Schoup is young and naive, yet the ideal shape and weight. I wonder if the right coach could make some small tweaks in his technique in order to bring him up a notch or two. Given how weak the coaching stocks are perhaps Mike Cron could travel the country providing some insights for SR clubs.

Five things: The Reds have flipped the script - and it promises to be rewarded at the Wallabies selection table

The look on the poor Fijian prop’s face was priceless when he was subbed before a scrum on Brumbies 22. He had just smashed them twice!

I won’t keep boring everyone with bashing Slipper but he is past it. It will be interesting to see if Schmidt keeps him or goes for Schoup and Sio. Slips will be well past it come BIL.

The Rebels board has fallen foul of the ATO. The Directors are liable, personally for over $11m. This could quite easily see one or more bankrupt, and frankly I don’t care. Steal from the ATO and you are stealing from me.

This figure of investing $25m over 5 years is being bandied around. Where was this enthusiasm beforehand?

He’s a bit tall for a prop, but I’ll take him anyway 😊

'Toughest decision': Wallaby's blunt admission over form as Force land Brumbies lock, teammate brought to tears

And what has happened in parallel is the Wallabies have got worse.

While the Brumbies have remained the better team the national team has suffered. It has happened for so long that a connection cannot be ignored.

I am not blaming the Brumbies. But the status quo is broken and a style similar to that of the NZR and IRFU has brought success too good to be ignored.

Swain’s move is a private sector equivalent of the AFL’s draft picks, where talent is spread to allow a rising tide to lift all boats.

I read your “hmm” as inferring better players are best suited to remain with better teams?
Many have lauded NZR and Ireland for their managing and distribution of players. Swain’s move spreads talent, as will the Rebels squad if MR is disbanded (vast majority will remain here).
A rising tide lifts all boats.

Interesting, good to hear.

'I fell over the line well, didn't I?': Hooper scores maiden sevens try on perfect day for Aussie men and women

I’m with RA and the ATO.

The $25m figure is being thrown around by people who stand to lose $11.5 million if Rebels enter administration.

With a change to o’seas selection rules, losing Rebels will not lower WBs standards vs Lions and at WC.

Such an opportunity to properly “reset” in business are rare to come by.

Rebels face more hurdles despite $25m rescue plan, call on RA to show support and reveal hand as court battle looms

He must be making a difference. It was boys vs men when they played Argies in Perth.

LSL won’t go north. Happily break the bank for him

Not commenting on if Waugh’s right or wring, but it’ll be at least 18 months until he wakes up and looks forward to going to work.

We had a good chance last week and that put the monkey on our back. 😊
We have the cattle.

The Roar's Super Rugby expert tips and predictions, Round 11: Are the Aussie sides in for an old-fashioned NZ trip to hell?

I agree the cupboard does not look enticing. But there are stocks. Select Schoup. Tell him he’s no.1 and he has chance to make the shirt his own. And pick Sio to back him up. I think this scenario fits the parameters Schmidt has inferred. If Sio is a no then put Slipper on the bench, but start pumping up Schoup’s tyres.

We are trying to replace a prop who is not dominant and leaks penalties. The bar is pretty low.

Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation

Slipper is a busted flush.
Yes he’s solid, stoic, been a true servant to the game. But lets move on. Signs were there in NH tour 2022 when he was never dominant and killed momentum by being a penalty magnet.

Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation

How many headlines do we see stating a bowler’s great achievements, or has broken yet another record? Very, very few.

Death bowling is when bowlers go under the micro scope. 2 overs of 20.

Cricket's long-standing battle between bat and ball: Is the IPL money-driven 'show' ruining the contest of the game?

“stay process-driven” – Like it. No matter how bad you might be, anyone can do this.

Often in sport the team that remains disciplined and sticks to their strategy will defeat the “better” team.

Sydney-born England rugby star tasered twice before being arrested after going ballistic at Spanish bar

Againagain.
Why in god’s name would someone say “without bias”, without meaning it?

I am not in the business of one eyed soundbites, and I don’t appreciate the insinuation that I am unable to make a decision without bias.

Exclusive: Wallabies star weighing up big move to England

I’ve done that for months already! 😊

Exclusive: Wallabies star weighing up big move to England

As long as WBs are relying on Slipper they will struggle. He’s not world class. He doesn’t dominate. He coughs up penalties.

On the verge of becoming rugby’s equivalent of David Warner.

Who else? I’m not sure, but that doesn’t excuse hanging on to a status quo.

Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope

Christy.
I think sone perspective needed.

He was never a “Wallabies star”.

“Only centre from last year’s World Cup campaign” ….sadly that WC is no measure of any of the squad’s abilities.

Frankly, and this is genuinely without bias, I could see Stewart do a good job for WBs.

What’s in a name? The all-time great Steve XI

Well done Brumbies. Great job. (That short side try is my try of the season).

Brumbies knock over Hurricanes in statement win as Wright shines again behind forward pack

I really liked how Rodda was at times leading the chat with the forwards. Tackle, get up, tackle again, takes an experienced voice to hit home with youngsters.
