We do not want the 15 most talented players we want the 15 players who are the best in their positions. That shoehorning of players into positions they dont play…..most aggregious example was Dingo’s selection of JOC v the Lions…but Pocock’s selection at 8 for the featherweight Hooper was for longer and even more damaging…has almost destroyed Aust rugby. Well not almost….

Joe Schmidt's search for a 'cold-hearted bastard' - and the issue he'll lose most sleep over

Wallabies got to ’15 RWC final on back of Link’s efforts….before he was knifed by Hooper,Kurtley et al. The Clown then destroyed the Wallabies.Look out Argentina, altho they do have the cattle (pardon the pun) ,Ledesma’s foundations cannot resist the Clown for much longer. If RA were seriously considering bringing him back,
….the Board and the CEO should be culled.

'F---ing explain some of these decisions': Ex-Wallaby star's scathing Eddie critique, coach defends vision

Yeah, did Spiro ever describe the decision to play the fly-weight Hooper ,and relegate the World’s best 7 to play a ‘too small no 8’, as an ‘unbalancing’ of the Wbeez’ loose forward trio? And this went on for years!

SPIRO ZAVOS: Skelton a force of nature, All Blacks' strategic error that has put their World Cup in peril

Foley, you obs have forgotten his performances on the European Tour last year. I take it Eddie hasnt.Dont be silly now. Agree 100% re Barnes,he loves us.

'Whoever sacked Rennie, needs sacking': Eddie Jones wants you to 'pray' as his stock sinks faster than NZ economy

The half doesnt determine the game plan,…Eddie has said Possession is death. The problem is we are not SA. And it doesnt matter how many slow big bodies he puts in the team. What happened to the old Aust Wbeez way.He crafted the Japanese to use their pace n skills to retain the ball, and run the big boys around ,instead of attempting to match them in the collision. Of course our cattle dont have speed or skills except for say Fraser Mc (NOT Hoopers) , Harry Wilson and Marky Mark….By the way Hooper had a good game playing 6,while Jed blundered around like a slow old lock…not like an SA one.

All Blacks smash Wallabies to seal Bledisloe AGAIN as Eddie's pain grows after devastating injury to star prop

It is difficult to ‘just move on’ when the officiating team acted in such a dilatory fashion. We are not talking about the loss of the match (a diversion of the sore loser variety),we are talking about a player suffering a broken neck! How did they miss the Makalio tackle ? A tackle made infamous by the serial offender Folau Fainga’a and easily identified. As a result of that tackle Frizell’s tackle was a leading shoulder direct to the head . In this case Frizell maintained his height as Vest was felled ,and in these circumstances that was as dangerous as a player not dropping their height in the usual head clash scenario. Frizell then braces and drives forward. If he was completely passive he would have been bowled over and Vest’s neck may not have collapsed from the impact. The play continued for 2 phases and a penalty was blown. Vest is still on the ground and remains there. Now the TMO has plenty of time to have a look at the incident. He apparently blurts out ‘no foul play’ and that’s the end of it! The kiwis are very much mistaken if they think that is a good example of ‘timely determination’ of these matters. As I have said before, the audible gasp from the female broadcaster as she views the vision of his shoulder meeting Vest’s head says it all. As for the rest ,and all the other errors made by this team of officials, the old saying seems appropriate,’once is a mistake, twice is a choice’. But at least Smith got his win.

Wilson reveals Reds' rage over ref's 'ridiculous' and 'disrespectful' action as Vest suffered neck fracture

Mate, have a look at game video at 1:08:00….you will hear the gasp from the female commentator as ( on the replay) Frizell’s L shoulder makes direct contact with Vest’s head and his neck collapses. Of course she appreciates what she has just seen but has the good sense to say nothing ,just continues to prattle on,and makes no reference to it. I guess the pain was such that Vest wasnt able to raise his hands to his face and ensure that everyone in the stadium knew what occurred,a la Retallick tonite. But ,you are right , lets just see what action is taken against Frizell. Fortunately, there are civil proceedings which can be brought in matters like this. Lets hope that the citing authorities do their job. And that Vest’s injury isnt as bad as it may be.

