De Grootes second penalty was Antonio dropping his shoulder and pulling back making him collapse, France constantly impeded the NZ clear out with players on the wrong side and also checked kick chasers with impunity.

There’s some good young locks coming through, will be there in a couple of years- Gallagher at Crusaders, Holland at Highlanders along with Lord and Vaii and of course Scooter should create a bit of competition.

De Groote is a little naive at elite level and was unfairly pinged against SA and at least 1 of the penalties today.
It’s becoming more and more clear that refs are buckling under public whining and overly scrutinising the ABs without imposing the same level of scrutiny on the other team.
BTW, what happened with the directive to speed up proceedings?

I think Williams was thrown off his stride early by a couple of penalties against him, did think he came back into it and his running started to show – 2nd test though, I like the look after today of Williams and Newall coming on off the bench.

The second one was the side the cameras were on and straight away you could clearly see Nepos jersey being pulled down and back by the Aus LH.
