Let’s be real.
A full strength England side playing there a game would beat the Barbarians.
And what would we learn nothing.
So they do something different, play new guys new strategy etc. To see what they can learn.
It’s basically a free game to do done research and development.
How the media can’t figure it out is astonishing. They are still back in the 80’s and 90’s.

Nothing. I live in Melbourne and I’m a NZ. Totally appreciate the sport. Still don’t watch it after 13 years.
Back in NZ they have no idea about AFL. So don’t take it personally.

The Sky deal includes sevens, women’s, mens, NPC and other things.
It’s not just Super Rugby.

They do share revenue for Super rugby.
They also have their own deals with respective broadcasters.

Aus needs to concentrate on their NRC comp first.

This is good and well but you must have the players, money, infrastructure and coaching talent.
I really think you drive your NRC comp.
The Super comp acts as a ultimate professional finishing league.
Thus help for the Wallabies.
Then say in 12-20 years you could wrap it into a Australian only comp.
But you must build it ground up from NRC.

You make a good point, it does include other NZ comps not just Super. The Sky deal.
So they do share the collective money earned.
How do we trust them now is my concern going forward.

Silverlake brought a percentage of the commercial rights.
They didn’t buy Nz rugby.

I feel you need to definitely grow a semi amateur comp NRC.
That feeds into Super Rugby.
Then hopefully Aus can grow more NRC teams and Super teams.

I just feel Aus needs to stay in with NZ.

Reality was how are you going to play rugby in NZ or South Africa while covid spreading 2020.
South Africa got what the wanted, to play up north.
South Africa also wanted more teams they got that.
Right now we have the chairman of RA talking in the media about leaving Super Rugby in the week of a final.
Not even Rennie or the Aus Super teams want to leave.
Let’s stop blaming NZRU for everything thing. It’s becoming boring.
