Agree. He could end up outgunned by the like of Del Potro and others. Murray with a 2nd serve and the confidence that could come from it would be a different opponent. I don’t see a passing of the Federer or Nadal flame, but others will share the fire a little more often from now on. This is a topic I’ve written about on my blog, comparing Rog and Rafa’s careers to date with the top 6 major winners before them, all of whom continued to win majors longer than either current rival. I’ll send this post to ROAR.

Joker himself has talked about how important the tournament in Belgrade was to him. He doesn’t have to run it to let himself be distracted by it, but I’m simply saying from my observation, he is more distractable than a Rafa. He’ll try to get focused before majors, Davis Cup defense, and Olympics 2012, but I expect mixed results. I would not have said the same thing about Rog in January ’06, or Rafa in January ’08.
I respect Joker more for having wider and perhaps more important interests than his own tennis. I hope tennis is a vehicle for him to lead a life full of accomplishments with meaning that transcends sports.
