The biggest point out of that performance from the Rebels.
Is how much they missed LSL
He is their forwards leader.
He sets the physicality level.
The form aus lock
Hope he is back soon.
The other issue is Parling as line out coach for Wallabies. Scott Barrett destroyed the Rebels line out.
Not a good sign.

'We got our pants pulled down': Rebels smashed in reality check as Crusaders keep finals hopes alive

Coincidental. This is a tactic. A tactic which has now been approved. Empowered. Rewarded
Ok. Let’s see if someone else does the same thing. Especially an Aussie

This one wasn’t late like the cheap shot on Lynagh. Very doubtful if arms are looking to wrap. More of a shoulder charge to me.

I just hope there is consistency.
Imagine the uproar if Swinton hit McKenzie like that. Their would calls seeking the death penalty.

Btw. Aussie forwards. Time to protect. Payback. You need to increase physicality. Fight fire with fire.

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

Big news for the tigers.
Finally got all the pieces in place with Richo signing longterm.
Watch them grow now.
Exciting times ahead for tigers fans.

NRL News: Ferguson's marquee deal terminated by semi-pro team, Benji happy with Tigers' CEO call

Great to see AAA back.
Fully fit first Wallaby picked.
I hope they ease him back.
Nella and Leota both showed this is an injury to comeback via a progressive plan.
The canes have a serious scrum. He will be under pressure from the get go.
Len has been sorely missed both defensively and attacking options.
If the Brums are any chance. It’s the forwards who need to bring physicality up 300% from last week. I’m looking at you tight 5. Lift your game.

Brumbies to welcome back Wallabies duo for 'Canes clash after week of soul-searching, Tahs to tweak side for Chiefs

Christy. Need to take a chill pill
Rodda and Beale were good for 1 game.
Are we now picking Wallabies off 1 game in a couple of years.?

Rodda can make his way back to Wallabies. I doubt by mid year.
Unsure about Beale getting back.
We have some good young backs that we need to develop. They need to be at international level for experience.

In my opinion the form lock in Aus atm is Luhkan SL.
Holloway has been good especially at line out. Although I feel his work rate is not high enough for test rugby.
I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom in the locking stakes. I would select and have Skelton return.
Frost is developing. So is Canham.
Is Hooper a lock or no 6?
Is Valentini a 6 or 8 under Joe. ?

I await with interest what Joe is seeing and thinking.

Five things: What Beale has over other golden oldies, double pain for Brumbies as Blues expose Australia's biggest weakness

The Corolla got a new engine last week with Rodda.
Beale was the restored gearbox.

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

Well done force.
Since season start I have bagged there forwards.
Happy to be proven wrong.
Rodda was better than I remembered.
He led the forwards. Hit hard. He was calming. Spoke to other forwards.
And he’s a big unit. Intimidating.
The Crusaders are not a bad team by any stretch.
It goes to show that the difference from top dog to lower of the table can be small.
In saying that. The gap between the Brumbies and Blues last night was immense. Physicality was the obvious difference. That and lack of ball.
The Aussie teams are doing well and having a real go.
Time to go next level in physicality for next level results.

Beale, Rodda shine on Super Rugby return as Force smash Crusaders to keep finals hopes alive

I did say next week was a different challenge against blues.
Aussie teams are not there yet.
But progress is progress.
Isn’t it nice to have some rivalry back

'Like a Scud missile': World Cup reject leads rout, but Reds suffer fresh blow with Petaia's season in jeopardy

I was at the game last night.
The Reds were not perfect by any stretch.
That said there was not one area that they did not dominate a kiwi team.
Physically. Composure amongst them.
As an Aussie highly enjoyable watching a kiwi team implode.
Getting bashed and beaten badly.

Different challenge next week for reds against the blues.

But for Aussies and Wallabies fans.
I’ve said before.
The tide is turning. There will be some downs. The trend is going the right way.
I’m enjoying the ride.

'Like a Scud missile': World Cup reject leads rout, but Reds suffer fresh blow with Petaia's season in jeopardy

I think pollard is the future.
Big, fast. Needs game time.
He has the attributes of having a long wallabies career.

Aussie-born England capped rake Nic Dolly signs with Force ... and he'll soon be eligible for the Wallabies

A little disappointed to be honest.
His record is not good.
It’s a core function. Schmidt will want a high success rate at lineout.
Hope he can deliver.
On the flip side. Last year it could have Laurie Daley or Alfie Langer appointed to this role.

CONFIRMED: Wallabies land final piece of coaching puzzle as ex-Lion signs on ahead of showpiece event

I hope he has an injury free run for a few years.
Mentioning him for Wallabies this year is a fair stretch and highly ambitious.
I rate him zero chance for wallabies mid year.
Give him time to build confidence and recover fully.
If there is any team that needs a forwards leader it’s the force.
Hopefully he can recover and lead the forwards. The signing of BPA is also good. Horton is too small.

Wallabies star set to make timely return against Crusaders in must-win clash for Force

I’m sorry.
Did you say Weak headbutt. ?
He nearly threw his neck out with the force and intent he was trying to achieve.

'Not ideal': Reds star duo cop Super Rugby bans after red cards - but where's the consistency?

Louis. Another good sunny coast grammar boy.
He’s a goer. A larrikin.
Unsure of lose canon.
He’ll give his all.

