I was in Brisbane when the Wallabies were in front. The clock was just about up. and White box kicked.
The All Blacks scored after the box kick.
Can’t remember the year.
It was a poor decision. I lost faith in White then and there.
We have some good 9,s coming thru .
Lonegan will be free to grow at Brumbies now.
Sorry, you are next to zero chance to make 2027.
Help bring the young ones thru.

Care factor: How England veteran and Broncos star are fuelling Nic White's 2027 World Cup ambitions

Great to see positivity.
Now all you supporters. Get to the games. Any rugby game.
Let’s show our support.
See you at Suncorp sat night.

Bollocks to the doom merchants - Super Rugby 2024 offers Australian rugby its most glorious opportunity

Lucky. Thanks for providing thoughts on the way forward.
Rugby needs a forward looking positive plan.
Rugby needs some good news stories.
This is at the very least starting a discussion and provoking thought
The biggest challenge and has been for sometime is to get rugby in Australia aligned and stop the self preservation of individuals. The mindset needs to shift to be about the good of the game.

Seven point plan to save Super Rugby

Fully agree. Too many times I have nearly kicked in the TV as I watch an aus SR team or Wallabies fail to secure there own ball on attack .
That’s why I would like to see Lord Fisher assisting the Wallabies again
I know he is helping the younger brigade. And he really deserves a restful retirement.
We need more work on the fundamentals and structure.

'Blew everybody's minds': The Rennie tactics Nic White expects Joe Schmidt to relaunch with wounded Wallabies

100%. We can’t keep hiding from the reality . The Wallabies as a team are mentally not at the same level as other nations. SR has taught them to accept losing.
And, no I do not propose more psychologists
This is not an overnight fix.
I do think more game time is definitely required.
Btw. This is hardly a relevation from EJ.

'Stands out like dog's balls', 'set up for failure': Wretched Eddie-Slips moment that explains World Cup disaster

I too are disappointed the rebels are in this state. They need to go. Rugby is in survival mode.
I will be accused of being an ass and insensitive. The carcass that is the rebels needs to cut up at years end.
The high performance team need to
Identify and retain the players they want, need for Wallabies.
They need to do this quickly.
The game needs the Wallabies to win to survive.
In these times. It’s business and survival first.

CONFIRMED: Rebels CEO made redundant and coaches have contract cuts as hopes of Super Rugby survival fade

Anybody who watched the U20s last year. Will tell you DeLutis, Barrett , Pearce were outstanding
The junior all blacks scrum was destroyed at will.
They would have gone further at the junior World Cup if injuries, suspension ruled some of the above out.
These guys have a big future.

Aussie rugby is shooting itself in the foot over its recruitment strategy. It must change to give Wallabies a RWC hope

Hard to compare the storm to rebels.

In 2012. The NRL gauranteed the storm 26.5 million over 6 years.

The storm broke even financially for the first time in 2017
And winning of course helps.

The NRL committed and had the resources.
RA have neither.

Leaked document says RA out to 'destroy Super Rugby' and 'turn members against each other' as Rebels' pain comes to light

Agree. This looks like a pathetic attempt to cover up incompetence and/or the fact that the club in unsustainable.

How the hell can they afford Tanilla and Lukhan?

I have said it before. Rebels and Force are up against it.
They are in AFL mad areas. The media give absolutely zero coverage. No coverage means lack of sponsors , lack of commercial opportunities.

I just hope that when change comes. That we don’t end up in the fight that happened when the force were cut.

For me. I doubt the ability of the force and rebels to be long term viable.

Leaked document says RA out to 'destroy Super Rugby' and 'turn members against each other' as Rebels' pain comes to light

It sounds like Schmidt is the perfect man at the right time.
If he brings a culture of accountability, discipline, ownership, team first and continued growth. It will improve the young Wallabies greatly.
Imagine a disciplined, structured team with a plan and increased core skills.
Increased certainty in set pieces and ball retention, greater confidence in defensive patterns.
The only issue will be. How does Schmidt do that in such a limited time. I think it 5 training sessions before first test.
I believe we all need to be patient.

