Mainly an AFL player, Ruckman, but long-time and passionate Rugby fan. I played rugby at Narrabeen school, Australian College of Physical Education (Teachers College) and while a volunteer in Nuku'nuku, Tonga. Second row, no 4 in lineout. I like to think that I invented the concept of the banana kick (or Check-side in South Australia where it was invented) when kicking for the sideline (boundary), especially when close to the sideline. The first time that I did it in a game was in 1975.