'Not ideal': Reds star duo cop Super Rugby bans after red cards - but where's the consistency?

Mmmmm. Hard to see how the punishment fits the crime in this system.
Jone gets 2 weeks for a full force malicious head butt with serious intent. That due to good luck only scrapped Mafi.

Tate who threw a handbag with intent. Arguable if it was malicious. Gets 3 weeks. Far less dangerous

Im not arguing about the sanction. Just trying to understand the system.

Fraser is sanctioned with the view to reduce head contact. Hang on.
What’s a head butt if not head contact?

The mystery of the FRPC logic continues.

'Not ideal': Reds star duo cop Super Rugby bans after red cards - but where's the consistency?

Well done Rebels.
I will admit that after first game of the season and all that was going on.
I thought they were a basket case and would be lucky to win a game.
They have a serious pack of forwards.
Very happy to be proven that I was wrong.
Let’s not put too much pressure on Lancaster. In saying that he has some skills that are uncoachable. Just natural talent. The pickup at full speed. Wow.

The big story for aus rugby is beating kiwis is becoming a habit.
It’s getting to them.
Jeff Wilson called the crusaders loss to Waratahs a “shock”.
Really. They beat them 5 weeks ago Jeff.
In relation to Carter. He will be something special. He needs time. He’s young. He has bounced back from the WC debacle.
He can read the game. Has an attacking mindset and he defends hard in the front line. On top of that he is leading the team around. Long term no 10 for wallabies.

'Kid wonder': Lancaster, Gordon shine as Rebels take one giant step in locking in maiden Super Rugby finals berth

Wilson comparing Tate incident to Lomani is ridiculous.
Brain explosion is the only commonality.
Both yellow cards. No problem.
Red. Please.
Tate couldn’t knock the top off a crème custard.
This was a knee jerk reaction to the negative feedback regarding 2 weeks for a head butt.
Let’s see if there is any sense in suspensions. I fear not.

'Brain explosion': Wallaby stars sent off as Queensland left red-faced in Moana Pasifika shocker

Wilson comparing Lomani incident to Tate is ridiculous
The only similarity is that it was a brain explosion.
Both deserved yellow. No prob.
Red. Please. What a joke. Tate couldn’t knock the top of a crème custard.
This is a knee jerk reaction to the criticism of 2 week head butt ban.
Let’s see if the suspensions relate to any common sense.

'Brain explosion': Wallaby stars sent off as Queensland left red-faced in Moana Pasifika shocker

Can we back off on calling Harrison the answer for the wallabies at 10 just yet. Pasitoa had a few good games and he was spruiked as a wallaby. Far too early.
We have good young 10s atm.
Let them develop. Consistency is the key.
All of them need to continue to work on kicking game.
The thing that has impressed me with the Waratahs and the Rebels.
Is the physicality. They are bashing kiwi teams.
Haven’t seen that in a long while.
It needs to continue. Actually. Needs to go up another level.
The tide is turning. Effort is being rewarded with some luck.

'Last few years have been hell': Iceman 2.0 Harrison gets 'dream come true' in Tahs' stunning golden point win

Correct. That’s why RA should not invest a cent in him.
He’s not a 12. He’s not a. 13. He’s not a 6. And he’s not an 8.
So what position would he play?
As I said. Thanks but no thanks.

Rooster must remodel: Angus Crichton says he'd want to 'dominate' in rugby union - this is what he'd have to change

He’s just playing games. Trying to make it look like he’s wanted more than what he is.
He wants to dominate. He’s zero chance of that. Totally different game
And he had been away too long. His skills have been changed to suit league.
As mentioned. I don’t see what position he plays. Best I can think of is 7. And that’s a position with specific skills.
Thanks but no thanks Angus.

Hi piru
Thanks.
I get your point. It’s a discussion

I understand your team the force have a good pathways program.

For me it’s about the pipeline to SR
Are the junior competitions growing?
It’s a numbers game
What are we doing about pathways?
Jack Barrett, Marley Pearce should not be playing SR yet.
Both are good prospects. Do we want them smashed mentally , physically before they turn 24. They are props. They take time.

It’s a dilemma. What’s the best way?
Losing badly and importing players from overseas is not the answer.

I maintain presently we do not have enough forwards for 5 SR teams.

Beale's back! Wallabies star joins Western Force after injury opens the door for veteran's return

As a discussion point that has come up previously
Who truly believes that Australia has enough talent for 5 SR teams?

The Force have injuries in forwards.
That aside. Injuries are part of the game.
I think it’s obvious we do not have enough depth for 5 SR teams especially in the forwards.
Thoughts.

Beale's back! Wallabies star joins Western Force after injury opens the door for veteran's return

Good luck to Beale. Problem is he can’t do anything behind a pack of forwards that are made of paper.
The Force forwards are in serious need of reinforcements. Cull

Beale's back! Wallabies star joins Western Force after injury opens the door for veteran's return

This is an example of financial irresponsibility
The Rebels are a financial basket case.
Based in a city with minimal media coverage. Low crowds.
Tell me how they move forward even if they are bailed out?
They will be in same position in a short period.
People will say the storm did it.
The NRL had the money. The commitment for a long term plan.
RA have neither.

What the Rebels players should be demanding to know, as Twiggy's ex-rival throws a familiar hail Mary
