality as Cotchin. But I am definitely not ruling out the chance that the Giants will produce at least one if not more players of his quality, perhaps someone like Toby Greene may go on to become one of the best players of the competition. Who is to say he won’t? Feel free to write a piece about the other side of the argument.

Choco's exit a Giant gift to Cameron

Really good read there Andrew, and couldn’t agree more.
Nothing worse then when a club all of a sudden devalues a player once they have left the club, yet as you said when they wanted a trade for them they wanted someone or something big. Bit irish!

Collingwood turns on its own players

CHRISTO THE DADDYO – Perhaps so, but that unlikely when you look over the Giants’ impressive and promising list. Plus if Wayne Carey said ‘Jeremy Cameron will be the best player in the AFL at some stage in his career’ and Richo and other have suggested he’ll be the next Wayne Carey and for Sheeds to say Toby Greene is probably the best first year player he has seen, especially his ability to win so much of the footy. It seems odd that Choco would believe the list isn’t up to it.

STRUMMER JONES – Big call yes, but a fair call. “lucky to make top eight if that’ is a bigger call I’d say.

TC – I agree it is a long way off, but I believe 2015-2018 will be the club’s first premiership window. No point making predications about finals or premierships for them in the next 12 months.

FRANKENCOW – Cheers mate. Free agents may play a big part in the Giants’ chance for a crack at a flag I agree. While homesickness and salary cap may be their worst enemies.

IAN – I feel from coaching staff to the overall playing list the Giants are ahead of the Suns, however in regards to location (Gold Coast!) and of course Gazza, the Suns are ahead in those two areas. It’s six of one and half a dozen the other really, but I personally believe the Giants are ahead.

TOM C – GWS need the lesser players to step up absolutely. It’s often the lesser players stepping up that help sides go that extra mile to taste premiership success. And I couldn’t agree more that this side has uncapped potential in how good it could be.

CHRISTO THE DADDYO – Your last point is why I looked at 2015 and mentioned the need of mature age players around that time to make sure the club had the right mix of players.
Of course the Giants won’t have it yet, they have just finished their first season in the AFL!

Choco's exit a Giant gift to Cameron

Very good player and will make a very good coach. If Heart don’t play finals, it will not be due to Aloisi.

John Aloisi to be given baptism of fire

I remember sitting in on the 2009 Grand final press conference and Ross Lyon stating the club would not try and keep players at the club that weren’t interested in being there…. not long after Luke Ball wished to be traded, going against his word Ross Lyon then tried to keep him, before stuffing things up and the club received nothing for Ball! Unforgivable! I am glad that this time the club stuck by its policy that no one player is bigger than the club. It was a big moment for the club.
I have no doubt Watters is the perfect coach to develop the young group we have and help the club take out its second premiership.

Goddard's move to Essendon the right choice

Thanks Dylan, appreciate it.

Westy – With the likes of McEvoy, Armitage, Geary, Saad, Ledger and co the future looks bright, especially with watters at the helm.
I do believe Siposs grew up as a Saints supporter and wanted to go to the Saints, basically the opposite of Goddard really.

Goddard's move to Essendon the right choice

Westy – As a Saints supporter it hurts to see him go, but I think it will be good for St Kilda in some ways. I would love to see Siposs tried in a similar role to Goddard.

Goddard's move to Essendon the right choice

Not going to waste my time. Enjoy arguing everyone elses points Macca. good luck

Bit hard to have more tackles when you have the ball more, whether it be 1% more or 30% more.

Speedy Saints shock AFL's Blues

Not sure how it doesn’t Macca, but okay. Have a good one.

More tackles because they had less of the ball in this case Macca. Carlton looked flat, and weren’t the Carlton I have loved to watch this year.
To me Saints and Carlton switched roles on the night. Saints small forwards mirrored Carlton’s of the last few years and Carlton wasted easy opportunities , which the Saints do so often.

Saints came to play, Carlton didn’t.
