Dasilva, I understand where you are coming from and I largely agree with you. This article is designed to be a bit of a laugh. My title, and the reference to it in the article, are more to do with Pim’s response to the goal than to the actual response from the Australian media/public.
I don’t declare that Kewell is a legen on the basis of this performance. My point is that Kewell is a legend, and probably deserved more respect than was given to him in some sections of the media.

My opinion is that football has always been about drama and tension, and the unpredictable nature of the game. A low scoring game ads to this. While people who don’t like/understand the game make jokes about “thrilling nil-all draws”, the truth is, that a low scoring game can be enough to make you tear your hair out. I think Australia’s last match probably showed that.
