I don’t have fond memories of Pim. It seems he may be applying the same ” unravelling ” technique to Oman as he did to us. I felt extreme confidence the moment i saw his name on the team sheet.

Nemesis…..you think the “poor crowd ” comment just could have been a tad toungue in cheek ?

Not so. It is sometimes much easier to try routines out against an opposition who are not up in your face. On the flip side of the coin, it’s useful to be stretched…and make no mistake…we will be.

On the subject of age and injuries, i’ve noticed the amount of injuries escalating in recent times right across the league. What’s causing this ? Are our playing surfaces too hard on the body ? Is it poor preparation ? The club medics do a wonderful job getting players back on the park as soon as they do , but it leaves me in a quandary as to the rapid wear and tear on players.

Who is this ” Non event, idiot ? ”

Scottish commentator unloads on "Mickey Mouse" Socceroos over Tom Rogic's availability

Pretty fair call. I can’t help feel that Joyce isn’t the man for the job also.

The story so far

Maybe Rogic and Leckie as the 2 rotational number 10’s.

Insights into the Socceroos' style of play under Graham Arnold

In the future, i would not be surprised if we saw Boyle move into the centre. He’s in there more than not anyway. Arzani was at his best when he had Fornaroli inside him. That combination was broken up too soon. At some point i expect to see Arzani, Boyle and Mabil as the front 3.

Jurman’s form before he departed from sydney was very, very good as well. I can imagine O’Neill getting a run soon. It all has this air of a possible Sydney FC reunion under Arnie. Just joking….but……it’s not that hard to imagine.

It’s going to get interesting with Grant in the squad. I haven’t been a fan of Risdon, but admit that he has improved a lot recently. The 2 that bother me most are Juric and Amini. I know it’s such early days yet, but Amini’s lack of speed in recovery looks like an exploit waiting to happen.

I find it hard to judge Corica and Muscat, because in a sense, they both got ready made teams handed to them on a plate. I’d like to see Muscat at another club , having to build from scratch. Then i’d get a clear picture. But for now, he just comes across as a total knob.

Total bloody cobblers. In any broadcast situation, you’d have a ” live feed ” monitor…and that wouldn’t be affected by this ridiculous software. I like the VAR technology in football. In cricket, it’s a joke. How the software can monitor the ever changing conditions of the pitch in ” real time ‘ ? Really. Crap it can.

FFA confirms VAR got it wrong

As a Wanderers fan. I am gutted. For the obvious reasons. First, look at the squad Poppa left him. Are you kidding ? Half of that initial squad should give thanks for being allowed on the pitch. That line up was a turd you couldn’t polish. WHY ? Was Poppa’s hands tied so tightly behind his back that he couldn’t make a decision ?…….Or… do we look at the top of the totem pole ?…….Well……i think that’s where the problem may lay. Dump that bumbling CEO Wanderers, as fast as your little pinkies can type.

Josep Gombau out as Wanderers coach

As they say in the old country…Clenched fist ..” My arse ! “… Not a jets supporter but have eyes and boxing experience. Ruling incorrect as charged. Point is the ref should have addressed the first foul. Which was committed by Buijs.

If Chris Beath is the best ref we have………then we’re in serious amounts of excrement.

Boogard has actually improved quite a lot. He seems to have lost his ability to impersonate Matt Simon and keep his head on the game. I quite like the pairing of Boogard and NTS.

It always looks that way , doesn’t it ?

Hahaha…I don’t get the claims by the commentators saying the statisticians name Nabboutt as the number 1 offside offender….compared to Berisha ?…Something won’t let me believe that.

Yes , that 6 minutes added to my suspicion of favouritism.

Exactly. The reason he doesn’t score goals is because that’s not his job. His job is to bulldoze, mame and generally run around like a chook with it’s head cut off. Carney, on the other hand, should be going to Russia.

We can only hope that once the 2nd tier league eventuates, the same demotion / promotion act will apply to the refs as well. 3 bad calls in a game and next week you’re demoted and paid accordingly.( for example ). The Donovan send off being the latest example of poor refereeing in point. One HUGE peeve is players intentionally running into stationary opposition players AND WINNING THE FOUL !.. I watch this week in and week out, to the point where i’m tearing my hair out. This crap is totally unbelievable. I feel it may have to get to a point where refs and linesmen are removed from the game entirely and have them replaced with automated cameras with a couple of operators overseeing the functions.

I agree completely. I’ve always been a fan of Connor Pain. Now with De Silva moving the ball around so nicely, Tim would make the perfect spearhead.

Cahill leaves City: Why, how, and what next?

A Gombau fan. He fits in really well with the culture. He displays great passion. Actually, i think he’s just an aussie with a funny accent.

The idea of a ” Boz and Foz ” team could be entertaining.
