Just heard Lezana will be the starting 8 on Saturday. Facunda Isa would be at the bench for later impact.

Can the Pumas win the Tri Nations?

I guess, Nico will be fit next Saturday. I believe the question is whether Pumas will be fit for next Saturday. Possibly, Ledesma will place 10 changes to the starting team. Personally, I will like to see Miotti some good long time on Saturday, also a great fly half.

Can the Pumas win the Tri Nations?

Greetings from Buenos Aires, GoldenEye. A good mate of mine from Sydney is confident that Wallabies will win as Pumas may not keep tackling/defending for 160 minutes. Well, there is some bad news for my good friend, Pumas are rested and ready to keep on tackling/defending and attacking. Besides, there are more than 40 Pumas in Australia (even when it is very likely that Ledesma would not make many changes to the starting XV last Saturday). At any rate, don’t reckon Argentina will make you cry this Saturday, but there is no doubt it will be a great game. IMO, Pumas by 13 points, though. Cheers

The quick questions: Don’t cry for me, Argentina

Men in blue and white, I guess…

Door open for Australia after Pumas put All Blacks to the sword

Agreed Tony. Koroibete displayed great rugby too. Certainly, forwards were really neat as well. Well, after Pumas win this afternoon here in Argentina (with God speed), I’ll buy your good men in gold a good malbec. Cheers mate.

Wallabies beat All Blacks after dominant second half in Bledisloe 1

Congrats, Wallabies! O’Connor, White and Beale just superb.

Wallabies beat All Blacks after dominant second half in Bledisloe 1

Interesting… Again, I have a different view on Sanchez’ game last Saturday. No doubt Sanchez is world class and I want him playing with Los Pumas, always. Yet, even Ledesma said Sanchez was not in form on Saturday. Orlando, De la Fuente, Bofelli, Moyano and Moroni displayed they were in form.

The Wrap: Are the Wallabies cursed? Too right they are

Agreed, CR. This has been and shall be an intense year for Jaguares and for Pumas; hope they may recover before landing in Japan, but after Australia they fly back to Argentina to play teh Boks in Salta. They they fly to South Africa to play a friendly match…, they they hop again to a plane to regroup/recover in Australia and finally flying to Japan (bewildering…). Besides, IMO Sanchez played below par on Saturday. It would be great to see Urdapilleta (hopefully against Boks in Salta) playing fly-half for Pumas. He can bring a better dynamic for the whole team (as he does at Castres).

The Wrap: Are the Wallabies cursed? Too right they are

Hi MM, My guess is that Mario Ledesma wants to keep the Jags momentum. Besides, Facundo Isa, Herrera and Santiago Cordero shall be more rested for next week in Australia; and then back in Argentina to face SA. Going to the stadium today. no doubt it will be a cracker!!! Today: Pumas by 7. Cheers

Four key match-ups: Argentina vs New Zealand

In my case, Wales vs England in Jan 1981 at Arms Park, also standing behind the posts with Welsh fans, lots of beer and other dubious stuff. Gareth Davies and JPR Williams at their best, 21 – 19. Unforgettable.

The Rugby Championship Week 1: Blow out the cobwebs

My Superbru guru says: Wallbies by 5, Pumas by 10 (on their 29th!!!). Cheers

Or like Arms Park, Cardiff, back in the day!!!

Fully agree with these words. And also have to respectfully disagree with the article for the same reasons. Cheers

Why Argentina needs to get the import-export balance right

Good article, IW. I guess the main impediment for a second Argentina SR team is funding. As you may know, Argentina is going through political- economics complex issues. Its currency recently endured a huge devaluation. Keeping a competitive SR team costs between 9 and 15 million US dollars a year. Slitting that money between Jaguares and another team at this local political-juncture could be suicidal. National presidential elections shall be taking place in late October 2019. Perhaps after elections or perhaps a year after things could be more clear for UAR to suggest the inception of an additional SR team. Today is to early to think about it. At any rate, Cordoba or Mendoza would be the best locations for this new team. Mendoza better located for flights getting into Santiago and then a short flight to Mendoza. Dream is cheap! Haha. Thanks for the good article.

Argentina's case for a second Super Rugby franchise

No doubt Jags have learnt a lot at ChCh, the hard way, still important step forward. Vamos Jaguares!

Super Rugby final: A rocky journey to Christchurch

Many thanks Brett, Nobes, Harry, Digger and Geoff for making every Wednesday evening an entertaining time for me. I really enjoy reading your predictions and your comments. This has been a terrific year to SR. For me and those from Argentina and Latin America possibly better, Jaguares are in a great form. I am blessed for being in Christchurch with mu son waiting for Saturday to come. Jaguares will win for 6 points (consistent prediction in my Superbru). Creevy to score the first try at min 16. This time Nobes, Brett and Harry shall get it right. Thanks again mates, specially you Brett for our weekly amusement. Cheers!
