Can we back off on calling Harrison the answer for the wallabies at 10 just yet. Pasitoa had a few good games and he was spruiked as a wallaby. Far too early.
We have good young 10s atm.
Let them develop. Consistency is the key.
All of them need to continue to work on kicking game.
The thing that has impressed me with the Waratahs and the Rebels.
Is the physicality. They are bashing kiwi teams.
Haven’t seen that in a long while.
It needs to continue. Actually. Needs to go up another level.
The tide is turning. Effort is being rewarded with some luck.

'Last few years have been hell': Iceman 2.0 Harrison gets 'dream come true' in Tahs' stunning golden point win

Correct. That’s why RA should not invest a cent in him.
He’s not a 12. He’s not a. 13. He’s not a 6. And he’s not an 8.
So what position would he play?
As I said. Thanks but no thanks.

Rooster must remodel: Angus Crichton says he'd want to 'dominate' in rugby union - this is what he'd have to change

He’s just playing games. Trying to make it look like he’s wanted more than what he is.
He wants to dominate. He’s zero chance of that. Totally different game
And he had been away too long. His skills have been changed to suit league.
As mentioned. I don’t see what position he plays. Best I can think of is 7. And that’s a position with specific skills.
Thanks but no thanks Angus.

Rooster must remodel: Angus Crichton says he'd want to 'dominate' in rugby union - this is what he'd have to change

Hi piru
Thanks.
I get your point. It’s a discussion

I understand your team the force have a good pathways program.

For me it’s about the pipeline to SR
Are the junior competitions growing?
It’s a numbers game
What are we doing about pathways?
Jack Barrett, Marley Pearce should not be playing SR yet.
Both are good prospects. Do we want them smashed mentally , physically before they turn 24. They are props. They take time.

It’s a dilemma. What’s the best way?
Losing badly and importing players from overseas is not the answer.

I maintain presently we do not have enough forwards for 5 SR teams.

Beale's back! Wallabies star joins Western Force after injury opens the door for veteran's return

As a discussion point that has come up previously
Who truly believes that Australia has enough talent for 5 SR teams?

The Force have injuries in forwards.
That aside. Injuries are part of the game.
I think it’s obvious we do not have enough depth for 5 SR teams especially in the forwards.
Thoughts.

Beale's back! Wallabies star joins Western Force after injury opens the door for veteran's return

Good luck to Beale. Problem is he can’t do anything behind a pack of forwards that are made of paper.
The Force forwards are in serious need of reinforcements. Cull

Beale's back! Wallabies star joins Western Force after injury opens the door for veteran's return

This is an example of financial irresponsibility
The Rebels are a financial basket case.
Based in a city with minimal media coverage. Low crowds.
Tell me how they move forward even if they are bailed out?
They will be in same position in a short period.
People will say the storm did it.
The NRL had the money. The commitment for a long term plan.
RA have neither.

What the Rebels players should be demanding to know, as Twiggy's ex-rival throws a familiar hail Mary

For those who doubt the importance of Nella remaining in Australia.
And I have read many who do.
The fact that he is a priority to Cron, Schmidt should give all doubters that he is paramount to the Wallabies.
Wallabies have good cattle.
The backup , depth of cattle is the challenge.
80% selection.
100% clarity on a shared mental model of the team goal.
100% scrum efficiency
95% line out efficiency
95% attack ruck efficiency
Add in discipline.
We are on our way with a coaching team that values core skills.
This can be turned around quick.
Can’t wait.

How Schmidt landed All Blacks icon at Wallabies - and why '80 per cent of coaching is selection'

Horrendous doesn’t fully describe how bad the force were.
They were truly awful.

I said after first round they would be lucky to win a game.
Surprised me against Brumbies.

The forwards are embarrassing.
Schoolboys could out muscle them.

I keep hearing about Cron as a coach.
Haven’t seen anything yet to convince me they are improving.

Only way out of this is for the force chase and contract most of the Rebels forwards when they can

Hate to say it . Not enough cattle in Aus for 5 SR teams.

'Worst rugby I've ever seen': Force coach apologises for horrendous performance in loss to Moana Pasifika

If Suuallii is having doubts. And he has history being challenging with contracts.
Let him stay in RL

Marky will be back. I would suggest in 12 months time. The experience will not have done him any harm.

The money saved on Suuallii is better spent on the good batch of youngsters coming thru.

Players will go overseas. Most come back better players. So, what’s the problem. It’s helps by providing opportunities.
Pick overseas players for Wallabies.

As for the Rebels. RA can’t keep bailing them out. They have to go.
It’s purely a commercial decision.

RA reeling and facing a mass exodus of biggest stars - there are three key reasons why they're in peril

By the way.
Lachie Swinton would have got 6 weeks. For that tackle.

'What you permit, you promote': Reds slam late 'cheap shot', HMP set to start ahead of Lynagh in Rebels grudge match

It’s a cheap shot. Clear and simple
Very late. . No wrapping

OKeefe favours kiwi sides. Never rated him.
It was a yellow card everyday of the week.

Let’s not forget OKeefes horrendous decision not to give a penalty to Luke Remier a few years ago in a semi final.
Luke had hold of the ball for about 5 mins.

'What you permit, you promote': Reds slam late 'cheap shot', HMP set to start ahead of Lynagh in Rebels grudge match

Couldn’t agree more.
I try not to bag referees
If you lose it sour grapes.
When you win. I hope it’s objective.

