Point me to where “elite” was used. “These people” too hey. Awesome.
.
Bobby D my boy, it’s about time you watched the vid and THEN respond to this article. Pat comes across very well after being asked a question. But some can’t help but get themselves righteously outraged by a reasonable opinion asked for and deftly given. He didn’t even say what you’ve suggested. And to suggest he’s being influenced “by a handful of people” is just nonsense. As is the suggestion that “these people” as you so eloquently put it, have been treated totally equally throughout their careers. You really know stuff apparently. Mates with Boland I expect to know this even though he’s one of “those people”.

'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview

That’s a bit rough.
.aus rugby has for too many yrs expected all their miseries to be vanquished by one person, whether that be player or coach. Maybe like Kiwis last year expecting all their miseries to be vanquished by changing the coach? It was a chorus line for a while there. Also sweeping but probably more accurate.
.
Did the recent narcissist masquerading as our coach take us to the brink? Absolutely. Will positive moves help take us back from that brink? Yep. Is Joe going to help connect Aus rugby more than over the last while? Yep. Has he got a solid record, history and respectful relationship with the new HP manager, with Nucifora in an advisory role, with Less Kiss. Yes, yes and yes. Are the players responding? Yes. Sounds a bit like a team approach but we shall see.
.
I haven’t seen much Messiah complex stuff. Just some much needed positivity after a horror stretch you couldn’t really understand. How about you let us enjoy that for a while without the typical haughtiness

How Joe Schmidt is going to 'connect us all' and bring Australian rugby back from the brink

Should be spicey. Apparently there’s a “retired” guy who may be looking for a gig. Kismet

'How do I get out of Australian rugby?' Wallaby's anguish after year from hell - and why there are 'no excuses' for Rebels

I quote Mr whistle-blower (retired)

“The chasm still exists between the perception of many, and the reality that is espoused by the players. The Jones naysayers have yet to have just one Wallaby who is not a fan of the man. Too much naivety here”..
I think those thoughts have been put to bed now on a number of occasions.

You did say good 5/8’s. Kafer didn’t get a lot of games and he actually went to Canberra Grammar. Pat Howard didn’t get a lot of games either and he’s a Marist Ashgrove old boy then Qld Uni then the Reds

A disastrous decline: 10 Years since the Waratahs won the Super Rugby title and reasons behind growing list of problems

Berrick Barnes (Ippy Grammar) & Elton Flatley (Joey’s), Matt Rogers (TSS) are products of Qld rugby schools and Matt Giteau from Canberra (St. Ed’s). Apart from that, you are correct

He’s making the right noises. I think Schmidt is short odds too

RA's new HP director 'totally open' to foreign coach as RA sets timeline, CEO reacts to player dismay over Eddie

Australia’s best ever coach” = a no brainer. Thankyou for a chuckle on a quiet-ish Tuesday morning.

It’s a big no from me but I appreciate your work

'Everyone's in the hunt': RA won't rule out stunning Wallabies return after Cheika departs Argentina role

No, ironically. I don’t think it’s the players perspicacity in question.

'An experiment gone wrong': Wallabies star opens up on 'chaotic' year - and why Aussie rugby can be turned around

So because the players haven’t come out and publicly slammed the man, they are all actually fans. And even after reading the above and what Whitey had to say, you believe him to be part of an all in Wallaby fan club.
Speaking of naivety and chasms….

'An experiment gone wrong': Wallabies star opens up on 'chaotic' year - and why Aussie rugby can be turned around

Sonny didn’t blatantly lie and more than once, which is the commentary. He left a contract yes, and the previous contract holders received $750,000. Totally different and not even close to worse.
.
And btw, it’s your opinion not a fact.