'Something we needed': Coles says ABs would not have made RWC final without Schmidt - and why Wallabies stand to benefit

Compared to what we have been through over the last year.
I’d settle for
1. A coaching team, assistants that actually know what they are coaching.
2. An actual game plan and structure.
3. A disciplined team. Not leaking penalties
4. Growth and confidence in set piece and fundamentals.
5. Humility.
Good luck Joe. As I reflect on above list. You seem to be all over it.

'Not expecting miracles': Schmidt tempers Wallabies hopes as coach outlines No.1 priority

The crux of the issue is viability, financial sustainability.
For the force and rebels. The environment they are in it is almost impossible.
They get next to zero media coverage in AFL mad cities.
You will hear more about one AFL player stubbing his toe in the off season than you will about the entire rebels organisation over the winter season.
No media coverage makes it hard to get sponsors , backers, grow new fan base.
The only way the force survive is Forrest.
Sorry to say it. Rebels will need to go.
The state of the SR comp is another issue and needs deep consideration
Time difference
Weeks between home games
Some very tough challenges that have been eating away the game for years.

Decision time: Clubs queuing up to pounce on Rebels' best as Rugby Australia given warning over in demand Wallabies

Cannot agree more.
Let’s move forward. Forget the shit show. Put a muzzle on Greg Martin and other negative people
I see a strong RA team coming together with what actually looks like a plan.
I don’t know about anybody else.
But if Schmidt can stop me nearly kicking in the tv by being structured, disciplined on the basics and giving the wallabies the ability to retain the ball in attack and win the ball in line outs. The results will come. I for one. Like boring.

COMMENT: In trading Greatest Showman for 'boring' and 'pragmatic' Sleepy Joe, RA gambling with game's future

MM has made his decision. Bye , don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Same view Gould had on Suaalii.
It’s a distraction now. A distraction Rugby doesn’t need .
Do not pick him for wallabies next year.
Reassess if he wants to return in a few years. But Do not pay overs if he returns.
Rugby has plenty of wingers.

'We don’t hold any grudges': Why Wallabies star will still be picked in 2024 despite NRL defection

Thanks but thanks
Don’t need him. Don’t want him
He maybe fast. Can’t kick. And we have much better wingers.
Hes not as good as he thinks

Rugby News: 'I'd carve up' - NRL flyer says he'd '100 percent' consider union deal, Potter targets Wallabies call up

Mmmm. So board members were scheming. So what?
Time to move on. It appears even rugby journalists are hell bent on fringing the sport to its knees. Give it a rest.

What I find interesting is NZ ,s joy at Hamish’s demise
That means they found him demanding and representing RA toughly. People here seem to think that’s bad
We know RA have been on the losing end of media deals for a long ,long time.
I for 1 see no problem in negotiating hard. Let’s see how the new regime go at negotiating with NZ.

COMMENT: 'Best interests of the game'? Hamish's dummy spit proves RA was right to cut him loose

So Hamish is gone. What next? Let’s have another review, talk about it and do absolutely nothing.
Who will lead us out of this mess?
I hear a lot of talk about states all having to agree, have input.
In most cases consensus fails to deliver on reform, results
Let’s see where we are in 12 months.
My prediction is zero change. Continued instability and same results. Losing at SR and international level.
But , the same people in state levels protecting their empires.
I would like to see all states and administrations look at this with a fresh set of eyes. ( new people). People with a growth mindset. We need to take some risk to get results. And we need to do it fast. The status quo has failed for far too long.

ANALYSIS: McLennan's fatal blind spot, and why his exit leaves Australian rugby in a better place and a worse one

100%agree
I’m just grateful at this critical time we can rely on the obvious nous, success, business strategy of the powerhouse areas of SA, Tassie and NT.
Stop the self interest.
Watch them all squirm away from centralisation once they have eliminated Hamish
I am not making his fan club. But. This his sacking is purely about self interest and inability to accept that papering over cracks is NOT working.