Even Ben OKeefe couldn’t deny the Reds
And it wasn’t from lack of effort on his part.

OKeefe has one black eye. One white.
Whenever aus teams play kiwis.
Who remembers the semi final a few years ago when he ripped off the brumbies.

Great to see an Aussie team tough it out for the win.
The tide is turning.

'Over the moon': Reds deny Chiefs for 23 PHASES to win 'titanic' trans-Tasman clash as Kiss' revolution continues

A lot of bagging tupou. Really?
He’s a once in a generation genetic freak.
No big man moves like him.
Can destroy opposition scrums on his own.
He has had some injuries over past few years.
Once game fit and fully recovered. He will play 60
Potentially the best tight head in the world.
What’s the first position picked in any team tight head.
Uelese is a different story. Never lived to hype and still can’t throw into a lineout.

'I'm proud': $1.2m man Tupou stars to help Rebels claim second win overseas since 2019, Uelese's best match

Australian teams have forgotten how to win.
I don’t agree with everything Eddie said or did. But. He was right on Australian teams not being mentally tough.
They need to keep staying in the fight.
It will turn and they will win a tight one.
They need to stay positive and work even harder.
The positive sign is in the last 2 weeks. Reds and Tahs have put themselves in positions to win.

Keep at it boys. You win 1 close one.
And the tide will begin to turn.

'Gutted': Edmed misses shot after siren as Tahs blow chance of going back-to-back against Kiwis for first time since 2015

Finally some good common sense news.
It’s just good to have some rugby news that is logical and will make a difference.

I doubt any rugby supporter will find anything negative in this
Well done to Schmidt.

Exclusive: Schmidt set to bring 'Lord' back to the Wallabies as first key appointment

Definitely best on ground.
Great to see him back.
Is he a 6 for wallabies.?

'We needed that': Gordon, Kellaway star in Rebels' epic comeback win as Force capitulate

Question.
Why are the Rebels not linking with the storm
Half time comments indicated crusaders and storm have sine links. Wtf?
Does this make sense to anyone?

Give the wooden spoon to the force now.
Will be lucky to win a game.
No forwards
Clean out 90% of there forwards. Start again.

'We needed that': Gordon, Kellaway star in Rebels' epic comeback win as Force capitulate

I fully agree. Tight head is the most influential position.
I asked recently in roar somewhere. The number of injuries in the AUS SR teams even before round 1 is staggering.
And particular reason why?
Pearce has a big future. We don’t want him coping a scrum hiding everyweek until he learns his craft. Bringing him along at the right pace. That’s the challenge.
Kaitu’u will make a difference at scrum time. I don’t think it will be enough vs rebels. Who should monster the force at set piece.
Should doesn’t always work out and the rebels looked extremely unorganised.
So. Let’s see.

Force cop fresh blows after Rodda's latest setback and Pearce's ban, Rebels open up on 'deflating' start

I feel for Rodda but he’s not going to safe the Force.
I don’t see anything but pain for force supporters
The forwards are sub standard.
Yet to be convinced Donaldson is a good 10.
Keep hearing about the cron influence.
Not seeing much of that either.
I do want them to succeed. Just don’t see who they can beat

Force cop fresh blows after Rodda's latest setback and Pearce's ban, Rebels open up on 'deflating' start

Agree. I know it’s a hard call. But honestly. Did you watch the games.
The difference between the crusaders and chiefs game was immense.
It’s like the force and the rebels team hadn’t met their teammates before kickoff. Just met at the game
Basic skills like catching the ball. Kicking, passing. It was poor.
I won’t even mention the set piece of scrums and line out. Verging on embarrassing.
It’s going to be a long season for these 2 teams.

'Own worst enemy': Rebels' month from hell continues as Brumbies smash Aussie rivals, Lolesio's timely reminder

The big thing for me is.
Have you seen how many players have been injured during training before the season even starts.
I cannot remember a period of so many injuries.
The last few years has been horrific for injuries.
Is Australia suffering more injuries than anywhere else?
Are they training too hard?
Is it because the players are so big now?

Is anybody looking at this?
I am not one for putting players in cotton wool.
I actually want them playing more.
But the injury toll that the AUS SR teams have is ridiculously high for this time of the year.
Thoughts?

'There is hatred': Reds, Tahs set to spring selection surprises at fullback for grudge match, Force lose trio

I was in Brisbane when the Wallabies were in front. The clock was just about up. and White box kicked.
The All Blacks scored after the box kick.
Can’t remember the year.
It was a poor decision. I lost faith in White then and there.
We have some good 9,s coming thru .
Lonegan will be free to grow at Brumbies now.
Sorry, you are next to zero chance to make 2027.
Help bring the young ones thru.

Care factor: How England veteran and Broncos star are fuelling Nic White's 2027 World Cup ambitions

Great to see positivity.
Now all you supporters. Get to the games. Any rugby game.
Let’s show our support.
See you at Suncorp sat night.

Bollocks to the doom merchants - Super Rugby 2024 offers Australian rugby its most glorious opportunity

Lucky. Thanks for providing thoughts on the way forward.
Rugby needs a forward looking positive plan.
Rugby needs some good news stories.
This is at the very least starting a discussion and provoking thought
The biggest challenge and has been for sometime is to get rugby in Australia aligned and stop the self preservation of individuals. The mindset needs to shift to be about the good of the game.

Seven point plan to save Super Rugby