'What a disgrace. I feel sorry for Japan': Sonny Bill's blistering smackdown of 'full of crap' Eddie Jones

Not the same at all to me. See above

'What a disgrace. I feel sorry for Japan': Sonny Bill's blistering smackdown of 'full of crap' Eddie Jones

It’s the guy who left the Doggies at 23 as he was very unhappy there and he also had his eye on Rugby. Don’t remember his barefaced denial of involvement with Toulon at the time. And somehow Eddie deserves kudos because he “waited to sign sign his new contract until AFTER his current one was mutually terminated”? Comparing a 23 year old Sonny in his situation and the Doggies receiving 750k, to Eddie at 63 in his situation, apart from anything else, belligerently denying involvement prior, doesn’t work in my opinion. Different scenarios and doesn’t exclude Sonny from commentary.
.
I thought it was interesting he used “we” when speaking of Aus Rugby though.

…..and first points in karma for the snide commentary goes to

RA set to sign World Rugby's HP director - and he could help land Joe Schmidt as Wallabies coach

And he’s short-listed for the Georgian coaching role too, along with Schmidt. More news development

Eddie Jones has second interview with Japan weeks after quitting Wallabies

He turned down a better financial offer to go to the NRL but sure, all Dans fault. And you stated Qld and the Brumbies debt will be paid by NSWRU balance sheet

Done deal: Wallabies star signs with NRL powerhouse in brutal reality check for RA at start of 'golden decade'

I do too. Most would I imagine. As to whether Dan Herbert is a bad decision is a little early to call. Starting on him as early as you have, with commentary of him orchestrating board collusion, leading a coup, that QRU will use the NSWRU balance sheet to fund their financial shortcomings, that dear Hamish delivered a programme of opportunity the envy of the world (my personal favourite). And Marky leaving is Dan ‘s fault after what, 2.5 weeks.
.
So yeah, a very obvious axe to grind

Done deal: Wallabies star signs with NRL powerhouse in brutal reality check for RA at start of 'golden decade'

As in having a very obvious one to grind.

Done deal: Wallabies star signs with NRL powerhouse in brutal reality check for RA at start of 'golden decade'

Good luck to Marky. Not ideal but not something to be wringing hands over. Yes we have wingers so not a massive hole on that front but it’s his presence and persona that will be really missed. He is a bums on seat guy. Really hope he does come back down the track.
.
And LBJ, that axe is diminishing rapidly

Done deal: Wallabies star signs with NRL powerhouse in brutal reality check for RA at start of 'golden decade'

Not taking the p!ss Julius with a typo but I’m going to use that word ‘enormpous’. Thank you.
It will sit well in the lexicon with some others like ‘pistacular’, one of my favourites

“The refs should be accountable for their decisions, just like the players are”. They are. If they do a bad job it’s reflected in future games, as in less future games or, no future games at all. Off the list, reputation tarnished. It shouldn’t play out in the public realm and have certain fans griping about how we woz robbed, they even said so!!!
It sounds like you want them to apologise publicly to you, the fan. That does no good and quite a lot of bad

Rugby News: RWC final TMO quits over 'torrent of abuse', Wallabies Grand Slam tour touted, Fiji lock facing jail

Tighten up current review processes but above anything else, it has to be confidential. I don’t see how airing dirty laundry in any way helps things. We’ve seen that just recently. In spades.
.
Sitting with a Kiwi mate just last week who said. “Did you see WR came out and apologised to the AB’s about that decision blah blah blah.” Why? To what end? Makes no sense to me. My response by the way was “boo f……en hoo”, as you would to a mate….

Rugby News: RWC final TMO quits over 'torrent of abuse', Wallabies Grand Slam tour touted, Fiji lock facing jail

Seriously? Refs, like everyone, will make mistakes at times. That’s just how it is and always has been. The expectation is ridiculous and one persons “wrong” is another persons “great decision”. The problem is wholly with the abusers, not the refs who at times make mistakes. Raking over dead coals is a waste of time. Move on and don’t be a social media dick

Nope, you shared a questionable opinion first time. That’s all.

I’m wondering why FF?
