I told you he’s overrated Macca. He’s expected to kick 125 goals a season 😛

AFL News: Collingwood calls for AFL to introduce premiership rings, Prestia eyes return for Tigers

So many non stories in the AFL. Seems like they have more journos than players at times.

Massive overreaction to Sam Draper non-story proves players can't even enjoy harmless fun anymore

Getting better as you say. Not sure it gives us the best balance.

Six Points: Bevo's Bulldogs reach breaking point, dangerous tackle loophole must be closed, and 2024's worst coach-killer

Yep we had a long record of close wins and were looking to steal the luckiest team mantle from Collingwood. In the Adelaide game we didn’t appear to stick to the plan for some reason and let them kick the last 3 goals. Now we’re back to losing close games again.

If the delivery gets better they may take it to the level where they should absolutely be feared. What do you think of having both tdk and Pittonet in the side ? The same old question for the 3rd year running.

Yeah only Pies, but it’s the top 4 we need and want. It’s rare for a team to go all the way from outside the 4. And there were 2 teams that came from a long way back in Round 13 last year to make preliminaries.

Only difference being one is in his tenth year at the same club. The other is in his first.

Good but not match winning. I guess I see the way they are referred to now it’s like they’re going to have a 150 goal season as a pair. I’d like see that ???? or at least set it up so our other forwards take more advantage.

I wish the grand final was played at the end of July last year Macca 😁. Two big games against current top 4 teams in the next 2 weeks. Win both of those and I’ll be stoked. Would have been happy with 6-2 so we’re only one game off. At 5-3 we’re vulnerable to losing touch with the top 4.

They are on track for their best season so far. They’re good but yet to be great. One year of a finals appearance and currently 8th on the ladder. Teams consistently find ways to beat us despite how good the names on our list seem.

Right now you are correct but it’s only Round 8 and a long way to go. Big 2 games for the Blues coming up and they won’t start favourites. Must win at least one.

Footy Fix: The Dees prove they're legit - and show how they can overcome their finals curse

Maybe cut out some silly 50 metre penalties and the like and maybe they get into better position on occasions, but it will be impossible to get every decision right.

The McKay-Curnow double act constantly gets over-rated. We all see the potential of what could happen. But it rarely does. Our midfield was disappointing.

Didn’t even notice the commentary tbh. It becomes irrelevant when the game is on a knife edge. The less they impact on us watching the better.

One of many problems. They can’t be everywhere and get a 360 view. Sh.t happens.

I didn’t expect Carlton to win, definitely not against the Pies. And once the game got close I felt we were doomed. Pies are still the best at winning close games.

If we’re 5-5 in 2 weeks Macca we will be fighting just to make finals. Must win at least 1 of the next 2 games.

Umpires just pay what they see. They don’t have the benefit of different tv angles and slow motion replays. Get over it Brayden and Tim.

That’s harsh – but mostly true 😂

Footy Fix: Bad blunders, unsung heroes and THAT Nick Daicos moment - the 232-second story of another Pies-Blues classic

Our inability to win the ball and move it forward really stood out last night. With the players we have in the midfield we should do better. Just don’t seem to know how to win games of footy against the really good teams in these situations. Taking that into account we did well to stay in the game.

That’s Harry for you. Have to take the good with the bad. But he had plenty of mates.

Footy Fix: Bad blunders, unsung heroes and THAT Nick Daicos moment - the 232-second story of another Pies-Blues classic

Admittedly McKays decision and execution in the moment was awful. Opportunity missed and the ball didn’t go forward again.

Pies have the smarts. Cats have the smarts. Blues don’t and that’s the difference.

I like the changes. And sends a message that no loss is acceptable. 4 omissions were a rare thing in the past and even a 2 goal loss to the top team is no longer good enough. Thats where we want to be and those out will have to work harder to get back in.

Think the last show I saw was when Chris Judd was on and made a comment about training wheels 😂