'That's a big loss': Reds' season hanging by a thread after losing both captains, lock for season

Mayor,I have looked at it again too. Frizell lined him up and did the job.Report is Vest has a broken neck ,not shoulder. Dont know what view you found,,,maybe one put together for the TMO. There is no such thing as accidental head contact in Rugby unless it is friendly fire. I am almost sure if I look to see what happened to Tatey I will find an errant Kiwi shoulder, arm ,head or some other extremity. But I suppose the Reds can simply add Tatey and Vest to their list of ‘fantom concussions ‘.And have a look again at Wright’s try,his shoulder was fine until Renton’s knees arrived well in advance of the player. I wont mention the failure to pick up the forward pass, etc. The performance of Pickelhead and the TMO,I presume there was one, should be reviewed.

'That's a big loss': Reds' season hanging by a thread after losing both captains, lock for season

Oh come on,I am sure he is a nice bloke and that’s the way he plays. But should be no where near a Wallaby jersey. As Brockhoff said,”I dont blame you son,I blame the selectors.”

Wallabies Giteau Law power rankings: The FIVE overseas stars needed to win the World Cup

You obs didnt see the Saders v Chiefs game. Foketi ‘great vision for other runners’,like when he held onto the ball into contact and had to throw a fward pass to Gordon for his try. Got caught hogging the ball only moments before. And Dory ,how bout a little self editing? I dont think the Brums will be smarting, but it is you and the rest of the NSW media who have been talking up the Tars to win the comp for last month.

'Humble pie': Larkham's Brumbies spoil Waratahs party as young guns shine on Super Rugby debuts

There has long been a problem with the backrow balance…its name is Hooper. And the feeling of not seeing him bouncing off rucks and being run over was one of one of quiet satisfaction. Have a look at the backrow v SA in Adelaide this year. Go Fraser! And thats with lumbering Jed (later games lumbering Ned) in the equation. As for Gleeson, his first up attempted tip tackle on Harry indicates he is both worried and a good few years off test selection….unless we want to go back to the two card trick ala Swinton and Swain. Eddie probs wont tolerate that and wont necessarily want the bash barge Valetini. Harry W is the only 8 in Aust who could throw that pass to Ringrose to beat the French. Now as it happens he is slightly bigger than Doris by 1 cm and 1 kg(if the published stats are accurate),and so only has to match Dorris’s carries, just over 14/match (3rd in 6N…behind Finn Russell and Negri, and just over 5m/carry) to demonstrate to Eddie he is the one!

REACTION: Rennie and Wallabies 'crumble' in Auckland again as All Blacks put on a 'masterclass'

hello

REACTION: Rennie and Wallabies 'crumble' in Auckland again as All Blacks put on a 'masterclass'

yes it will be interesting to see what happens when Hooper returns….will selectors pick him again and destroy (never forget they destroyed the career of the best 7 in the world with his persistent selection) what looks like a true International back row without him.I would have McReight on the bench instead of Hooper,if a position has to be found for ‘him’.

REACTION: Rennie and Wallabies 'crumble' in Auckland again as All Blacks put on a 'masterclass'

Fantastic article, and abs correct IMO. Simmo and NED should never have been selected. A big worry re the new coach. The consequences of making Hooper irreplaceable ($s) has destroyed the Wbeez BR ‘balance’ for years and destroyed our BR depth. The loss of Fardy , McMahon,Gill etc (by the Clown )was unforgiveable. Hooper is an energy bunny operating in the flyweight division. This is Test Rugby people! Look at England’s backrow,or any other International team! Put him on for last 20 if you must…..but a rest would be better.

Youth is no excuse for national humiliation, but it is the solution

Stop it you are killin me 😂 Wbeez got what they deserved.Ned on for 80 mins and with Simmo at the end….energy level zero. Lets hope the Coach isnt so proud that he cant cut both of them immediately. And get rid of Gordon for Taity!

Ned Hanigan returns as Dave Rennie makes four changes to Wallabies team for Bledisloe 2

Advocate….no one who knows anything about Rugby could be!Hes a lock if anything (and not an international one). At 6 ,where he cant play at all…and we have already seen him try…thats why he is in the second row. And as for an 80 mins player,,,,he trips over his own feet after 5 mins! This is a bad sign,,,shades of the Clown thinking 😔

Nick ,do something useful and give us an analysis as to why England’s Underhill is so effective ,and Hooper for all his energy, is not.

Cheika's league tactics explain the Wallabies' fall from grace

He is completely to blame. He was snapped up on basis of the RWC Final because he had so little time to destroy what Link had built. He was given everything he wanted and as Lara points out …behold his Wallabies!
